General Safety Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- Use the device for private and its intended purpose only. The device is not intended for commercial use.
• The power adaptor is only intended for use in dry environment. - Ensure that the output voltage, currency and polarity of the power adaptor correspond to the nameplate specifications!
• Do not touch the power adaptor with wet hands! - Disconnect from mains power supply if not in use, when attaching accessories, during cleaning and when malfunctioning.
- Regularly check the device and cable for signs of damage. Do not continue to operate the device in case of damage.
• Do only use original parts. - For the safety of your children, keep any packing parts (plastic bags, cartilage, Styrofoam etc.) out of their reach.
Special Safety Instructions for this Machine
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

WARNING:
- Before cleaning, disconnect the handset from the connection cable.
- Only use the adapter provided. It supplies low voltage to the shaver.
- Do not replace any parts nor modify the appliance. Danger of electric shock!

Charging the Unit
- Turn the unit off.
- Connect the adapter plug to the adapter jack on the bottom of the device.
• Plug the power adaptor into a wall outlet.
- The indicator light remains red during the charging process.

NOTE:
The charge indicator does not indicate the state of charge of the rechargeable battery.
- Charge the unit before first use for 10 hours.

NOTE:
• After initial use, do not charge the battery for longer than 8 hours at one time.
- For safety reasons, mains operation is not available for the wet shaver!

CAUTION:
After 8 hours always disconnect from mains power supply.

NOTE LIFEFIME RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
You can extent the lifetime of the rechargeable battery by following these steps:
• Only charge after the battery is nearly exhausted.
• Do not charge for more than 8 hours.
- Charge the unit at temperatures between 0^ and +40^ .
Shaving
- Remove the protective cover.
- Press the button.
- Hold the shaver at a right angle to your face.
- Follow the outline of your face, and continue to hold the shaver at a right angle to your skin. Small irregularities will be corrected by the flexible shaving foil.

NOTE:
• Shave against the direction of hair growth.
• If necessary, stretch the skin with your free hand.
• The device is suitable for wet shaving.
Using the long hair cutting attachment:
Use the long hair cutting attachment to precisely cut the hair or beard.
- Use the slide control to release or retract the long hair cutting attachment.
Stop operation
Press the ⏻ button again to stop operation.

Cleaning and Maintenance

WARNING:
Before cleaning the handset with water, disconnect it from the connection cable.

CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasives.
- Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
This device can be cleaned under running water.
- Switch of the shaver.
- Press the shaving head buttons.
- Rinse the shaving head and the two cutting units under running hot water. Clean the shaving head in soapy water once in a while.
- Rinse thoroughly with clear water afterwards.
- Let the cleaned parts dry.
Alternatively, clean the shaver with the brush provided.

CAUTION:
The shaving foil must not be cleaned with the brush.
• Use the brush to clean the cutter block and the inside of the shaving head.
Maintenance and replacement
- Clean the cutter block thoroughly once a month. If necessary, use special cleaning aids available in specialist shops.
- Lubricate the shaving foils and long hair cutting attachment with a light machine oil (a few drops suffice).
Replacement of shaving parts
In order to guarantee a 100% shaving performance, replace the shaving foils and cutting block every 18 months at the latest or if the shaving parts show signs of wear. It is recommended to replace both parts at the same time.

Remove / Dispose of Rechargeable Batteries
This unit is equipped with a rechargeable Ni-MH battery.
Remove the battery before disposing of the unit.

WARNING:
Disconnect from mains power supply before removing the battery!
• Use a small Philips head screwdriver to remove the housing screws.
• Separate both halves of the casing.
- Remove the rechargeable battery.
Return the battery at a collection point for batteries and/or hazardous waste. Ask your municipality for further information.
