DESCRIPTION OF PARTS

HOW TO USE
- For initial use, wash filter basket, filter holder and the carafé thoroughly.
- Plug the unit into a convenience outlet, always make it sure that the unit is in OFF position.
- Put the filter basket into the filter holder.
- Put ground coffee into the filter basket using a measuring spoon, standard measurement is one scoop of ground coffee (7 to 8 grams) for a cup of water (8oz.), but you may adjust according to personal taste, and then close the funnel.
- Open the lid of the water tank, pour the desired amount of water and close the then. Note: Do not fill water tank above its maximum level as indicated on water level window.
- Wipe and place the carafé into the keep warm plate.
- Switch the unit ON.
- During the brew cycle, the water will automatically drip into the carafé.
NOTE: The appliance is designed with an anti-drip feature, if you wish, at any time during brewing cycle, you can temporarily remove carafe to pour and serve a cup of hot coffee. The brewing cycle will not be interrupted and no coffee will drip from the unit, simply return the glass carafe onto the warming plate to restart the brewing cycle, but do not remove the glass carafe longer than 30 seconds
- Remove carafe to serve after the brewing cycle, (about one minute later after the coffee stops dripping out).
NOTE: The coffee you get will be less than the water you have poured, as some water is absorbed by coffee ground.
CAUTION: When pouring coffee, make sure that the angle of the carafe does not exceed 45 degrees in reference to the vertical position, you can pour the coffee slowly until the carafe is empty, be careful not to over tilt and spill the hot contents of the carafe. The hot contents of the carafe burn the skin on contact.
-
After brewing, the appliance will automatically switch to the warming mode, which will continue to keep your coffee warm until you press the button to the "O" position. It is suggested that warming time shall be not more than 1 hour; aroma and coffee taste will decrease as long as it is exposed. For the best coffee taste, serve it just after brewing.
-
After use, switch OFF and unplug the unit from the convenience.
NOTE: Always turn off the unit if the carafé is empty.
HINTS FOR GREAT-TASTING COFFEE
- A clean coffee maker is essential for making great-tasting coffee. Regularly clean the coffee maker as specified in the "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE" section.
- Always use fresh tap water in brewing coffee.
- Store unused ground coffee in a cool, dry place. After opening a package of ground coffee, store it in an airtight container to maintain its freshness.
- For the best coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and finely grind them just before brewing.
- Do not reuse ground coffee since this will greatly reduce the coffee flavor.
Reheating coffee is not recommended as coffee is at its peak flavor after brewing. - Clean the coffee maker when over-extraction caused oiliness. Small oil droplets on the surface of brewed, black coffee are due to the extraction of oil from the ground coffee.
- Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted coffees are used.
