nderstand Your Phone

etting Started
isert SIM Card and Memory Card
ur A315 is a dual-SIM phone that supports a regular SIM, a cro SIM and one SD card. Switch off your phone before V/SD card Insertion. Insert the SIM/SD card in the slots as strated in the following figure:

Insert Standard SIM (SIM 1): Press your finger on the lower portion of the SIM 1 cover. Open the cover and place the SIM into the SIM slot, and close the cover.
Insert Micro SIM (SIM 2): Press the pointed tip of the metallic gear (comes inside your gift box) into the SIM 2 tray hole. Pull out the SIM 2 tray, place the micro SIM into the SIM tray and press the SIM tray into the slot as illustrated in the above image.
Insert SD Card: Press the pointed tip of the metallic gear into the micro SIM tray hole. Place the SD card into the slot, as illustrated in the above image.

You can insert both the Micro SIM and the SD car via the same tray. However, the slots for both are different within the same tray (refer figure above).
The handset supports one Micro SIM card and a Standard SIM card. Using incorrect sized SIM cards may damage your handset.
In case you intend to use a micro SIM, we advise you to go to an authorized network provider.
The handset's battery cannot be detached. To replace the battery, please contact a Micromax authorized Customer Service Center.
Use only compatible memory cards approved by Micromax with this device. Incompatible memory cards may damage the card or the device and corrupt the data stored in the card.

To restart your phone, long press the Power key and select Reboot.

narging the Battery
fore using the device for the first time, you must charge the ttery. You can charge the device with a travel adapter or nnecting the device to a PC with a USB cable.

You can also use a compatible USB charger to charge your battery.
Use only Micromax approved chargers and cables. Unapproved chargers or cables can cause battery to explode or damage your device.
We suggest you charge the battery for 4 hours continuously for the first time.

ur Google™ Account lets you take full advantage of plications and services offered by Google™ Android market. nfigure your Google™ account on this handset to get access to ur Google™ mails, Google™ Play Store, Google™ Maps, and such more.

Network connection will be required for the Google ^™ account setup step to appear.

If you do not have an existing Google™ account, you may create one from the account configuring step.

You may add various other accounts, depending on your applications.

u can personalize your home screen with shortcuts, widgets, llpapers and other items. To view quick options to change llpaper, add widgets, or open settings section, tap the → key. u can add extensions to the home screen by placing widgets or plication shortcuts on the extended home screen. Your A315 I show only those extended home screens which have some ortcut/widget placed on them. Swipe left or right on the home een to view the next extended home screen.

Face Recognition

Allowing you to keep your face as screen unlocking password. You just need to look at your phone to unlock it.
Voice Recognition

Speak your password to unlock!
Allowing you to provide your voice as the screen unlocking password. You need to speak something for the phone to recognize your voice and unlock the screen.
PIN

Enter your PIN to unlock your phone!
You may enter a PIN and set it as your screen unlocking password.
Pattern

Set and draw your desired pattern!
You can set your own pattern by connecting the dots to prevent your phone from unauthorized access.
Password

Enter your password to unlock!
You may enter any desired password and set it as your screen unlocking password.

Just wake up the screen and slide the lock icon towards the unlock icon to unlock your phone.

To synchronize contacts, you need to have Internet connectivity via your SIM or Wi-Fi. If your Sync does not proceed as expected, check whether data option is set to ON.

ur handset supports video calling using which you can talk face face with your friends via real time video streaming. You need fulfill the following conditions for video calling:
- You need to enable 3G on your SIM card. Please contact your service provider to enable 3G on your SIM card.
- The video call recipient also needs to have a 3G enabled SIM card.
make a video call, open the contact details of the call recipient in the contacts list and then tap 📄 to make a video call or be a number on the dialer, tap the 📋 icon and then select video Call.

- Connect your phone with your PC/Laptop via USB cable.
- Select the USB tethering option.
- Select your phone network as the network connection in your PC/laptop and get access to the Internet.

- Pair your phone with the BT enabled PC/laptop via BT pairing option.
- Select the BT tethering option in your phone.
- On the paired PC/laptop, select the BT device (your phone) and choose to connect to the Internet.

- Turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot option in your phone.
- On the other Wi-Fi enabled PC/laptop/handset, choose your phone as a Wi-Fi network to connect with it.

pair your A315 with some other BT device:
- If BT is off, turn it on and then tap BT. Your phone scans and displays the BT devices in range.
- Tap the ID of the other device in the list to pair with it.
- You will be prompted to confirm passkey on both devices. Tap Pair to confirm the passkey and pair the devices. On successful pairing, your phone connects to the device.

If the device you want to pair with is not in the list, make it discoverable and then search. If your phone stops scanning before you make the other device discoverable, tap SEARCH FOR DEVICES.

Tap Micromax A315 at the top of the scanned device list to make your A315 visible on other devices.

u can check and reply to your emails from your A315 from ywhere and anytime. Apart from the Gmail account, you can nfigure other accounts too on this device.

- Provide your account name and your name and then tap Next to successfully finish account configuration.

The mains voltage (V) specified on the power supply unit must not be exceeded to prevent damage to the charger device. The power supply must be plugged into an easily accessible AC power socket when charging the battery.

You may only open the phone to replace the battery, SII and micro SD card. You must not open the battery under any circumstances. All other changes to this device are strictly

- Please put the battery in a cool and well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight. We recommend you to charge the battery at room temperature range.
- Batteries have life cycles. If the time that the battery powers equipment becomes much shorter than usual, the battery life is at an end. Replace the battery with a new battery of the same make and specification.
