Frequently Asked Questions - JAT014108 Jocel

How do I clean the Jocel JAT014108 heater?
Unplug the heater, let it cool completely. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Clean the air intake and outlet grilles with a vacuum brush. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge in water.
What safety features does the JAT014108 have?
It includes overheat protection that automatically shuts off the heater if it gets too hot, and a tip-over switch that turns it off if it is knocked over. The housing is made of cool-touch material to prevent burns.
Can I leave the heater on overnight?
It is not recommended to leave any space heater unattended for long periods or while sleeping. Always follow the safety guidelines in the manual. Use the timer or thermostat to limit operation if necessary.
What is the heating coverage area?
The Jocel JAT014108 heater can effectively heat a room up to 25 square meters (about 270 square feet) depending on insulation and ambient temperature.
How do I adjust the thermostat?
Turn the thermostat knob clockwise to increase the desired temperature, counterclockwise to decrease. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.
Why is the heater not heating?
Check if the power cord is plugged in, the circuit breaker is on, and the thermostat is set higher than room temperature. Ensure the overheat protection has not tripped; if so, let it cool and reset.
Can I use an extension cord?
Avoid using extension cords if possible. If necessary, use a heavy-duty cord rated for at least 2000W and fully unrolled. Plug directly into a wall outlet for safety.
How to store the heater in summer?
Clean the heater thoroughly, dry it, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Cover it to protect from dust. Ensure the cord is loosely coiled.
Does the heater have a fan-only mode?
Yes, the model includes a fan-only setting for circulating air without heat. This is useful in summer for a cooling breeze.
Where can I find spare parts?

  1. Leak Check.

Jocel JAT014108 - Hardware Used - 7

WARNING! A leak test must be performed annually and each time a cylinder is hooked up or if a part of the gas system is replaced.

Jocel JAT014108 - Hardware Used - 8

WARNING! Never use an open flame to check for gas leaks. Be certain no sparks or open flames are in the area while you check for leaks. Sparks or open flames will result in a fire or explosion, damage to property, serious bodily injury, or death.

Jocel JAT014108 - Hardware Used - 9

Leak testing: This must be done before initial use, annually, and gas Components are replaced or serviced. Do not smoke while performing this test, and remove all sources of ignition. See Leak Testing Diagram for areas to check. Turn all burner controls to the off position. Turn gas supply valve on.

Jocel JAT014108 - Hardware Used - 10

Brush a half-and-half solution of liquid soap and water onto all joints and connections of the regulator, hose, manifolds and valves.
