How do I install the DEBETA90 range hood?

Installation should be carried out by a qualified professional. Ensure the hood is securely mounted to a wall or cabinet, and the exhaust duct is properly connected. For recirculating mode, carbon filters are required. Refer to the manual for detailed instructions.

Can I use the hood in recirculating mode?

Yes, the DEBETA90 can be used in recirculating mode. You will need to purchase optional carbon filters (not included) to absorb odors. The hood comes ready for ducted installation, but can be converted.

How often should I clean the aluminum mesh filters?

We recommend cleaning the aluminum mesh filters every 2-3 months, or more frequently with heavy use. They are dishwasher safe. A clogged filter reduces airflow and efficiency.

What type of light bulbs does the hood use?

The hood uses halogen bulbs with a G4 base, 20W each. Ensure the bulbs are cool before replacing. Do not touch the bulb with bare hands to avoid shortening its life.

Is the hood suitable for island installation?

The DEBETA90 is designed for wall-mounted installation. For island use, you would need a different mounting kit. It is not recommended without proper support.

What is the noise level of this range hood?

The noise level ranges from approximately 55 to 65 dB(A) depending on the speed setting. This is comparable to normal conversation.

How do I set the automatic timer?

Press the timer button on the control panel. You can set the hood to turn off automatically after 5, 10, or 15 minutes. The lights and motor will switch off when the timer expires.

What is the warranty on the DEBETA90?

DeLonghi typically offers a 2-year warranty on parts and labor. Register your product online to activate coverage. This does not cover consumable parts like filters and bulbs.

Can I extend the flue height?

Yes, optional 850mm extension flues are available to increase the hood's maximum height by 300mm. These are useful for higher ceilings.

How do I reset the filter cleaning indicator?

After cleaning the filters, press and hold the filter reset button for 3 seconds. The indicator light will turn off. If your model does not have a specific indicator, clean filters regularly based on usage.
