4. ASSEMBLING THE MACHINE

Assembly of the blower tube (Pic. 3 & Pic. 4)

Before attaching the blower tube (1), (2) ensure that the speed control switch (4) is in position „0“, i.e. turned off.
Place the blower tube on to the body of the garden blower (see pic. 3). Check that it is correctly seated.

⚠️ CAUTION! Do not operate or block the On/Off switch for any other purpose than for standard assembly or removal of the tube

Note: Before removing the blower tube ensure that the speed control switch (4) is in position „0“, i.e. turned off. Press the tube release button (3) so that you can detach the tube (see pic. 1). Lift up the bottom extension tube (1) so that it is possible to detach from the blower tube (see pic. 4). Do not attempt to detach the tube by force or by using other tools.

5. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before you start working with the garden blower, read the following safety instructions and user's manual.

⚠️ CAUTION! To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury:
- Do not leave the product without supervision when it is turned on. Disconnect the product from the power socket if you are not using it or if you plan on repairing it.

⚠️ CAUTION! To reduce the risk of electric shock – Do not use in damp locations. Do not expose to rain. Store indoors.

Do not allow the product to be used as a toy. Pay extra attention if the product is near children.
Work only according to the supplied user's manual. Use manufacturer approved spare parts.
Do not use if the power cord is damaged. If the product is not working as it should, or it is damaged, or it has fallen into water, have it repaired at a specialised service centre.
Do not place the power cord near hot surfaces or over sharp objects. Do not place heavy objects on the power cord. Position the cord so that it will not be stepped on or tripped over.
Do not disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet by pulling the power cord.
Never hold the power plug or the product with wet hands.

Do not place any items into the tube opening. Keep the product free of dust, fibres and hair or other items, which could reduce air flow.
Secure loose clothing, long hair, fingers and other parts of the body so that they do not get caught in the moving parts of the machine.
Turn off all control elements before disconnecting the product.
Be especially careful when cleaning stairs.
Do not use it to lift any items or in the vicinity of flammable fluids, such as oil, petrol, etc.
* Always turn off the product before attaching or detaching the tube.
* Only charge the battery using the original charger supplied with this product.
Only charge in a charger specified by the manufacturer. In the event that a different battery type is used than for which the charger is designed, there is a fire hazard.
Use electrical devices in accordance with the specified batteries. The use of different batteries may lead to a risk of injury and a fire hazard.
If you are not using the battery, keep it away from metal items, e.g. paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small items, which could lead to a short circuit. A short circuit of the battery may cause serious burns or a fire.
If stored incorrectly there is a risk of electrolyte leaking out of the battery. If electrolyte leaks out, limit skin contact. If contact does occur, immediately thoroughly flush the affected location with water and seek medical help. The electrolyte my cause serious skin injuries or burns.
Before putting this machine into operation it is important that you read the following instructions very carefully and understand them.
* Never allow children to work with the product.
Do not use the blower if you are in the close vicinity of other people, children or freely moving household pets.
Do not use the product for purposes other than those for which it was designed.
Before starting work, carefully inspect the work area. Remove all dangerous items such as rocks, rods, wires, bones and other foreign objects.

6. INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORRECT USE

CAUTION! The charger and the battery are designed to work together, so please do not use them on other products. Never insert metal objects into the charger or the battery as this may lead to a malfunction or risk of electric shock.

Operation

Do not touch machine parts until they have come to a complete stop. Rotating parts of the machine may still be rotating and cause injuries.
If the machine starts to vibrate abnormally, stop the motor and immediately try to identify the cause. Vibrations are generally the cause of malfunctions.

Before performing any checks, maintenance or repairs, turn off the motor and wait until rotating machine parts come to a complete stop.
* Work only during good visibility conditions or ensure sufficient artificial lighting.
Never use the product if you have wet hands or feet or without proper footwear. Do not bend over, and under all circumstances maintain good balance. Maintain a stable stance when working on slopes. When working with the machine, walk and never run.
When operating the machine do not use the blower tube near eyes or ears.
Do not cross gravel roads while the machine is running.
Do not place any items into the openings and on to moving parts of the machine.
* Prior to detaching the blower tube, check that the machine is off and the battery is removed.
* Avoid dangerous situations. Do not use in damp and wet locations.
Do not use when it is raining.
* Keep children and other people at a sufficient distance from the working area.
Secure loose clothing, long hair or jewellery so that they cannot get caught by the moving parts of the machine. We recommend the use of protective gloves and solid footwear when using the machine.
Use the correct type of tool. Do not use the product for purposes other than those intended.
Do not use excessive force during operation.
Do not overload the machine. When operating the machine be very careful, maintain your balance and stable stance.
Do not use the machine if your are tired, under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
In the event that you are not using the machine, store it indoors. Store the machine in a dry, safe location, away from children.

Purpose of use

The machine is suitable for blowing dry leaves in private gardens. Any other use that is not explicitly approved in these instructions, may cause damage to the machine and presents a serious hazard to the user. Do not use the machine in locations with a high degree of health risks (dirt/dust) or as a device for wet blowing / vacuuming. The machine may only be used by adults. Persons over the age of 16 may only use the machine when supervised. Use of the machine in the rain or in a wet environment is forbidden. The manufacturer takes no responsibility for damages cause by improper or incorrect operation.

The garden blower is suitable for use in private gardens. Use the garden blower outdoors to remove dirt and leaves from paved surfaces. This machine is not intended for clearing leaves from large grass-covered areas or for moving wet or heavy materials.

Use the right kind of tool

This user's manual describes the designated use of tools. Do not overload small tools or accessories for work, where high performance tools are necessary. The tool will work better and more safely on work for which it is designed. When using any accessories or additions

or when performing any kind of work, which is not recommended by this user's manual, there may be a risk of injury to persons. Do not overload the tool.

* Prevent the situation where the tool is turned on accidentally. Do not carry the tool with the finger on the main switch.
Never pull on the power cord when disconnecting the power plug from the power socket. Do not lead the power cord over greasy and hot surfaces and make sure that it does not go over sharp edges.

Before first use of the machine

Fully charge the machine before first use.

The supplied charger is compatible with the Li-ion battery installed in the garden blower.

Do not use a different battery charger than the one supplied.

Charging the battery

The Li-Ion battery is protected against full discharge. When the battery is flat, the machine will turn itself off by means of a protective circuit: the motor stops rotating.

In a hot environment or in the event of intensive use the battery may heat up to such a degree that it will be necessary to allow the battery to cool down before charging again.

Removing or installing the battery (pic. 5)

Before removing or installing the battery ensure that the speed control switch (4) is in position „O“, i.e. turned off.
If you wish to remove the battery, press the release button (7) downwards and pull the battery out.
If you wish to install the battery, insert it into the groove along the handle and slide the battery into its initial position until the release button (7) clicks back into position.

Starting (pic. 6)

Move the speed control switch (4) to position „1“ or position „2“, i.e. turned on.

„1“ is a slow speed and „2“ is a faster speed.

Stopping (pic. 6)

Move the speed control switch (4) "O", i.e. turned off.

Tips for the user

When using the machine, hold the blower tube approximately 15cm above the ground. Blow using a side to side swinging motion. Proceed slowly and blow gathered dirt / leaves away from your body.

CAUTION!

Blow garden waste / leaves on to a pile, which can then easily be disposed of.
Do not use the blower to blow hard items such as nails, screws or stones.
Do use the blower pointing in the direction of standing people or household pets.
Be especially careful when cleaning dirt from stairs and other narrow places.
Use protective glasses or other suitable eye protection, long pants and shoes.

The machine

Do not charge the machine in damp or wet locations.
Do not expose the battery to dampness or rain.
Remove or disconnect the battery before performing maintenance, cleaning or when removing material from the machine.
Do not throw the battery into a fire. There is a danger of explosion. Ask your respective local authorities or collection facility for more details about battery disposal.
Never open or damage the battery. The released electrolyte contains acid, which may cause eye and skin damage. The acid is highly toxic.
When handling and storing the battery, ensure that it is not short circuited by conductive materials such as rings, keys, coins. This creates the risk of the battery overheating, which could lead to a fire.
Only charge the battery using the original charger supplied with this product.
Inspect damaged parts. Damaged or worn parts need to be replaced. Damaged parts of the machine may only be replaced by an expert using original spare parts. Contact an authorised service centre for repairs.
Use only original spare parts.

Battery

Never open the battery. The released electrolyte contains acid, which may cause eye and skin damage. The acid is highly toxic.
Under extreme conditions there is a risk of the electrolyte leaking out of the battery. If the electrolyte leaks out, proceed as follows:

  • Carefully wipe away the electrolyte with a dry cloth. Avoid contact with skin.
  • If contact with skin or eyes does occur, proceed according to the instructions below.
  • The battery contains a 25-30% potassium hydroxide solution, which may be harmful. If contact with the skin occurs immediately wash with large amounts of water. Neutralise with a mild acid such as lemon juice, vinegar. When eyes are affected, thoroughly rinse with water (for at least 10 minutes) and seek medical help.

Do not expose the battery to the effects of water.
Do not store in locations, where the temperature could exceed 40° C.
Charge at a room temperature between 18-24°C. Never charge at a temperature below 4°C or above 40°C.

* Only charge the battery using the original charger supplied with this product.
Before charging check that the battery is dry and clean.
* Only use the correct battery type.

Before first use or when you have not used the garden blower for a long time, it is necessary to fully charge the battery, otherwise its lifespan will be reduced. The battery heats up slightly when charging, this is a normal event and does not indicate a problem.

Place the battery into the charger. The LED indicator light is red, indicating that the battery is charging.

The LED indicator light is green, indicating that the battery is fully charged. The battery is fully charged after approximately 4 hours.
* Disconnect the charger from the power socket. Remove the battery from the charger.

Important instructions for charging

During normal use the battery charges in approximately 4 hours. Allow the battery to cool down before charging it.

Note: The battery will not be charged if it is hot.

Do not charge the battery at temperatures under 4°C or above 40°C. Not adhering to this may lead to serious damage of the battery. A long lifespan and better performance will be achieved if the battery is charged at a temperature of approximately 24°C.
The charger and the battery heat up slightly during the charging process. This is a normal event, it is not a malfunction.

  • check that the plug and connector are plugged in properly.

To maintain a longer battery lifetime, do not leave the battery uncharged for a longer period of time (longer than 30 days). Despite the fact that excessive charging does not present a safety risk, it may lead to a significant decline in the overall lifespan of the battery.
The battery achieves optimal performance within 5 charge cycles of normal operation. Before recharging the battery it is necessary to allow the battery to fully discharge. Standard use is the best method for discharging/charging the battery.

8. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

* Ensure that all nuts and bolts are firmly tightened and the machine is in a safe operating condition.
Do not wash the product with a pressure hose as this will prevent water entering the motor and the electrical components.

⚠️ CAUTION! Store the garden blower in a safe location that is out of reach of children and household pets. If you will be storing the machine for longer than 30 days, proceed according to the following instructions:

Take the battery out of the machine.
* Fully charge the battery. (note: The charging time for a fully charged battery is four hours)
When the battery is fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
