Frequently Asked Questions - MJ-J176 PANASONIC

How do I assemble the Panasonic MJ-J176 juicer?
First, place the motor base on a flat surface. Attach the pulp container to the back of the base. Insert the filter basket into the juicer body and lock it into place. Then, place the juicer cover over the filter and secure it with the clamp. Finally, position the juice jug under the spout. Ensure all parts are correctly locked before use.
Can I juice whole fruits without cutting them?
It is recommended to cut fruits and vegetables into small pieces that fit easily into the feeding tube. The feeding tube diameter is 45 mm, so large items like whole apples should be quartered. Avoid forcing food into the tube.
How do I clean the juicer after use?
Unplug the appliance and disassemble all removable parts. Rinse them immediately under running water to prevent pulp from drying. Most parts are dishwasher safe (top rack recommended). Use the supplied cleaning brush to remove residue from the filter basket. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth only.
What is the difference between the two speed settings?
Low speed (speed 1) is suitable for soft fruits like berries and tomatoes. High speed (speed 2) is for harder produce such as apples, carrots, and beets. Using the correct speed maximizes juice yield and prevents clogging.
Why does my juicer stop working during operation?
The juicer has an overload protection feature. If it stops automatically, it may be due to too much food being processed at once or a blockage. Turn off and unplug the appliance, let it cool for a few minutes, and remove any jammed food before restarting.
Can I juice leafy greens like spinach or kale?
Yes, but it is best to roll the leaves into a ball or wrap them around a stalk before feeding. Alternatively, juice them alternating with firmer vegetables like cucumber or celery to push them through.
Is the juice container and pulp container BPA-free?
Yes, the containers are made from BPA-free plastic, ensuring safe food contact.
How do I prevent foam in the juice?
Foam is natural and harmless. To reduce foam, juice at lower speed for soft fruits. You can also use the included foam separator if available, or simply stir the juice before drinking.
What should I do if the juicer vibrates excessively?
Ensure the appliance is on a stable, flat surface. Check that the filter basket is properly seated and balanced. Also, make sure not to overload the feeding tube. If vibration persists, stop use and inspect for damage.
Where can I find replacement parts for the MJ-J176?
Replacement parts such as the filter basket, juice jug, and pulp container can be ordered from Panasonic's official website or authorized service centers. Use the model number MJ-J176 to find compatible parts.
