Frequently Asked Questions - NI-707521 Icidu

How do I reset the Icidu NI-707521 to factory defaults?
Locate the reset button on the back panel. Use a paperclip to press and hold the button for about 10 seconds while the router is powered on. The lights will flash and the router will reboot with factory settings.
What is the default IP address to access the router's web interface?
The default IP address is usually 192.168.1.1. Enter this in your browser's address bar. The default username and password are often 'admin' (both lowercase). Check the label on the router if different.
How can I change the Wi-Fi password?
Log into the web interface (default IP 192.168.1.1). Go to Wireless Settings and select Security. Choose WPA2-PSK as the encryption type and enter your new password. Click Save to apply.
My internet is not working after setup. What should I check?
First, verify that the WAN cable is connected to the router's WAN port. Then log into the web interface and go to Quick Setup to check your connection type. Select Auto-Detect or manually enter your ISP details (PPPoE username/password or Dynamic IP). Ensure the router's status shows 'Connected'.
How do I use the WPS feature to connect a device?
Press the WPS button on the router for about 2 seconds. Then, on your wireless device, select the WPS option and follow its instructions. The connection should be established automatically within 2 minutes.
What is the difference between PPPoE and Dynamic IP connection types?
PPPoE requires a username and password from your ISP (common for DSL connections). Dynamic IP means your ISP automatically assigns an IP address via DHCP (common for cable modems). Choose the correct type in Quick Setup.
Can I use the Icidu NI-707521 as a wireless repeater or bridge?
The manual does not explicitly mention repeater mode. This router is primarily a standard wireless router. For extended coverage, consider using it as a secondary router with LAN-to-LAN connection and disabling DHCP, or purchase a dedicated range extender.
How do I update the firmware?
Check the Icidu website for firmware updates. Download the latest firmware file. Log into the web interface, go to System Tools > Firmware Upgrade. Browse to select the file and click Upgrade. Do not power off during the process.
I forgot the router's login password. How can I recover it?
The only way to recover a lost password is to reset the router to factory defaults using the reset button (see FAQ 1). This will erase all custom settings. After reset, use default credentials (admin/admin) to log in.
Is the Icidu NI-707521 compatible with Windows 10?
Yes, the router is compatible with any operating system that supports standard networking protocols. No special drivers are needed. Simply connect via Ethernet or Wi-Fi and configure through a web browser.
