We thank you and congratulate you on your choice.
This practical appliance, modern and functional, is manufactured using materials of the highest quality which are subject to strict Quality Control throughout the entire manufacturing process. The appliance is meticulously tested to ensure that it meets your demands for perfect cooking.
We strongly advise you to read through and follow these simple instructions, to ensure that you get perfect results from the moment you first use this appliance. This book contains important information, not only on how to use the appliance, but also on maintenance and safety.
When our products are being transported, they need suitable protective packaging. However, we have reduced our packaging to the bare essentials, and all materials are all completely recyclable. You too can contribute to the conservation of the environment by depositing the packaging in the nearest recycling container. Used oil should not be poured down the sink as this causes serious damage to the environment. Place it in a sealed container and take it to an appropriate collection point, or if this is not possible place it in the rubbish bin, (it will end up in a controlled dump, which is not the best option but here it will not contaminate ground water). Both you and your children will be grateful.
Before you get rid of an old appliance, make sure you disable it, and then take it to a centre for recovering recyclable materials. Ask your local authorities for details of the centre nearest your home.

This is what your new cooking hob looks like

Gas burners
Fig.1
Each control knob indicates which burner it controls. (Fig.1)
To turn on a burner.
Connect the appliance by means of the main switch, its indicator which will come on. Then turn the chosen burner control to the left (anticlockwise) to the required position. The flame will automatically and the hotplate indicator light will come on.
If the spark plugs are dirty, then a fault may occur in the ignition system. Keep them completely clean. Clean the spark plugs using a small brush, remembering that the plugs must not receive any kind of violent impact.
If the main switch has been pushed but no burner ignited, the appliance will switch itself off automatically after 3 minutes.
If the burner goes out (e.g. a draught) when in use, the appliance will switch the hotplate on again automatically.
If this ignition is unsuccessful (e.g. as a result of boiled-over liquid on the burner), the flow of gas to this burner is interrupted and the hotplate indicator flashes. Turn the control knob to ● and check whether the cause can be rectified using the table on page 13.
Every hotplate features a safety pilot!
This means that if the flame ever goes out (e.g. is extinguished by boiled-over liquid), the flow of gas is interrupted.
To turn the burners off,
After finishing cooking, turn the controls to the off position and disconnect the appliance using the main switch. The main switch indicator will turn off.
The appliance switches off automatically after 6 hours of operation. Turn all the control knobs to the ● position and then you can turn the appliance on again.
Your modern functional hob is equipped with progressive valves which permit you to find the perfect flame setting between maximum and minimum.
Depending on the model that you have purchased, your hob may come with a triple-flame burner, the perfect system for cooking paellas, using woks, etc.
Gas appliances create both heat and humidity in the room they are used in. Make sure that your kitchen is properly ventilated: keep natural ventilation outlets open or install a mechanical ventilation system (extractor fan). When using your appliance for a prolonged period of time, it may be necessary to provide additional ventilation, e.g. by opening a window (without creating a draught) or turning up the setting on your mechanical ventilation. An orange-coloured flame is normal and it is produced in the presence of dust in the atmosphere, spillages, etc.
"Power on/off" and residual heat indicator
Every cooking zone is fitted with a “power on/off” and residual heat indicator which comes on when the flame on the corresponding burner is ignited.
The residual heat indicator continues to flash after the cooking zone has been switched off, provided the hotplate is still hot enough to be dangerous when touched.
The residual heat indicator goes out when the hotplate has cooled sufficiently.
Overheating protection
The hob is equipped with overheating protection to protect the electronics. This switches all the burners off in the event of overheating and the “power on/off” indicators in all the burners and the main switch flash.
Turn all control knobs to the ● position. Wait until the appliance has cooled down sufficiently and the power on/off indicator for the main switch has gone out. Now you can switch on the appliance as usual.
The burner power on/off indicators stop flashing rapidly or switch over to the residual heat indicator (slow flashing for hotplates which were in use).
Childproof locks
To activate the childproof locks, press and hold the main switch for several seconds until the main switch indicator starts to flash. The hob cannot then be switched on. Activated childproof locks are indicated by the indicator in the main switch flashing slowly (approximately every 4 seconds).
To deactivate the childproof locks, press and hold the main switch for several seconds until the main switch indicator comes on. The hob can then be switched on as usual.
Recommended diameter of cookware (in cm)
Depending on the model:
| BURNER | MINIMUM ∅ PAN | MAXIMUM ∅ PAN |
| Triple-flame burner | 22 cm | |
| Rapid burner | 22 cm | 26 cm |
| Semi-rapid burner | 12 cm | 20 cm |
| Auxiliary burner | 10 cm | 12 cm |
Additional pan supports
Fig. 5
Depending on the model, your hob may come with an essential supplementary pan support, on the triple flame burner for pans with a diameter of more than: 26 cm, roasting dishes, clay pots and all sorts of concave pans (woks, etc...). Fig5. If you do not have this additional cradle support, the manufacturer's technical service can supply you with one (code no. 363300).
Pan support for coffee pot: depending on the model, your cooking hob may include an additional coffee pot support, which is exclusively for use on the auxiliary burner with cookware of a diameter smaller than 10 cm. If you do not have this additional pot support, the manufacturer's technical service can supply you with one (code no. 184200).
The manufacturer declines all responsibility if these additional pan supports are not used or are used incorrectly.

Warnings when in use for cooking
NO

Do not use small diameter cookware on large burners. The flame should never come up the sides of the cookware.
YES
Always use cookware that are suitable for each burner, so as to avoid wasting gas and discolouring the cookware.

Never cook without a lid or with the lid half off – you are wasting energy.
Always place the lid on the cookware.

Never cook without a lid or with the lid half off - you are wasting energy.
Only use pots, saucepans and frying pans with thick, flat bottoms.

Do not place cookware on one side of a burner, as it could tip over. Do not use cookware with a large diameter on the burners near the controls, which when placed on the middle of the burner may touch the controls or be so close to them that they increase the temperature in this area and may cause damage.
Always place the cookware right over the burner, not to one side.

Never place cookware directly on top of the burners.
Place the cookware on top of the pan support.

Do not use excessive weight and do not hit the hob with heavy objects.
Handle cookware carefully when they are on the hob.

Cleaning and care
NO

NEVER use abrasive products, sharp instruments, steel scourers, knives, etc... to remove bits of hardened food that have stuck to the hob, pan supports, burns or electric hotplates. If your hob has got a glass or aluminium panel. Do not use knives, scrapers or similar implements for cleaning the joins with the metal.
DO NOT use steam cleaning machines to clean the hob, this could damage it.

Avoid spilling acidic liquids (such as lemon juice or vinegar) on your cooking hob.
YES
Once the appliance is cool, use a sponge, water and soap. Wipe away all spilled liquids as soon as spillage occurs to save unnecessary effort at a later stage.
In order to keep the burners and the pan supports clean they should be periodically cleaned by submerging them in soapy water and scrubbing them with a non-metallic brush so that all holes and grooves are perfectly clean and free from dirt. This will ensure correct flames. Always dry the burner covers and the pan supports if they have become wet.
After cleaning and drying the burners, make sure the burner covers are correctly placed on the burner's flame diffuser. If your appliance has single-piece burners (Monoblock), make sure that they are totally dry before they are next used.

The ring cover of the triple-flame burner and stainless steel parts such as grease pans and the area around the burners may become discoloured over time. This is NORMAL because of the high temperatures. Each time the appliance is used these parts should be cleaned with a product that is suitable for stainless steel.
After washing the pan supports, dry them completely before cooking with them again. Drops of water or damp patches on the surfaces when you begin cooking may cause deterioration of the enamel.
If the pan supports on your cooking hob are fitted with rubber rests, take care when you clean them, as they might come off, leaving your pan support without protection, and it may scratch the cooking hob.
The stainless steel cleaner must not be used in the area around the controls. The (printed) symbols may be wiped off.
Home troubleshooting
You don't always need to call the technical assistance service. Very often you can solve the problem on your own. The following table contains a few pieces of advice. Important note:
Only authorised personnel from our Technical Services Department can carry out work on the gas and electrical supply systems.
| Problem | Probable cause | Solution |
