YOUR CALOR DEPILATOR.
Designed for the removal of leg hair, the Calor depilator breaks new ground. For the first time, you can remove your hair perfectly and gently.
- Your skin is kept cool thanks to the dual action of a hypoallergenic lotion and a cooling action. By virtue of its cooling activity, your skin is rendered less sensitive during depilation.
- Its miniature brushes prepare the skin for hair removal by gentle rubbing (which helps eliminate dead cells), making even the smallest leg hair stand on end, guiding them to the tweezers.
- Hair is removed at the root by several pairs of tweezers resulting in perfect depilation. Thanks to their special shape, the tweezers are able to grasp your hair cleanly and effectively. With the Rowenta depilator, your legs will continue to stay smooth for longer.
IMPORTANT
This appliance only works with the specific Calor lotion ref. 7494 for Caresse Perfection Douceur.
Using any other type of lotion may cause the appliance not to work correctly, causing problems which are not covered by the guarantee and for which Calor will not assume any responsibility.

PREPARING YOUR SKIN.
- Before hair removal : your skin should be clean and dry.
- Do not apply either cream or moisturiser.
- If you ordinarily shave your legs with a razor :
during your first experiences of depilation your skin may feel especially sensitive, as shaving has made hair thicker and harder. This sensation will lessen the more you use your hair remover :the hair will grow back less quickly and will become finer.
- Your depilator will be much more effective and easier to use if you use it regularly. We advise you to use your depilator as soon as your hair starts to grow back
- Only the dual action of the moistened felt pad and the air flow allow a proper cooling of the skin
- The Calor depilator lotion 7494 is hypoallergenic :it has been developed to minimise the risk of allergic reactions.
OPENING AND CLOSING THE BOTTLE OF LOTION.
To open the bottle of lotion :
- Break the protective seal and turn the lid of the bottle one quarter turn anticlockwise (fig.n° 1).
To close the top :
- Turn the lid clockwise.
FILLING THE RESERVOIR.
IMPORTANT: Ensure the felt pad holder is closed.
The green strip should not be visible (fig.n° 2).
- Remove the reservoir.
- Pull the reservoir ejector button at the back towards the depilator head (fig.N° 3)
- Remove the reservoir holding it vertically, its cap directed upwards.
- Open the cap of the reservoir (fig.N° 4).
- Fill the reservoir with the lotion up to the mark (do not overfill) (fig.N° 5).
- Close the reservoir cap.
- Put the reservoir back in place.
First insert the cap of the reservoir into the depilator, then press the felt pad holder to fix the reservoir into place (fig.N° 6).
A little click :the reservoir has been correctly fixed into place.
IMPORTANT :
- Three small openings under the felt pad holder allow the lotion to flow during depilation.
-
To wet the felt pad, slide its holder :
-
when the green strip is visible, the reservoir is open and the lotion flows (fig.n° 7)
- when it is not visible, the reservoir is closed (fig.n° 2)
REMOVING YOUR HAIR GENTLY.
Depilation takes place in 2 stages, area by area :
- stage 1 :the skin needs to be cooled,
- stage 2 :the hair is removed after cooling
First cool your skin with the moistened felt pad and the airflow.
- Plug the cord of the transformer into the depilator.
- Plug the transformer into a mains electric socket.
- Make sure that the reservoir is open :the green strip is visible, the lotion is flowing (fig. n° 7)
- Hold the depilator firmly in your hand (fig.n° 8)
- hold the unit in a tong-like grip
- the 3 selection selector should always be facing you.
- With your thumb push the selector towards the felt pad position (fig.n° 9)
- the airflow of your depilator is activated ,
- this allows faster lowering of your skin temperature.
- First apply the felt pad to your hand to ensure it moistens your skin.
- Apply the lotion with the moistened felt pad, rubbing over the same area 3 times (fig. n°10).
- Continue for each area of skin.
- Push the selector switch towards the depilator head position (fig.n° 11).
- The airflow and the tweezers of your depilator are activated.
- Remove the hair on the surface of the skin which has just been cooled :hold the depilator slightly tilted towards you, and move it slowly from the bottom up (fig.n°13).
- To avoid a pinching sensation, hold the skin taught where hair growth is sparse, such as the calves
MPORTANT :
If you press your skin too firmly your depilation will not be effective. To ensure an effective depilation, brush the skin lightly.
- Apply the lotion and airflow again and remove your hair.
- To stop the depilator, set the 3 position selector in the middle position (fig. N° 14) and disconnect the power lead and the adaptor.
- After depilation small red Dots may appear :this is a natural reaction. They will disappear quickly; For this reason, it is advisable to use your depilator in the evenings.
IMPORTANT :
When you wish to reapply the lotion, remember to push the 3 position selector power switch towards the felt pad in order to activate the flow of air (fig.N° 9). Using the moistened felt pad without airflow will prevent the skin from cooling down properly.
- Do not moisten the felt strip :
- the green strip should not be visible (fig. N° 2)
- you may clean your depilator.
