This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.

CHARGING

• Fully charge the battery before the first use. This takes approximately 12 hours.
• The appliance can also remain in charging status for a longer time without getting damaged, although this is not recommended.
• With a fully charged battery the appliance can operate for about 30 minutes.
• If the performance of the appliance decreases noticeably, switch of the appliance and charge the battery.

• The appliance can also be used by connecting it directly to the power net with the adapter. In this case the battery should be charged briefly for about 10 minutes. Be sure that the appliance is switched off. The battery only charges when the appliance is switched off.

• Make sure that the appliance is switched off.

• Plug the small connection at the end of the adapter cord into the base of the trimmer.
• Connect the adapter to the power outlet. The battery will automatically start to charge and the red indicator light will light up for as long as the adapter is plugged in.
• When the battery is charged, first pull the adapter from the power outlet, before removing the connection from the base of the appliance.
• During charging the adapter will feel warm. This is perfectly normal and safe.
• If the appliance is not used for a long time, the battery capacity may decrease a bit. However, the capacity is restored after a few cycles of fully charging and fully discharging the battery.

USE

Replacing the shaver heads

To remove the shaver head: turn it counterclockwise to unlock.

To place the shaver head: place the shaver head onto the body so you can press it down and turn it clockwise to lock.

Attaching the comb attachments

Trimmer: the trimmer has 2 comb attachments for 4 different lengths: 3, 6, 9 and 12 mm. Place the comb attachment onto the trimmer, onto the side with the grooves, and click the comb attachment into the small holes at the sides of the shaver head. The attachment should be firmly locked. To remove the comb attachment: press the clip at the side of the attachment out of the small hole.

Body trimmer: the body trimmer has 2 comb attachments: 1,5 mm and 2,5 mm. Click the attachment onto the top of the body trimmer, the comb over the shaving foil, so that it locks into place.

Sideburn trimmer: the sideburn trimmer has 1 comb attachment. Slide the attachment into the grooves at the side of the sideburn trimmer, until it clicks into place. You can lock this attachment into 2 positions: 3,5 mm and 7 mm.

When placing the comb attachments, always make sure that the attachment is locked firmly into place.

Shaving and trimming

Caution: this appliance must never be used under water!

• Before use, apply a few drops of acid-free oil between the trimming comb and the blade.
• It is recommended to always start shaving with the largest comb attachment. This way you can gradually shorten the hair.
• Shave against the hair growth direction.
• Keep the shaver head/comb attachment flat against the head. Shave upwards.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Switch off the appliance and pull the plug from the power outlet before cleaning and oiling the trimmer.
• Make sure that the appliance and the adapter are not immersed in water and do not come into contact with water or any other liquid.
• If necessary the outer surfaces of the trimmer and the adapter can be wiped clean with a dry, lint-free cloth.
• Use the cleaning brush after every use to remove the remaining hairs between the trimming comb and the blade.
• Caution: the trimming comb and blade are sharp.
• Oil the trimmer before use and after every 15 minutes of use. Apply a few drops of acid-free oil between the trimming comb and the blade. Afterwards, switch on the trimmer to make sure that the oil is distributed evenly. Regular oiling guarantees good shaving performances during a long period of time and is beneficial for the lifecycle of the appliance.
