Frequently Asked Questions - XO 6300 Scandomestic

What should I do if the oven emits a pungent smell or smoke during first use?
This is normal due to the bonding agent in insulation panels. Run the oven empty at 250°C for 90 minutes using the conventional function. Ensure good ventilation and keep children away until the smell clears.
Can the oven be installed under a hob?
Yes, but the worktop thickness must meet minimum requirements: induction hob 37 mm, full-surface induction hob 47 mm, gas hob 30 mm, electric hob 27 mm. Refer to the installation diagram for details.
How do I replace the oven lamp?
Disconnect power and ensure oven is cool. Remove the lamp cover by turning counter-clockwise. Replace with a new bulb rated for 300°C (contact service center). Reassemble cover.
Why is the fan still running after the oven is turned off?
This is normal. The fan continues to run for a while to cool down the oven electronics. No action is needed.
Can I use a steam cleaner to clean the oven?
No, a steam cleaner must not be used. Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners and metal scrapers to prevent glass damage.
What is the recommended power socket rating?
Use a 16A socket. The power cord should be accessible for easy disconnection.
What does the ECO function do?
ECO function cooks food gently with heat from top and bottom, saving energy compared to standard modes. Ideal for energy-efficient baking.
How do I remove odors from a new oven?
Run the oven empty at 250°C for 0.5-1 hour using the conventional function. Open kitchen windows and use the cooker hood for ventilation.
Can the oven door be left open for cooling?
It is not recommended. After use, open the door at a small angle and wait for cooling. Avoid leaving items on the open door to prevent imbalance.
What should I do if the oven does not start?
Check that power is connected, the main power switch is on, and the oven door is properly closed. If the lamp does not come on, contact after-sales service.
