Frequently Asked Questions - Indigo IS-590 Scarlett

How often should I clean the humidifier?
Clean the tank and ultrasonic disc every week with a mixture of water and white vinegar. Deep descaling is recommended every two weeks to prevent mineral buildup.
What type of water should I use?
Use distilled or demineralized water to avoid white dust. Tap water can be used but may require more frequent cleaning.
Why is the humidifier not producing mist?
Check if the water tank is empty or if the ultrasonic disc needs cleaning. Also ensure the device is properly placed on a flat surface and not in a tilted position.
How do I use the aromatherapy function?
Add a few drops of essential oil directly into the designated aromatherapy tray located on the top of the humidifier. Never add oil to the water tank.
What is the maximum runtime?
With a full tank of 2.5 L, the humidifier can run continuously for up to 12 hours at the lowest mist setting.
Can I leave the humidifier on overnight?
Yes, the auto shut-off feature turns off the device when the water tank is empty, ensuring safe operation while you sleep.
How do I adjust the humidity level?
Rotate the knob clockwise to increase mist output and counterclockwise to decrease. There is no digital humidity sensor.
Why is there white dust on furniture?
White dust is caused by minerals in tap water. Using distilled water eliminates this issue. If using tap water, clean the humidifier more frequently.
Is the humidifier safe for pets and children?
Yes, the humidifier operates quietly and has no hot surfaces. However, place it out of reach to prevent spills.
What should I do if the device makes unusual noise?
Unusual noise may indicate that the water level is low or the ultrasonic disc is dirty. Refill the tank and clean the disc with a soft brush.
