Frequently Asked Questions - TS808 TOSHIBA

How to insert the SIM card and battery?
Open the battery compartment cover, remove the battery if present. Insert the SIM card, circuit side down, keeping it straight. Replace the battery aligning the contacts, then close the cover. Make sure the phone is off before handling.
How to charge the battery?
Use the supplied power adapter: plug the connector into the phone, then the plug into a wall outlet. The charging indicator lights up. Unplug when the indicator turns off. You can also charge via USB by connecting the phone to a computer and selecting 'Charge battery' in USB options.
How to take a photo with the camera?
From the main menu, select 'Photos & Video', then 'Take photo'. You can use the side key or the centre key as shutter. Photos are stored in 'My documents'. See the Camera section for settings.
How to transfer music from a PC?
Insert a memory card into the phone. Connect the phone to the PC via USB cable, then select 'Music transfer' (or 'Transfer mode') in USB options. Copy music files to the memory card in the appropriate folder. You can also use Windows Media Player to synchronize.
How to use Bluetooth?
Enable Bluetooth from 'Settings' > 'Connectivity' > 'Bluetooth'. Make the phone visible to other devices, then search and pair with the desired device. You can then transfer files, use a Bluetooth headset, or synchronize contacts.
How to make a video call?
Dial the number, then before pressing the call key, select 'Video call' in options (or from contacts, choose 'Video call'). Note that video calling requires 3G network coverage and your correspondent must also support it.
How to set up the answering machine?
Go to 'Settings' > 'Calls' > 'Answer machine'. Activate the service, set the answering center number (provided by your operator), then configure forwarding conditions (if busy, no answer, etc.). You can listen to messages by long pressing key 1 in standby.
What to do if PIN code is lost?
If you enter an incorrect PIN three times, the SIM card is blocked. You must then enter the PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) provided by your operator. Contact your service provider for the PUK. Do not attempt to guess, as after 10 attempts the SIM card is permanently blocked.
How to make an emergency call?
Even without a SIM card, you can dial 112 or 911 (US) and press the call key. Ensure network is available. Note that in GSM zone, emergency calls are not possible during data communication. In UMTS-only or GSM-only network mode, if the selected network is unavailable, change network mode.
How to clean the phone?
Use a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Never use chemicals, detergents, or solvents. Avoid humidity, dust, and high temperatures. Do not paint the phone. For battery maintenance, clean the contacts with a dry cloth if necessary.
