Scope of Delivery and Inspection for Transport Damages
The standard scope of delivery of this unit includes the following components:

NOTE
▶ Check the content for completeness and visible damage. ▶ Should you notice any transport damage, please contact your dealer immediately.
Disposal of Packaging Materials
The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The packaging materials are selected in environmentally friendly and disposal aspects and are recyclable.
Recycling of packaging materials saves raw materials and reduces waste. Dispose of unwanted packaging in accordance with local regulations.
NOTE
▶ If possible, keep the original packaging for the duration of the warranty period, so that the device can be properly packaged in the event of warranty claims.
Connection
WARNING
During installation, damages may occur!
▶ Have the unit installed by a specialized workshop, if possible. ▶ If installing the unit yourself, observe all installation and connection instructions for safe and trouble-free operation.
CAUTION
Wrong connections may damage the unit.
▶ Use the ISO connectors when installing the unit. If necessary, vehicle-specific ISO adapters are available at the specialized car accessories trade.

CAUTION
Use speakers with an impedance of at least 4 Ohm. The speaker cabling must be floating ground.
NOTE
For connecting the unit to two speakers, use only front speaker cables. Please observe that for the station memory, connector 4 must be connected to continuous positive. In some vehicle models, the standard configuration for connectors [4] and [7] (ISO A) is inverted. In this case, the station preset can get lost. To remedy this, invert these connections: 7 (ACC) and 4 (continuous positive).
Auto Antenna Power Supply A5 (ISO A)
CAUTION
Damage to the unit is possible!
Do not connect the terminal for antenna power to the power supply of the antenna. Max. load: 100 mA.
The terminal for antenna power is provided for a relay-controlled antenna. The relay automatically extends the antenna when the radio is turned on. The antenna retracts again when the radio is turned off. This terminal can also be used for an external amplifier. Please find details in the amplifier's manual.
Connect External Amplifier
Connect an external amplifier via LINE OUT. Please find details in the amplifier's manual.
Installation and Removal
The unit can be installed in any ISO installation slot. Please contact the car manufacturer or the local dealer if your vehicle does not come with an ISO slot.
NOTE
Before installation, remove the two transport securing screws. Connect all cables before mounting the unit. Ensure all connections are correct and the system works properly.
Important additional information for installation of your car radio!
- The set is designed for an installation where the negative pole of the battery must be connected to the vehicle chassis. Please check this before installation.
- Please note for installation/connection of your set that not every vehicle is equipped with an "ISO connection". In this case we recommend the use of a vehicle-specific ISO adapter. Adapters are available from car accessory sellers and/or your car workshop.
- The connection of "Continuous +" (continuous current connection) may differ depending on the vehicle type. (However, this is required for storing of the radio stations.)
In order to assure all functions, installation according to these instructions is necessary. In case of doubt, please contact an authorized car workshop.
Because of the different vehicle types and vehicle manufacturers, correct wiring of the ISO connector is no assured even when the ISO plug connectors fit mechanically. Thus it may be necessary to change the electric connection or to use a vehicle-specific adaptor.
i NOTE
In case of correct connection, the radio can be switched on and off with the ignition. In case of possible loss of stored radio stations, the radio is not provided with the "Continuous +" required for station storage.
△ CAUTION
In case of connection to "Continuous +" without ignition, an unnecessary load may be caused for the car battery even when the radio is switched off. In the worst case, this may lead to discharge of the car battery.
- Depending on the vehicle type, interferences may occur during operation of the radio. These can be eliminated with an additional noise filter. Your set is already equipped with a noise filter as standard. In spite of this, interferences may be caused depending on the vehicle.
Noise filters are available from car accessory sellers and/or your car workshop.
- When installing your radio, take care that there is sufficient free space at the rear of the radio to assure sufficient cooling.
- There are two different standards for the antenna connection. The first one is the old one (50 Ohm) with a long projecting round contact on the vehicle side and a round socket on the radio side. The second one is the ISO standard antenna plug (150 Ohm). Adapters for both formats are offered by car accessory sellers and/or your car workshop.
NOTE
To be strictly observed for VW/Audi: The antenna of your vehicle may be an active antenna. This requires a voltage supply only provided by the original car radios. If this should be the case, please use an antenna adapter for phantom feed. Antenna adapters are available from car accessory sellers and/or your car workshop.
Mounting Instruction
◆ The correct tools are self-explanatory for a car hifi installation. ◆ Insert the unit into the ISO slot or select a location where you can reach all controls and the unit is not in the driver's way. ◆ Connect only to a properly installed 12 V battery. ◆ Connect only via the ISO connectors. ◆ Install the unit in such a way that no overheating is possible and the unit is well ventilated. If the installation angle exceeds 30 degrees, the unit might not perform well. Avoid installing the unit where it is subjected to high temperature, such as from direct sunlight, hot air from the heating ducts, or where subjected to dust, dirt, or excessive vibration. ◆ Contact your car manufacturer or the local dealer if vehicle modifications are necessary.
Installation in ISO Slot
◆ Remove sleeve (D) and frame (B) from the unit. Use installation keys (C), if necessary. ◆ Place the sleeve in the ISO slot. ◆ Bend the claws outward with a screwdriver for perfect fit.
◆ Check the sleeve for tight fit. ◆ Connect the ISO female connectors of the unit with the two ISO male connectors of the vehicle. ◆ Connect the antenna to the antenna connector at the rear of the unit. ◆ Secure the unit against theft, if necessary. Attach bolt and mounting strip with the fastening materials at the firewall.
◆ Carefully slide the unit into the sleeve until it locks into place. ◆ Press RESET (30) with a pen or other pointed object after all connections are made. ◆ Attach the front panel (A) as described under "Attach Front Panel".
CAUTION
Cable damage possible!
▶ To avoid cable damage, observe the cables when sliding the unit into the sleeve.
◆ Attach the frame.
Remove Unit
◆ Follow these instructions to remove the unit: ◆ Remove the frame. ◆ Insert left and right installation keys in the slots left and right (the claws are now bent back). ◆ Slide the unit out of the sleeve.
NOTE
▶ Unevenness of the casing can cause the claws to lock. Unlock the claws with the installation keys, if necessary.
Toyota or Nissan Installation
NOTE
▶ Sleeve, frame and mounting strip are not needed.
Use the threads on the side of the casing (A) to mount the unit on the vehicle bracket (supplied with your car). The holes are marked with T (for Toyota) and N (for Nissan).
◆ Loosen the mounting screws for the hooks left and right at the front of the unit and remove the hooks. ◆ Mount the brackets (B) with screws on the unit (D).
Connect External Audio Device
◆ Connect line out of the external audio device to AUX IN (16) jack on the front panel. ◆ Select playback mode for external device by repeatedly pressing PAIR/MOD (4) until AUX is displayed.
Fit steering wheel mount for remote control
You can mount the remote control onto the inside of the steering wheel. Follow the steps below:

◆ Use a Philips head screwdriver to loosen the screws (4), in order to disassemble the steering wheel mount into the parts shown above (1-4). ◆ Place the rubber strap around the steering wheel. When doing so, select the corresponding pre-punched holes to fasten the mount securely to the steering wheel. ◆ Place the cover (3) over the mounting bracket (2). Then tighten the screws (4) again.
Insert battery into remote control
NOTE
▶ Before using the remote control for the first time, you must insert the supplied battery to make the remote control ready for use. The life of the supplied batteries may be shortened due to storage conditions.
◆ Open the battery compartment (17) of the remote control.
◆ Place the battery into the battery compartment with the positive pole at the top. ◆ Close the battery compartment again. ◆ Plug the remote control onto the mounting bracket cover until it clicks into place.

Start-up
To protect against theft remove the front panel. Do not keep the front panel in the car.
i NOTE
▶ Keep the front panel in its casing. ▶ Do not touch the contacts on the unit or on the front panel.
Attach Front Panel
◆ Set the control panel with the left-hand side first into the frame. - Then push the right-hand side in until it clicks into place. ◆ Flip the control panel up until it clicks into place.
◆ Ensure the front panel is attached properly. If the front panel is not attached properly this can cause malfunctions.
Detach Front Panel
◆ Press the release button (1) and flip the control panel down. - Then pull gently on the right-hand side of the control panel to detach the control panel.
Replace the remote control batteries
The battery of the remote control is a long life lithium cell. If the range of the remote control becomes shorter whilst in use, follow the steps below:
◆ Open the battery compartment (17) of the remote control. ◆ Replace the cell with a battery of the same type (CR 2025). Make sure that the polarity is correct. ◆ Close the battery compartment.
If the remote control is not in use for long periods, please remove the battery to prevent "leakage" of battery acid.
WARNING
Do not expose batteries to intense heat or direct sunlight. Never throw batteries into a fire. Risk of explosion!
△ CAUTION
Batteries should not be disposed of with household waste. Take spent batteries to designated collection points or to a dealer.
Operation
This chapter gives important operating instructions for the unit.
NOTE
Several buttons can be found on the unit as well as on the remote control. Identical buttons perform the same function. The buttons appearing in the following text are the buttons on the unit. The remote control signals are sent to the unit via infrared light. The transmission of the signals from the remote control to the unit may be impaired by direct sunlight on the IR sensor (6).
On/Off
◆ Press the button Ⓗ/ MUT (2) to switch on the set. The display is activated. ◆ Hold down the Ⓗ/ MUT (2) button to switch the unit off.
Settings
Volume
WARNING
Hearing damage due to high volume!
High volumes can permanently damage your hearing.
▶ Set a moderate volume.
◆ Press the ▲/▼ buttons (23) to adjust the volume.
Switch unit to mute
◆ Press the Ⓗ/ MUT (2) button to switch the unit to mute. MUTE flashes on the display. ◆ Press the Ⓗ/ MUT (2) button again to deactivate the function.
Sound Settings
◆ Press the SEL button (5). The current volume is displayed. Press the SEL button again to open the next setting.
The following settings are possible:
VOL - volume (0 to 100)
BAS - bass (-10 to +10)
TRB - treble (-10 to +10)
BAL - Balance (sound distribution between left and right speakers) (10L to 10R)
FAD - Fader (sound distribution between rear and front speakers) (10F to 10R)
◆ Press the ▲/▼ buttons (23) to change the displayed setting.
More settings via the SEL button
◆ Keep the SEL button (5) pressed for a few seconds to open more settings options. Press the SEL button again to open the next setting.
◆ Press the ▲/▼ buttons (23) to change the displayed setting.
The following settings are possible:
BEEP Key tone:
■ BEEP ON: The unit sounds a beep tone every time you press a button. ■ BEEP OFF: The unit sounds no beep tone.
P-VOL Adjusts the volume at which the unit should switch on.
AREA Region, when the unit is used.
Europe (EUR) or USA
i NOTE
▶ Changing this setting deletes all station presets.
HOUR Select the time display here.
24 hour (24 H) or 12 hour (12 H)
NOTE
▶ If 12 hours is selected, the display shows: AM = morning, PM = afternoon.
PCLK Select here if the time should be displayed when the unit is switched off.
Radio Reception Settings
◆ Keep the PTY button (17) pressed for several seconds to open more setting options. Press the PTY button again to open the next setting. ◆ Press the ▲/▼ buttons (23) to change the displayed setting.
The following settings are possible:
TA Traffic announcements
■ TA SEEK: With activated TA function the unit searches for a station with traffic announcements. ■ TA ALARM: No automatic station search. The unit sounds a beep tone if no traffic information is received and NO TP/TA is displayed. SEEK PI is displayed if the selected station does not transmit an RDS signal.
PI Moving into an area where two stations with identical AF, but different PI code (PI = program information) are received destabilizes reception. In this situation you have two options:
■ PI SOUND: To change stations the other station is played for less than one second. ■ PI MUTE: The other station is muted.
RETUNE Delay for automatic search with traffic announcements and/or program information:
■ S (Short) after approx. 30 seconds
■ L (Long) after approx. 90 seconds
MASK Setting to mask station during search:
■ DPI: Alternative frequencies with different PI code are excluded from the search. ■ ALL: Alternative frequencies with different PI code and no RDS information with high signal level are excluded from the search.
EON TA The unit can receive RDS EON data. EON means the transmission of additional programme information within a station group. In the event of a traffic announcement (TA), it will switch within a station group from a non-traffic broadcast to the corresponding traffic radio station of the station group.
■ DX: The unit attempts to receive the EON TA information from a receivable station and thus to improve the reception quality. ■ LO: This prevents switching to a programme with too weak a signal level.
TA VOL Traffic Announcement Volume
REG Some stations split their programme at certain times into regional programmes with different content.
■ ON: Only the regional programmes of the station are played. ■ OFF: National programmes are also played.
Loudness Function
◆ Press and hold 📞/ BND (26) to activate the Loudness function. LOUD ON is displayed. The Loudness function enhances the bass frequencies. ◆ Press and hold 📋/BND (26) again to deactivate the Loudness function. LOUD OFF is displayed.
Sound Settings
◆ Repeatedly press EQ/TA (19) to cycle through the settings FLAT, CLASSICS, POP M, ROCK M or DSP OFF. The selected setting is displayed.
Display Information
Repeatedly press DISP (20) to cycle through the following display information:
Time (is automatically set if RDS reception is enabled), radio station, programme type, frequency of the currently set radio station, information on file names (only during playback of a MP3 or WMA file).
NOTE
▶ If there is no corresponding information, PTY NONE is shown on the display. ▶ If the information is too long for the display, it is displayed as scrolling text.
Setting the time manually (in Radio Mode)
If the time should not be set automatically, proceed as follows:
◆ Press the DISP button (20) briefly until the time appears on the display. ◆ Keep the DISP button (20) pressed until the time flashes on the display. ◆ Use the ▶ button (23) to set the minutes. ◆ Use the ◀ button (23) to set the hours.
Reset Radio
To reset the unit to default settings, press RESET (30) with a pointed object, e.g., a pen.
Reset the unit when:
◆ using it for the first time after all cabling is done, ◆ malfunctions of buttons occur, ◆ error messages are displayed.
Radio Functions
Set RADIO Mode
◆ Repeatedly press PAIR/MOD (4) until frequency and band are displayed.
Select Frequency Band
◆ Press 📞/BND (26) to toggle between FM1, FM2, FM3, and AM. The selected frequency band is displayed.
Auto Search
◆ Press ▶ (23) or ◀ (23) to start auto search. SEARCH is displayed. Search stops if a station is found.
Manual Search
◆ Press and hold ▶ (23) or ◀ (23) until MANUAL is displayed. ◆ Press ▶ (23) or ◀ (23) to step through the FM frequency band in steps of 0.05 MHz and 9 kHz for AM until the desired frequency is displayed.
After two seconds of idling, the unit returns to auto search.
The display shows AUTO.
Save Station
For each frequency band, 6 station presets are available.
Press and hold the desired numeric button (8) for approximately 2 seconds to save the current station. A beep can be heard after successful storage (except when BEEP is set to OFF).
Access Saved Station
Press 📞/BND (26) to select the desired frequency band. Press one of the numeric buttons (8) to access the respective station.
Auto Save
Press 📞/BND (26) to select the desired frequency band.
Press and hold */+ / AS/PS (21). SEARCH is displayed. The unit starts automatic search. When a station is found (by the scan function), it will be played for a few seconds before the scan of the next station. The respective preset flashes. Press one of the numeric buttons (8) to access the respective station.
Cycle Through Saved Stations
Press */+ / AS/PS (21). All stations are briefly played in sequence. Press */+ / AS/PS (21) again when the desired station comes up. This station stays tuned in.
Alternative Frequencies (AF)
AF is an RDS (Radio Data System) function and is only available for FM stations. The unit searches in the background for the best frequency for the selected station.
◆ Press the AF/MON button (22) to turn this function on or off.
AF is displayed: Function is activated and RDS information is received.
AF flashes: No RDS information is received.
AF is not displayed: Function is deactivated.
Program Type (PTY)
Some FM stations transmit besides the station name also the program type.
You can search for stations with certain genres.
◆ Press the button PTY (17). ◆ Select the desired PTY code by pressing the ▲/▼ buttons (23). The PTY genre is displayed.
Such program types may be for example:
SPORT NEWS POP M CLASSICS
After selecting a PTY code press the ▶ button (23). PTY SEEK is shown on the display. The unit searches for stations which correspond to the set PTY code and stops if a corresponding station has been found. If no station with the respective PTY genre is found, PTY NONE is displayed. The PTY function is deactivated if the selected PTY genre is no longer received. Or press the button PTY (17) to end the function early.
Traffic Announcement (TA)
◆ Hold down the EQ/TA (19) button to switch this mode on or off. TA is displayed with activated mode. In the TA mode, switching from any other operation mode is done immediately to a radio station sending traffic announcements at that time. TRAFFIC is shown on the display. The volume level is adjusted to the value set in the menu for the transmission of traffic information. ◆ Briefly hold down the EQ/TA (19) button during playback of traffic radio to interrupt the TA function without switching the function off.
General CD Functions
Anti-shock Function (ESP - Electric Shock Protection)
The unit is equipped with an anti-shock function. This function compensates for bumps on uneven streets and ensures uninterrupted playback.
Insert and Remove CD
◆ Press the release button (1) to flip down the control panel. ◆ Insert the CD with the label up into the CD drive. Flip the control panel back up. The display shows CDP PLAY. CD playback starts. ◆ To eject the CD, press the ▲ (28) button when the control panel is flipped down. The CD is ejected. The unit switches to Radio mode. ◆ Remove the CD from the drive. The CD will be retracted again after 10 seconds if it is not removed from the slot; in this case playback does not start automatically.
NOTE
▶ Please note: A large variety of burner and compression software is on the market; there are differences in quality between CDs and home-burnt CDs. Furthermore, the music industry does not have fixed standards (copy protection). For this reason it can happen that in exceptional cases play-back problems for CDs and MP3/WMA CDs occur. This is not a malfunction of this unit.
Select CD Mode (with CD inserted)
◆ Repeatedly press PAIR/MOD (4) until CDP PLAY is displayed.
Skip Mode
◆ Press ▶ (23) or ◀ (23) to skip to the next or previous track. The title number and the elapsed playing time are shown on the display.
Fast Forward/Rewind
◆ Press and hold ▶ (23) or ◀ (23) to start fast forward or rewind function.
Pause
◆ Press PAU (9) to pause playback. S-PAUSE is shown on the display. ◆ Press PAU (9) again to resume playback.
Repeat Mode
◆ Press RPT (11) to repeat the current title. S-RPT and the current title are displayed. Press again to return to normal playback mode. Only for MP3 files and CDs in MP3 Format: Keep the RPT button (11) briefly pressed to repeat the current folder. D-RPT and the current title are shown. Press the button to restore normal playback.
Intro
Press SCN (10). The display shows S-SCAN. All tracks are played for 10 seconds in sequence. Press again to return to normal playback mode. Only for MP3 files and CDs in MP3 Format: Keep the SCN button (11) briefly pressed. All titles in the current folder are played in sequence for around 10 seconds. D-SCAN and the current title are shown on the display. Press the button to restore normal playback.
Random Playback
Press SHF (14). S-SHF and the current title are shown on the display. All tracks are played in random order. Press again to return to normal playback mode. Only for MP3 files and CDs in MP3 Format: Keep the SHF button (14) briefly pressed. A random playback of all titles of the current folder starts. D-SCAN and the current title are shown on the display. Press the button to restore normal playback.
Additional Functions MP3/WMA CDs
Skip Album
Press DIR - (13) or DIR + (12) to skip to the next or previous album. Playback starts automatically with the first track of the selected album.

Press */+ / AS/PS (21). Press the ▲/▼ buttons (23) until the desired title number is shown on the display. Press SEL (5) to confirm. The selected track is played.
File and Album Name Search
Press */+ / AS/PS (21) twice. Press the ▲/▼ buttons (23), until the desired symbol is shown on the display and confirm the setting by pressing the SEL button (5). Repeat this step until the desired characters are entered. Press 📞/ BND (26) to confirm. All tracks starting with the entered characters are displayed. Select the desired title by pressing the ▲/▼ button (23). Use the ▲/ND button to start playback (26).
Directory Search
Press */+ / AS/PS (21) three times. Press the ▲/▼ buttons (23) to select the desired directory. (ROOT = main directory) Confirm your selection by pressing the SEL button (5). Now select the desired title in the selected folder. Make your selection by pressing the ▲ buttons. Confirm your selection by pressing SEL. The title is searched and played.
USB Port
NOTE
The large variety of USB devices on the market prevents us from guaranteeing full compatibility with all USB devices. For this reason it can happen that in exceptional cases playback problems for USB media occur. This is not a malfunction of this unit. ▶ Please note: The USB port serves only for playback of memory media and not for charging of other external devices (like e.g. Smartphones). Only a low-power (100 mA) power supply can be assured. This USB port is not designed for use for example with external 2.5" hard disks, which may show start-up currents of up to 1100 mA. Use the provided AUX-IN jack for playback of music with your Smartphone, iPod, or iPhone respectively. Unless a music reproduction via Bluetooth is not supported.
Connect Media
◆ Open the protective cover of the USB port. ◆ Connect your USB device. The unit detects MP3 or WMA files on the media and USB PLAY is displayed. Playback starts automatically. ◆ To avoid dirt replace the protective cover if no USB device is connected.
Playback and Search Function
◆ Operation for file playback from external media device as well as the search function is similar to MP3 CDs. ◆ Repeatedly press PAIR/MOD (4) to select USB mode.
Card Reader (SD/MMC)
NOTE
The large variety of memory cards on the market prevent us from guaranteeing full compatibility with all memory cards. For this reason it can happen that in exceptional cases playback problems for memory cards occur. This is not a malfunction of this unit.
Connect Media
◆ Remove the control panel (see Page 85). ◆ Insert a memory card with the label pointing up into the card slot until it locks with a click. Insert the control panel again (see Page 85). The display shows SD PLAY. Playback of MP3 or WMA tracks on the memory cards starts automatically.
Removal of the storage medium
◆ Press the end of the memory card to remove it.

◆ Operation for file playback from external media device as well as the search function is similar to MP3 CDs. ◆ Repeatedly press PAIR/MOD (4) to select card mode.
Phoning via Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a technology for wireless radio connection of devices over short distances. Bluetooth technology enables hands-free use of mobile phones. The driver can hold a conversation via his mobile phone without having to hold it to his ear.
This unit offers you the option of using a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone. The function radius is limited to around 3 metres depending on the device.
For optimum sound quality during a telephone call, do not set the volume too high. Doing so may lead to feedback (whistling) from the speakers.
NOTE
The speaker setting depends on the installation positions of the speaker to the microphone and therefore cannot be specified.
Registering of devices (PAIRING)
Before you can make a call via the car radio, you must pair the devices.
◆ Keep the PAIR/MOD button (4) pressed until PAIRING appears on the display. ◆ Select the Bluetooth menu in your mobile phone and register the car radio in your mobile telephone. Refer to the user manual of your mobile phone. The unit "CarBT" appears as the selection in your mobile phone. Now enter the password "0000" in your mobile phone according to the device manufacturer, model and software. If the registration has been carried out successfully, PAIR OK and CONN OK appear on the display of your car radio. The symbol "⚙" is shown on the display (7). The car radio automatically switches to the BT AUDIO mode.
NOTE
▶ If the registration has not been successfully carried out, "NOT PAIR" appears on the car radio display. ▶ According to the mobile phone manufacturer, you must carry out the registration (PAIRING) again to register your mobile phone in the car radio. ▶ Bluetooth compatibility cannot be guaranteed for future models of mobile phone. ▶ To guarantee an optimum connection, check that the battery on your mobile phone is fully charged. ▶ Some makes of mobile phones have a power saving mode. Please deactivate power saving mode since otherwise there may be problems when phoning via Bluetooth. ▶ To be able to conduct an incoming or outgoing conversation, Bluetooth must remain activated on your mobile phone. Please refer to the user manual for your mobile phone.
NOTE
▶ Please ensure that you speak towards the integrated microphone (24). An external microphone cannot be connected.
Disconnect devices (#/SCAN/CON button (18))
- The devices are connected if you switch off the car radio via the ignition or on the unit.
- Keep the #/SCAN/CON button (18) pressed to disconnect the devices as well. DISCONN is shown on the display (7).
Reconnect devices (#/SCAN/CON button (18))
This unit supports automatic reconnection.
The requirements are:
- The devices have already been registered.
- Bluetooth is activated on your mobile phone.
- Your mobile phone supports this function.
After the car radio has been switched off and on again via the ignition or on the unit, the automatic reconnection is activated. This may take a few seconds. CONN TRY is shown on the display (7).
If the connection has been restored, CONN OK appears on the display.
NOTE
▶ Alternatively, you can also briefly keep the #/SCAN/CON button (18) pressed. CONN TRY is shown on the display (7) as well.
Phone menu settings
This menu can only be opened if a device has been successfully connected to the car radio.
◆ Press the T-MENU button (25). ◆ Press the T-MENU button again to open the next setting item. ◆ Press the ▲/▼ buttons (23) to change the displayed setting.
The following settings are available:
PRE NUM Here you have access to the 10 saved speed dial numbers. To allocate a speed dial number, follow the steps below:
◆ Use the ▲/▼ buttons (23) to select a memory location (0-9).
NOTE
▶ If a memory location is empty, EMPTY is shown on the display. If a memory location is already occupied, the stored phone number is displayed.
◆ Confirm your selection with the SEL button (5). DIAL → shown on the display. ◆ Enter with the help of the numeric buttons the desired phone number. ◆ Save the phone number by pressing the SEL button. SAVE OK is shown on the display.
NOTE
▶ If you have entered one or more numbers incorrectly, you can delete the numbers using the 📞/ BND button (26). Press briefly: The numbers are deleted individually. Keep pressed: All entered numbers are deleted. ▶ The saved speed dials are lost if the car radio has been reset using the RESET button (30).

MISSED Here you can display missed calls.

ANS / AUTO ■ MANU ANS: To accept a call you must press the ↗ button (3). ANS ■ AUTO ANS: The car radio accepts the call without having to press the button.

◆ Use the 📞/BND button (26) to end outgoing or incoming calls. CALL END is shown on the display.

Outgoing calls
◆ Press the ↗ button (3). DIAL → shown on the display. ◆ The phone number is entered using the numeric buttons. The entered phone number is shown on the display of the car radio.

Redial
The unit saves the last dialed number. To retrieve this, follow the steps below:
◆ Press the ↗ button twice (3). LAST NUM and then the last selected phone number is shown on the display. ◆ Press the ↗ button (3) again to call the phone number.
Incoming calls
When there are incoming calls, a ring tone sounds from the speakers and if the caller has a CLIP "Calling Line Identification Presentation (Caller ID)" enabled phone, the caller number appears on the car radio display. Otherwise "RINGING" appears on the display.
◆ To be able to answer an incoming call, press the button (3). You can listen to the caller through via the speakers in your car.
Transfer call between car radio and mobile phone You can transfer a call again to your mobile phone.
◆ To do so, keep the T-MENU button (25) pressed. TRANSFER is shown on the display (7). The car radio activates the MUTE mode. Keep this button down again pressed to transfer the call to the car radio.
Music reproduction via A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)
This involves a cross-manufacturer Bluetooth profile. Stereo audio signals are transferred wirelessly between the playback unit (source) and receiver unit. To be able to remote control the source, the playback unit must support the AVRCP profile (Audio Video Remote Control Profile).
Full functionality cannot be guaranteed due to different unit manufacturers, model and software versions.
◆ After you have connected the devices to each other, you can start music reproduction using the PAU button (9). You must start music reproduction beforehand on your mobile phone, depending on the device manufacturer, model and software versions. ◆ Use the ▶/◀ buttons (23) to select the next or previous music title.
