Smell
If you experience an unpleasant odor from your product, you can do the following:
- Switch off the product/pull out the power plug.
• Empty the product of food. - Wipe all packaging with a cloth.
- Food that has a strong odor is wrapped in airtight packaging to prevent odor development.
- Switch the product back on and place the food back in the cabinet.
- Keep an eye on whether a new smell develops in the cupboard afterwards.
Defrosting of the product
Below is a general description of how to defrost your product.
Refrigerated products
Over time, frost can form on the back wall of the refrigerator. This is completely normal and is formed by the water in the air in the refrigerator.
The refrigerator compartment is designed to automatically defrost. The ice on the back wall will melt and run via the defrost water channels and the drain hole into the evaporation tank, where the heat from the compressor will evaporate the water.
Note! Always make sure to keep the defrost water gutters and drain hole clear to ensure normal passage of the thawed water.
Freozen products
Frost will form in the freezer over time. Unless the freezer section has the NoFrost function, it does not defrost automatically. Rhymes are perfectly normal. It is important that the freezer is defrosted, as energy consumption increases the more frost there is. In addition, frost also has a negative impact on the performance of the freezer.
Beware! Sharp objects and knives must not be used to remove frost or ice. This can damage the inside of the products and refrigerant piping.
Course of action:
- Switch off the product/pull out the power plug.
• Take the food out and put it in a cool place (possibly in a cool bag with cooling elements). - Remove the shelves, drawers and similar (does not apply to all models).
- Keep the door or lid open and place a bowl or similar so that it can collect the water that flows out of the product.
- When there is no more ice in the product, defrosting is complete and the inside is thoroughly dried.
- Connect the product and switch on the product.
- Let the product run until it reaches the recommended temperature.
- Put the food back.
In case of prolonged non-use
If the product is not to be used for an extended period of time, you must:
- Switch off the product/pull out the power plug.
• Take the food out. - Clean the product (See section on Cleaning).
- Leave the door open to avoid bad odors developing.
Instructions for storage in the refrigerator
The optimum temperature in the refrigeration department is 4^ C. If the temperature in the refrigeration department is too hot, the food runs the risk of spoiling too quickly. If the temperature is too cold, the food risks freezing or drying out. The refrigeration department is intended for short-term storage
Due to air circulation in the refrigeration department, there is a slight difference in temperature for each area of the refrigeration department. Therefore, different types of food should be strategically placed according to best shelf life and to minimize food waste.
We recommend the following:
Door shelves
The refrigerator door is the warmest place. It is therefore best to store food that does not need a lot of cold.
Food such as dressing, ketchup, soda and sauces can be placed here.
Top shelf in the fridge
Beverages and preserves such as jam, sun-dried tomatoes and mustard are placed here.
The top shelf is the warmest shelf. Therefore, it is best to place preserves such as marmalade and other vinegar products such as beetroot, Asian and cucumber.
Middle shelf in the fridge
The middle shelf is ideal for leftovers and cold cuts. In addition, it is also the best place in the fridge to place dairy products such as milk, cheese and butter. Milk must be stored at a maximum of 5^ C. The milk can also be advantageously placed on the bottom shelf.
Bottom shelf in the fridge
The bottom shelf is the coldest place in the refrigerator. It is therefore the best place to put perishable food. Advantageously place meat, fish and poultry, which must be stored at a maximum of 5^ C.
The vegetable drawer
The vegetable drawer is the perfect place to store fruit and vegetables because it is not too cold and the humidity is higher here than in the rest of the fridge.
We recommend keeping fruit and vegetables separate. This is because there are some fruits that contain substances that can promote the ripening process of the surrounding vegetables.
Outside the fridge
There is some food that does not need to be refrigerated at all or that is negatively affected by the cold. These are, for example, tomatoes, avocados, bananas and garlic/onions.
Tips and advice for storing fresh produce in the cold storage
For good food hygiene and best shelf life, it is recommended to follow these tips:
- Do not place hot food or hot liquids in the refrigerator. Allow the food to cool before placing it in the cupboard.
- Food should be packed in storage boxes or covered with plastic film. This is to preserve the aroma, color and freshness of the food.
- Fruit and vegetables must be thoroughly cleaned and placed in the vegetable drawer, where the humidity helps to extend shelf life.
- Avoid food coming into contact with the back wall of the cabinet, as this can affect air circulation and food risks freezing to the back wall.
Functions
The product can be equipped with the following functions. However, there is a difference as to whether it is a refrigerator, freezer or combi cabinet.
Super freeze function
The Superfreeze function is useful if you need to freeze a large amount of food at once or if the product has been switched off for a long time.
The temperature becomes significantly colder and the food is frozen so quickly that vitamins, nutritional values, appearance and taste are preserved.
Note! When superfreeze is activated, the compressor works constantly and the operating noise can therefore be somewhat louder than normal.
Vacation mode feature
If you are going on holiday or do not intend to use the product for a long time, you can set the product to an energy-saving holiday mode.
Important! When holiday mode is switched on, no food may be stored in the refrigerator compartment.
Door alarm
The product is equipped with a door alarm that goes off if the door to the product is left open for a long time.
Resume feature
In the event of a power failure, the product will resume the previously set state before the power failure when the power is restored.
Minus 15°C function
The product is approved for storage in a dry environment with an ambient temperature of -15^ . This is because the product is equipped with a compressor that generates heat and therefore ensures that the oil does not harden/clump at cold temperatures.
Although the product can stand down to -15^ , energy consumption will be different from what is given. When the product is set at a different temperature than that prescribed by the climate class, the energy consumption is no longer in accordance with what is given on the energy label.
The product's climate class has no influence on compressors technically developing heat. It is just one of the product's extra features that it can stand down to an ambient temperature of -15^ .
Furthermore, there is no climate class that covers down to -15^ C.
Normal accessories
The product can be equipped with the following accessories
Bottle shelf
The bottle shelf is intended for horizontal storage of bottles to save space. It is ideal for storing wine bottles, cans and juice.
The shelves in the product can be adjusted in height. Hold one end of the shelf and lift it up as you pull it out.
Shatterproof glass shelves
This product comes with adjustable, shatterproof glass shelves. To adjust, pull out the shelf and then
lift the front part and pull out the shelf.
Vegetable drawer
The vegetable drawer is ideal for storing fruit and vegetables. Pull out the drawer to place fruit and vegetables in the drawer.
Vegetable drawer with humidity regulator
The vegetable drawer is ideal for storing fruit and vegetables. To create the optimal storage climate, the vegetable drawer is equipped with a humidity regulator.
The humidity is adjusted by pushing the regulator either to the right or to the left
- For large quantities of fruit and vegetables, set the humidity to low.
- For small amounts of fruit and vegetables, set the humidity to high.
Ice cube tray
1 Fill the tray with drinking water and place it in the freezer.
2 To loosen the ice cubes, the ice cube tray can be briefly submerged under running water. Alternatively, the tray can also be turned slightly.
Freezer element
The product can be equipped with a freezing element that can be removed and used for cooling in a cooling bag.
In the event of a power failure or fault, the freezing element prevents heating of the frozen goods for a short period.
Installation
Ventilation condition
The position you select for the refrigerator installation should be well-ventilated and has less hot air. Do not locate the refrigerator near a heat source such as cooker, and avoid it from direct sunlight, thus guaranteeing the refrigeration effect while saving energy consumption. Do not locate the refrigerator in the damp place, so as to prevent the refrigerator from rusting and leaking electricity. The result of the total space of the room in which the refrigerator is installed being divided by the refrigerant charge amount of the refrigerator shall not be less than 8 g/ M3.
Note: The amount of refrigerant charged for the refrigerator can be found on the nameplate.
Heat dissipation space
When working, the refrigerator gives off heat to surroundings. Therefore, at least 30mm of free space should be spared at the top side.
Level ground
Place the refrigerator on the solid and flat ground (floor) to keep it stable, or else, it will give rise to vibration and noise. When the refrigerator is placed on such flooring materials as carpet, straw mat, polyvinyl chloride, the solid backing plates should be applied underneath the refrigerator, so as to prevent color change due to heat dissipation.

Normal running sounds
All products have different "operating sounds," which can sometimes seem annoying but which are completely normal functional sounds.
These are normal sounds:
Light humming
This sound originates from the engine and can occasionally become louder when the engine has just started.
Gargling/rippling sound or slight hum
Originates from the coolant circulating through the pipes.
Clicks
Small clicks can always be heard when electronic cards start or stop the engine.
Light background noise
If the product has a fan (depending on the model), the air circulating inside the product may create a slight background noise.
Avoid noise
If you find that the sounds are louder than usual, this can be due to several reasons. You can handle most of them yourself without a visit from a service technician.
The product is not stable
If the product is tilted, it can affect the circulation of refrigerant. Adjust on the leveling feet or place something underneath.
The door does not close tightly
If the door of the product does not close tightly, the compressor has to work harder to keep the temperature down. Make sure to close the door properly or get a service technician to replace the sealing strip.
The product is too close to a wall
The compressor emits small vibrations. If the product is too close to the wall, the sound of these will increase. Fix it by moving the product further away from the wall.
Trouble shooting
If you have problems with your product, you may be able to remedy it yourself using the table below.
Warning! Before troubleshooting, disconnect the power supply. Only a qualified service technician may carry out troubleshooting that is not covered in this manual.
The product does not work
The power plug is not plugged in or is loose. The fuse has blown or is defective. The socket is faulty. Unplug and plug it back in.
Check the fuse and replace if necessary. if defective. Mains faults must be rectified by an electrician. Please refer to the section on temperature setting.
Strange smell
Is there rotten food in the cupboard? Do you need to clean the product? Is food with a strong taste stored?.
Throw away rotten food. Clean the product. Wrap food with strong flavor.
The product does not cool enough
Do you place hot food in the product? Do you often open the door? Is the product in direct sunlight or near a heat source? Is there good ventilation?
Is the temperature setting too high? Allow the food to cool before placing it in the product. Checking and closing the door. Place the product away from heat sources.
Ensure good ventilation around the cabinet. Set the temperature according to the ambient temperature.
The door does not close properly
The shelves do not fit properly. Items are in the way/too many items in the product. The product is not leveled. Place the shelves properly. Reposition the items. Adjust on the leveling feet.
Water on the floor
The drain hole is blocked. Clean drain hole.
Small drops of water or frost form on the back wall of the product
This is completely normal, because it is a particularly cold and humid place in the product, when water droplets and frost condense during the product's normal operation.
It is difficult to open the door
It is normal for the door to be a little difficult to open, especially if it has just been closed: a small negative pressure is created to ensure that the door is completely closed. Wait a few minutes before opening it again.
Any repair of the product must be carried out:
