Frequently Asked Questions - DAB147 MOULINEX

How do I clean the MOULINEX DAB147 immersion blender?
The mixing bowl and accessories (mini chopper, grater, grinder, filter) are dishwasher safe. The motor unit must be cleaned with a damp cloth and dried thoroughly; never immerse it in water. Use the AutoClean function for easy cleaning of the blades and bowl: pour warm soapy water, give a few pulses in AutoClean mode, then rinse.
Can I blend hot or boiling liquids?
No, never pour boiling liquids into the mixing bowl. Wait for them to cool before blending. Thermal shock could damage the bowl and blades.
What should I do if the appliance does not start?
Check that the plug is connected and the voltage matches. Ensure the bowl or accessory is correctly positioned on the motor unit and the lid is properly locked (turn clockwise). If the problem persists, contact an authorized MOULINEX service center.
How do I use the filter (K)?
Place the filter in the mixing bowl aligning the slots with the internal ribs. Secure it with the pouring lid. Introduce food or liquids into the filter through the measuring cap opening, then close. Blend at speed 1 or in Pulse mode. The filter retains seeds and skins, ideal for making soy milk, sauces, or fruit juices.
Can I blend dry foods without liquid?
No, never run the mixing bowl empty or with dry products only. Always add some liquid to avoid damaging the blades. For accessories (mini chopper, grinder), they can process dry foods in small quantities (max 80 g).
Are the blender blades removable?
The blades are not removable for safety reasons. They are integrated into the bowl or accessory. Clean them carefully with a brush or using the AutoClean function.
How do I use the Pulse function?
The Pulse button (C) allows blending in short bursts. Press briefly to control the texture of food. Ideal for chopping onions or herbs without turning them into a purée. Release to stop.
What is the maximum bowl capacity for thick preparations?
For thick preparations, do not exceed 1.5 liters. For very liquid preparations, the maximum capacity is 1.25 liters to avoid overflowing.
Can I grate cheese with the blender?
Yes, use the grater accessory (I) to grate hard cheeses like Parmesan, coconut, or nutmeg. Cut food into cubes before placing in the bowl (max capacity 80 g). Lock the safety cover (L) before blending.
What to do in case of excessive vibrations?
Place the appliance on a flat, clean surface. Check that the bowl or accessory is correctly positioned on the motor unit. If vibrations persist, reduce the amount of food or cut it into smaller pieces.
