Quels systèmes d'exploitation sont pris en charge par la carte SWEEX PU011 ?

La carte est compatible avec Windows 2000, Windows XP et Windows Vista. Les pilotes sont fournis sur le CD-ROM inclus.

Comment installer la carte PU011 dans mon ordinateur ?

Éteignez l'ordinateur et débranchez tous les câbles. Ouvrez le boîtier, repérez un slot PCIe libre et retirez le cache métallique. Insérez la carte en évitant tout contact avec les connecteurs. Refermez le boîtier et rebranchez le tout.

Les pilotes ne s'installent pas automatiquement, que faire ?

Insérez le CD-ROM Sweex. Si l'installation automatique échoue, dans l'assistant 'Nouveau matériel détecté', choisissez 'Installer à partir d'une liste ou d'un emplacement spécifique' et parcourez le CD pour sélectionner le dossier des pilotes.

Windows affiche un avertissement de pilote non certifié, est-ce dangereux ?

Non, c'est normal. Les pilotes Sweex sont testés. Cliquez sur 'Continuer l'installation' ou 'Installer ce pilote quand même' selon votre version de Windows.

Comment configurer le numéro de port LPT (LPT1, LPT2, etc.) ?

Allez dans le Gestionnaire de périphériques, ouvrez 'Ports (COM et LPT)', faites un clic droit sur 'Sweex 1 Port Parallel PCIe Card' et sélectionnez Propriétés. Sous l'onglet 'Paramètres du port', vous pouvez modifier le numéro de port LPT.

Puis-je utiliser la carte PU011 avec des clés de protection (dongles) matérielles ?

Ce produit n'est pas adapté à tous les dongles de clé matérielle. Vérifiez la compatibilité auprès du fabricant du dongle.

Que faire si mon ordinateur ne détecte pas la carte ?

Assurez-vous que la carte est correctement insérée dans le slot PCIe. Vérifiez que le slot est fonctionnel. Redémarrez l'ordinateur. Si le problème persiste, essayez un autre slot PCIe.

La carte PU011 est-elle compatible avec Windows 10 ou 11 ?

PU011 Sweex 1 Port Parallel PCI Express Card

• Do not expose the PU011 to extreme temperatures. Do not place the device in direct sun light or close to heating elements.
• Do not use the PU011 in extremely dusty or moist environments.
• Prevent hard shocks or impacts of the device, as this can cause damage to the internal electronics.

Hardware Installation

1. Make sure the computer is turned off and that there is no power connected.
2. Also remove the printer and monitor cable, because these have their own power supply.
3. Now unscrew the computer casing.
4. Make sure that you undo yourself of possible static electricity. This can be done by grabbing a (naked) central heating pipe or an unpainted water pipe. Pay attention not to use a magnetic screwdriver. Briefly touch the iron frame of the PC casing. Avoid direct contact with the contact points of the PCIe slot and contact points on the graphics card.
5. Locate a free PCIe slot and remove the metal protection plate that is in the computer casing for the intended slot. Consult the manual of your computer to find the PCIe slot.
6. When possible fasten the card with screws so it can not move.
7. When the card is mounted successfully, check if the other cards are still fitted properly in their expansion slot. It can happen that when a new card is added the other cards rise a little with as result that the card, or even the entire computer, may not work.
8. Close the computer casing and reconnect all cables properly.
9. Turn on the computer.

Place the Sweex CD-ROM in the CD-ROM player. When the CD-ROM already was in the player, open the tray and close it again. Windows will automatically install the drivers.

If windows can not find the drivers, choose "Install from a list or specific location" in the above window.

Port settings Parallel

The settings of the LPT port can be viewed and adjusted as follows:

Go to START -> settings -> control panel

In this window open "System". Go to the tab "Hardware" -> "device manager".

In the device manager open the "Ports (COM & LPT)" list and select: Sweex 1 Port Parallel PCIe Card

Open the settings by right clicking it.

The following screen appears:

Select the "Port settings" tab.

Here you can view or change your LPT port. Be aware that you do not choose a port that is already being used by the computer. This can result in a conflict.
