Frequently Asked Questions - EHD 500 E Power Craft

How do I change the drill bit on the Power Craft EHD 500 E?
To change the bit, first unplug the drill. Open the keyless chuck by rotating it counterclockwise, insert the bit, and tighten clockwise. If the chuck is stuck, use the included chuck key for extra leverage.
What is the maximum drilling capacity of this drill?
The Power Craft EHD 500 E can drill up to 25 mm in wood and 13 mm in steel. Use appropriate bits and speeds for material.
Can this drill be used for screwdriving?
Yes, with a screwdriver bit holder. Set the torque clutch to avoid over-tightening. The variable speed trigger helps control driving.
How do I adjust the speed?
The speed is controlled by the trigger pressure. For more control, use the variable speed function. There is no separate speed selector; it's fully variable from 0 to 3000 RPM.
Is the Power Craft EHD 500 E hammer drill?
No, this model is a standard drill without hammer function. It is suitable for drilling into wood, metal, and plastic, not masonry.
What safety precautions should I take?
Always wear safety goggles. Keep the cord away from cutting edges. Use the side handle for stability. Disconnect power when changing bits. Do not use in wet conditions.
How do I maintain the drill?
Regularly clean the ventilation slots with a brush. Check carbon brushes every 50 hours of use; replace if shorter than 6 mm. Lubricate the chuck occasionally.
Where can I buy spare parts?
Spare parts such as carbon brushes, chuck, and switch are available from authorized Power Craft service centers or online retailers. Use original parts for safety.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers manufacturing defects for 2 years from purchase. It does not cover wear parts like brushes or damage from misuse. Keep your receipt.
Can I use the drill with an extension cord?
Yes, but use a heavy-duty extension cord rated for at least 10 A and keep it fully uncoiled to avoid overheating. Ensure the cord is suitable for outdoor use if necessary.
