3. SAFETY WARNINGS
Before switching the appliance on, read these instructions carefully and keep them for future consultation.
Make sure that the domestic network power coincides with what is recommended for the appliance.
- If the appliance should break down or not work correctly, switch it off and do not try and fix it. In the event of requiring repairs, only go to a Technical Assistance Service authorised by the manufacturer and request that original spares are used.
Periodically check the condition of the base cable and the connection plug to see if they are damaged. Do not switch on an appliance with a damaged base, or after the appliance has been damaged in any way. - In the event that the base is damaged, it must be substituted by the manufacturer, by an authorised Technical Assistance Service or by qualified personnel to avoid risks.
- In order to avoid risks of electrical shocks, do not submerge the base or the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Keep all the electrical connections clean and dry.
- Remove the appliance from the base or disconnect it when it is not being used or before cleaning it.
- The appliance is only to be used domestically. Any other use could be dangerous.
- Do not place the kettle on or close to a gas or electric burner, in a hot oven, in a microwave oven or on any other type of appliance.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst it is operating and keep it out of reach of children.
People with nervous system disorders must not use the appliance unaccompanied in order to avoid any possible danger. - Do not use unauthorised connections, as they can cause fires, electric shocks or injuries. Only use it with a single base or with a K-Station.
Make sure that all maintenance, outside cleaning, is only done by authorised personnel. - Do not stand too close to the kettle when it is switched on.
Take care when handling the appliance as the steam is not always visible and can scald.
Make sure that the kettle lid is down and the filter is intact when tipping the kettle so that the boiling water does not come out of the lid opening.
- Do not operate the kettle on a sloped surface or move the kettle whilst it is working.
Make sure that the water level is between the minimum and maximum indicated on the kettle.
- Do not fill the kettle whilst it is connected to the connection base. If the connection base is damp, disconnect the power, remove the kettle and dry it properly. Once it has dried, you can connect the base again and put the kettle on its connection base.
Before using it for the first time, clean and rinse inside the kettle as shown in section "5. Cleaning"
Remove the kettle from its packaging, check inside and remove the packaging and the wrapping.
Check that the lid and the filter are fitted properly. If not, assemble it as shown in figure 3.
Assembly
In order to switch the appliance on, it is necessary to connect the kettle to a connection base. It can be placed on a single connection base and in your kitchen if you have a K-Station base for this purpose.
The connection mechanism is the same in both cases.
Connection to the single base: Fig 4

Connection to the K-Station: Fig 5
The kettle can be used as soon as it is fitted on the base properly.
Using the appliance
- Remove the appliance from its base to fill it with water. You can remove the lid as shown in figure 6 to fill it more easily, but you can also fill it with the lid open. In order to open the lid (A), press the lid open button (B) (Fig. 7)
Always keep the water level above the minimum level and below the maximum level marked inside the kettle. - Once the correct level of water has been reached, close the lid (A) by pressing the lower part until it fits hermetically into place.
- Press the 'on' switch (E) as shown in figure 8. The blue switched on light (F) will come on whilst the appliance is working.
- After boiling, the kettle will disconnect automatically.
Device to stop the water overflowing
If you try to fill the kettle above the maximum marked level, the overflow water will come out through the base via a device designed for this purpose.
In this case, before drying the water which has come out of the opening in the kettle base, disconnect it and remove the appliance. Once this has been done, dry it with a soft cloth.
Safety device
The appliance has a safety system which disconnects the appliance automatically if it is connected without any water in it. This is purely a safety function and if it is used very often it can shorten the life of the kettle.
Alternatively, every time that the kettle is removed from the base it will disconnect automatically.
DO NOT USE THE KETTLE TO HEAT ANY LIQUID OTHER THAN WATER.
Cleaning
- Remove the lid (Fig. 6) and the filter (Fig. 9)
- Clean the filter regularly rinsing it under the tap or if the filter is incrusted with scale, use a soft brush to remove it. The filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
- Do not forget to replace the filter in the lid (A) before putting the lid back.
- Clean the outside of the kettle with a soft damp cloth making sure that the electrical components remain dry.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, greasers, etc. to clean any part of the kettle.
Dscaling
It is recommended to descale the
kettle periodically, as usage and the
corresponding water hardness can produce
scale, which directly affects the kettle
operating correctly.
Use commercial descending agents or
vinegar.
If you wish to use vinegar, follow these
steps:
- Boil a litre of water with 2 soup spoons of wine vinegar in the kettle.
- Clean and rinse the kettle thoroughly.
- Repeat if necessary.
5. INFORMATION FOR THE CORRECT DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES

At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or
to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources.
To remind you that you must collaborate with a selective collection scheme, the symbol shown appears on the product warning you not to dispose of it in traditional refuse containers.
For further information, contact your local authority or the shop where you bought the product.
