-
Check the new device (incl. the cable and plug) for visible damage before use. Do not use a damaged device. Take it to your supplier for replacement.
-
Incorrect use or incorrect installation will create a risk of electric shock and/or fire hazard.
Use warnings
- Do not use any additions/accessories on the device that are not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer.
- The use of dust collection bags is not permitted. Fire hazard!
- Do not use the device without a properly installed filter. Only use the fire prevention filter supplied by the manufacturer!
- Use the device only for the purpose for which it was designed and in the manner described in this manual.
-
This device is intended for normal household use only.
-
The supply voltage and frequency stated on the device must correspond to those of the socket to be used and the electrical installation must be equipped with an earth leakage circuit breaker of 30 mA. The socket you use must be easily accessible at all times, so that the plug can be quickly removed from the socket in an emergency.
-
Completely unwind the electrical cable from the appliance before inserting the plug into the socket and make sure that the electrical cable does not come into contact with the hot parts of the appliance or that it can become hot in any other way. Do not route the electrical cable under carpet, do not cover it with mats, runners or the like and keep the cable away from the walking route. Take care not to step on it or place heavy objects on it. Do not route the electrical cable around sharp corners and do not wind it too tightly after use! Prevent the electrical cable from coming into contact with oil, solvents and sharp objects. Check the electrical cable and plug regularly for damage. Do not twist or kink the electrical cable; it can damage the insulation!
-
The use of an extension cable is not recommended because it can cause overheating and fire. If the use of an extension cable is unavoidable, make sure to use an undamaged, approved extension cable with a minimum diameter of 2x1.5 mm² and a minimum permitted power of 1500 Watt (maximum 10 meters long). Always unwind the extension cable fully to prevent overheating.
-
Keep the device away from direct sunlight, operating heaters, open flames and high temperatures. This could warp or break the plastic.
-
The device contains internally hot and/or glowing and sparking parts. Therefore, do not use the device in an environment where fuels, paint, flammable liquids and/or gases
etc. are kept. Do not use the device in a flammable environment such as near gas tanks, gas pipes, paint and dust mist or spray cans. This creates an explosion and fire hazard!
- When setting up the device, make sure to place it on a safe and solid surface.
- The device is suitable for extracting cold ash from fireplaces, wood or coal stoves, ash drawers and grills. Ash with a temperature higher than 40^ C must never be vacuumed! Cold ash has had sufficient time to cool down and contains no glowing embers, hot residues or objects in which the fire has not been completely extinguished; check through the ash (using a metal tool) on it before you start vacuuming! Cold ash no longer produces palpable heat.
- Only vacuum ash from conventional and approved fuels.
- Do not use this device for vacuuming out (gas) boilers or oil-fired heating equipment.
- Empty the boiler from the appliance before and after each use and clean it, to prevent materials from collecting in the boiler that present a fire hazard.

- Hazardous substances such as asbestos etc.
- Highly flammable substances such as gasoline, gas oil, etc. Do not use the device in a room where these substances are or may be present.
-
Flour, cement dust, calcareous, gypsum or graphite powder, etc.: this can obstruct ventilation, damage the motor and cause overloading.
-
While using the device, keep a constant check on the heating of the device and the suction hose.
-
Make sure that no water gets into the hood; water in the motor can cause damage or injury!
-
Do not insert any objects into the device through the openings. Do not use the device if the openings are blocked. Keep the device free from dust, wires, hairs or whatever might block the air flow.
-
Use extra caution when working on stairs!

Maintenance warnings
- This device is subject to wear and tear due to use. Therefore, check the device regularly for damage and/or defects.
- Keep the device clean. Dust, dirt and/or deposits in your device are a common reason for overheating. Make sure that these deposits are regularly removed.

- Check whether the HEPA filter (9) has been positioned correctly.
- Replace the motor cover (3) on the boiler (5) and close both clamps (10).
- If you want to vacuum up ash, connect the hose to hose connection 1.
- If you want to blow, connect the hose to hose connection 4.
