The BOSCH AFS 23-37 brush cutter has two interchangeable cutting heads: a line spool and a blade. Here’s how to remove the head with the line to install the blade:
Removing the head with the line
- 1. Stop and unplug the device - Make sure the brush cutter is turned off and unplugged before any intervention.
- 2. Place the device stable - Set it on a flat and stable surface for safe work.
- 3. Unscrew the nut - Use the provided wrench to unscrew the nut that holds the line spool on the shaft.
- 4. Remove the spool - Once the nut is removed, gently pull the cutting head with the line to detach it from the shaft.
Installing the blade
Once the head with the line is removed, you can install the blade:
- 1. Position the blade - Place the blade on the shaft, then add the ring and the washer.
- 2. Tighten the nut - Tighten the blade nut with a torque of 20 Nm.
- 3. Lock the shaft - Use the provided locking rod to lock the shaft and prevent rotation.
- 4. Wear gloves - Remember to wear protective gloves during this handling.
The two heads (line and blade) are perfectly interchangeable, you can change them as often as necessary according to your cutting needs.
