How do I replace the batteries?

Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Remove old batteries and insert three AAA batteries following the polarity markings.

Why does my scale show 'Err' or 'OL'?

'Err' indicates an error (e.g., unstable surface). 'OL' means overload: the weight exceeds 400 lb/180 kg. Remove weight immediately.

How do I switch between lb, kg, and st?

Press the UNIT button on the back or bottom of the scale. Each press cycles through lb, kg, and st.

Can I use the scale on carpet?

For accurate readings, place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Carpet may cause inconsistent measurements.

What does the low battery icon look like?

A battery symbol appears on the display when batteries are low. Replace them promptly.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for choosing the Escali XL180, Extra Large Display scale. This precision state-of-the-art measuring instrument is most accurate when weighing on a flat hard surface.

Avoid carpet. As the electronic sensors are sensitive, avoid dropping or jarring the scale and store where it will be protected from impact.

FULL DISPLAY

INITIAL SETUP :

1. Remove the insulating plastic strip from the batteries and ensure the +/- terminals are correctly placed as shown inside the battery compartment. This scale operates on 2-CR2032 lithium batteries (included).
2. Select desired unit mode (Kg or Lb) with slide switch on bottom of scale.

HOW TO WEIGH:

1. Use foot to tap on the middle of the weighing platform.
2. LCD shows a moving '8', then '0,0'.
3. Now step on the platform and stand still.
4. Your weight reading is shown in about 3 seconds then locked.
5. You can now step off the scale. The display will hold your weight reading for about 5 seconds
6. The scale then turns off automatically in about 8 seconds.

TURNING OFF YOUR SCALE:

The scale turns off automatically in about 8 seconds.

CHANGING THE WEIGHING MODE:

You can simply change the weighing mode on the back side of the scale.

DO NOT PLACE OVERWEIGHT ITEMS ON THE SCALE:

Weighing items over the maximum weight capacity will cause an overload 'Err' error to display. Immediately remove overweight items to avoid causing damage to your scale.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT:

Replace the batteries when the LCD display shows the low battery 'LO' symbol.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

1.) Make sure your scale is at room temperature, and on a stable horizontal surface free of vibration.
2.) This scale is not waterproof. Do not expose to moisture.
3.) As this scale is a precision instrument, it must be treated with extreme care. Avoid rough treatment, shaking and vibration.
4.) Do not disassemble this scale or the warranty will be void.
5.) The display value may be affected by electromagnetic disturbances such as operating near a radio. If this occurs, move the device that is causing the disturbance and turn the scale off and restart.
