How do I insert the SIM card?

Remove the back cover and battery. Slide the SIM card into the slot with gold contacts facing down. Replace the battery and cover.

How to charge the Bea-fon C350?

Connect the supplied Micro USB charger to the charging port on the side of the phone. Plug into a wall outlet. The battery icon will show charging status.

Can I install apps on this phone?

The Bea-fon C350 is a basic feature phone with a proprietary operating system. It does not support third-party app installation like smartphones.

How to set an alarm?

Go to the main menu, select 'Alarm' or 'Clock'. Set the desired time and days. Ensure the phone is on and not in silent mode for the alarm to ring.

What should I do if the screen freezes?

Remove the back cover and take out the battery. Wait a few seconds, then reinsert the battery and turn on the phone. This will perform a hard reset.

How to save a contact?

Open 'Phonebook' or 'Contacts' from the main menu. Select 'Add New' and enter the name and number. Choose to save to SIM or phone memory.

This user guide will provide you with the general information and operation instructions.

General Information

This color screen phone is designed for the 2G GSM network environment. Enjoy good call connecting quality and high speed data access over the network. The package includes a chargeable battery, a charger and other accessories. Please refer to the Accessory section for details.

Note:

• Use only accessories approved by the phone manufacturer to ensure safety. Failing to comply with this will violate the terms and conditions of the warranty.
• If the contents and displays described in this user guide do not match the actual operation of the phone set, please use the display of the actual phone set. We reserved the rights to change the mechanisms of the phone without notice.

Security

Emergency call

In any country, you can dial 112 (or other emergency call number) for emergency help.

Note:

Based on the nature of cellular networking, the success of the emergency call cannot be guaranteed.

For your safety

• Switch off the phone in hospitals and aircraft. Obey any restrictions. Wireless devices can affect the medical treatment and cause interference in aircraft.
• Some medical devices such as hearing aids and pacemaker may be sensitive to external radio frequency emissions. Consult the device manufacturers or your doctor before using the phone around the medical devices.
• Pay special attention to the ring tone volume and vibration settings if you have a heart problem.
• In areas with potentially explosive atmosphere, such as gas stations, fuel or chemical transfer or storage facilities, obey all signs and instructions.
• You phone will emit radio frequency even in the standby mode. Turn off you phone when so instructed.

• Do not remove the battery without turning off the phone. Failure to follow this instruction may result in data lost.

• Do not keep the phone near magnetic cards and other object with magnetism. The phone's magnetism may clear the information stored on floppy disk, pre-paid phone card and credit card.

• When the vibrate mode is on, place the phone carefully to avoid it being dropped from a height or being moved to a heat source due to the vibrating.

• Do not disassemble or modify your batteries, otherwise it can cause leakage, over heat, fire or explosion.
• Disposing battery in a fire can cause fire or explosion. Old batteries should be returned to your dealer or be disposed according to local regulations. Do not dispose the battery as household waste.

• There is a risk of blinding if the liquid of the batteries gets into your eyes. In case of this, do not rub your eyes, you should rinse your eyes well with fresh water and go to the hospital immediately.

• If the leaked liquid of the battery touches the skin, it can burn the skin. Please wash your skin with fresh water and go to the hospital immediately.

• Never put the battery in your month. The liquid of the battery can be toxic.
• Stop using the battery when you find it became hotter, and change color and shape abnormally during use, charging or storing.
• Keep the batteries dry.
• Do not use or store batteries near fire, heater and other place with high temperature, otherwise it can result in leakage, over heat, fire or explosion. Store the battery in a cool and ventilated place without direct sun light.
• Do not charge the battery for more than 24 hours.
• The battery can be charged and discharged for hundreds of times but it will eventually wear out. The battery life is shortened with each charging.
• When replacing the battery, use only the batteries approved by the phone manufacturer. Damage resulting from using un-authorized batteries will not be covered by warranty.

Traffic safety

- Do not use your phone when driving a vehicle. Give full attention to driving and to the road. Provided there is an emergency, stop your vehicle in a safe place and then use your phone. Please obey all the local traffic laws and regulations.

- Normally the electronic systems in the vehicle should not be affected by the RF (Radio Frequency) signals from your wireless phone. However if you suspect any damage is resulting from the RF of your phone, contact your car dealer.

Stop using your phone in the car until a qualified technician clears the problem.

- Turn off your phone when in the gas station or any place where using wireless equipment is prohibited. Do not place or transport your phone with inflammables or explosives, the internal sparkle may cause fire.

Install the SIM cards

The telephone must be switched off and disconnected from the charger.

On the back of the phone, remove the battery cover by pulling it off with your fingernail in the notch on the left side of the phone's battery cover down (pic.1).

If the battery is in the device, please remove it.

Three card slots are available:

• Right side for 2 SIM cards pic.2
• Left side for a micro SD card. (up to 16GB).pic.3

Install the memory card

Carefully slide the memory card into the slot with the gold connectors face down.

Charging the Battery

1. Insert the charger connector into the telephone.
2. Connect the charger to a power outlet.
3. It could take several hours to charge the battery. If the telephone is charged while it is switched off, it takes a few seconds before the charging indicator appears in the display.
4. If the telephone is charged while switched on, the battery indicator begins to go up. The battery is fully charged when the battery indicator no longer goes up.
5. When charging is finished, unplug the charger.

Turn your phone on or off

1. Make sure that the SIM card is in the telephone and that the battery is charged.
2. Press and hold the red key for 2-3 seconds to switch on the phone.
3. If the PIN code is activated, the phone will now prompt you for your PIN code; please enter it and confirm your entry with the "OK" (left menu key).
4. Please select your language and confirm your selection with "OK" (left menu key).
5. Press and hold the red key for 2-3 seconds in order to switch off the telephone.

Note: If the battery discharged or removed from the device, the time and date will be reset.

Device Code:

The use of this code can prevent unauthorized persons from using this telephone. The factory default code is: 0000

PIN-Code

The PIN-code was supplied to you by your network operator together with your SIM card and/or adjusted/set up by yourself.

Lock screen

In order to avoid involuntary pressing the keys, press the red key to activate the key lock.

In order to exit lock screen mode, select unlock (left menu key) and press the red key within 2 seconds.

In order to answer a call when the keys are locked, press the call key. If you end or reject a call, the keypad is automatically locked again.

Torch

In idle screen, press and hold the OK button to turn on/off the torch.

Wallpaper

You can change the Wallpaper in following menu point:.

In Menu mode, select Settings - Phone settings – Display – Wallpaper.

Navigate the menus

In standby mode, press “Menu” (left menu key) or the “OK key” to access Menu mode.

Exit the current menu level; select "Back" (right Menu key).

Return to the home screen; press the "End key".

Dedicated keys

With personal shortcuts, you can get quick access to frequently used phone functions.

1. Select Menu "Settings – Phone settings-Dedicated keys.

Assign phone functions to the selection keys Select right, left, up or down selection key and select a function from the list.

The device functions are grouped into menus. Not all menu functions or option items are described here.

Make a call

1. In standby mode, enter an area code and a phone number.

2. Press "green call key" to dial the number.

NOTE: If you use two SIM cards, please choose the SIM card which you want to use.

1. To end the call, press the "red end key".

Answer a Call

1. Press "green call key" to answer the call.
2. To end the call, press the "red end key".

Call dialed Numbers

In standby mode, press “the green key” to display a list of missed, received and dialed calls.

Scroll up or down to select a number or name.

Press the “OK” key to view details of the call or “green key” to dial the number

Speed dial

1. Select Menu, Phonebook and press OK
2. Press Options
3. Select Phonebook Settings and press OK
4. Select Speed dial and press OK

You can switch the Speed dial (status) on or off.

Set numbers:

Up to 8 numbers can be saved as speed dial numbers (2-9).

1. Select Set numbers and press OK.
2. Select the desired no. (2-9) and press Edit.
3. Select the desired name from the Phonebook and press OK (the desired name must already be stored under Contacts).

On the default screen, press 2.3 seconds the desired number (2-9) and the assigned number will be called.

Headset/Bluetooth mode

If a headset is connected to the USB socket (or a Bluetooth Headset), you can answer the call with the button on the headset.

Bluetooth

1. Select Menu, Settings and press OK
2. Select Connections and press OK
3. Select Bluetooth and press OK
   With Bluetooth, you can connect your telephone with a compatible Bluetooth device.

Search for Bluetooth audio device

1. Select "My device" and press OK
2. Select "Search new device" and press OK.
3. Select the desired device and press Pair.
4. If a connection with another Bluetooth device is established, you require a Password.
5. Confirm the password with OK.

Adjust the volume.

Press arrow key up or down to change the volume during a call or when listening to the radio.

Change phone tones

1. In Menu mode, select Settings - Profiles.
2. Scroll to the profile you are using.
3. Select customize and edit the phone tones
   To switch to another profile, select it from the list.

Dual SIM card open/close

1. In Menu mode, select "Settings"
2. Select "Dual SIM Settings
   If you use two SIM cards, you can activate or deactivate the SIM card.

Voicemail server

Voice mail is a network function. If a voice mail has been received, the receipt of a new message will be shown on the display of your telephone.

1. In Menu mode, select Messages and press OK
2. Select Voicemail server and press OK
3. Select 1. and press Options.
4. Select Edit and press OK
5. Enter name and number of your voice mailbox number.
6. On the standby mode: Press and hold the number 1 and your telephone will call the corresponding number saved in the Voicemail server.

Note: This service must be supported by the network operator.

MAIN MENUS

Phonebook

Add new contact

1. In Standby mode, press the "right menu" key
2. Select "Add to Contacts - Select"
3. Select preferred storage
4. Enter contact information.
5. Press the “Options” select “Save” to add the contact to memory.

Messages

Write message

1. In Menu mode, select Messages → write
2. Message – SMS or MMS.
3. Enter the message text.
4. Press option – Send to and add recipient
5. Press the OK key to send the message.

NOTE: If you use two SIM cards, please choose the SIM card which you want to use.

Input method: In writing mode press “#” key to switch between the input methods:, ABC, abc, 123.

Insert Symbol:

Press „*“ key and use the navy key to move the Symbol which you want and press the “Ok” key.

Send and receive MMS

With the MMS function, you can send text messages and multimedia content such as pictures or audio files.

Before you can send or receive MMS you have to adjust the MMS settings.

1. In menu mode, select Settings – Connectivity – Data accounts
2. Select your network operator and set it as default. If your network operator not in the pre-installed list, please create a new data account.

For information about MMS setting please contact your network operator.

Note: If you write a MMS you can send multimedia files (up to 300kb) and the phone need a memory card.

Call Center

In Menu mode, select Call center.

The phone registers the phone numbers of missed, received and dialed calls.

Calendar

In Menu mode, select Calendar

On the calendar interface, press the navi-keys to browse through different days.

You can enter event (reminder) in the calendar.

Camera

In Menu mode, select Camera to turn on the camera.

Rotate the phone to landscape view.

Aim the camera lens at a location or an object and press the OK key to take a photo.

Important: Before you take a photo, make sure you have inserted a memory card (Micro SD card up to 16 GB).

Image viewer:

View the saved photos (in .jpg format).

You can send and also receive the photos via

Bluetooth:

1. In Menu mode, select Image viewer
2. Press "Options" and select "View"

Organizer

Alarm

1. In Menu mode, select Extras
2. Select Alarm and press OK
   Up to a maximum of 5 alarms can be set.

Tasks

1. In Menu mode, select Extras
2. Select Tasks and press OK
   Here you can enter tasks.

Add tasks:

Press Options and select Add.

Enter the desired details.

To save the event, press Options and Save.

Calculator

1 In Menu mode, select Extras
2. Select Calculator and press OK
With this function, you can use your mobile telephone as a pocket calculator. The pocket calculator can perform basic arithmetic functions.

FM-Radio

1. Plug a micro USB headset into the phone.
2. In Menu mode, select Extras - FM radio.
3. Press the OK key to start the FM radio.
4. Press to start automatic tuning.

The radio scans and saves available stations automatically.

Note: Press “*” or “#” to adjust the audio volume

Torch

With this function, you can turn on/off the torch

World clock

1. In the main menu, select Extras and press OK
2. Select World clock and press OK
   Here, you can display capital cities with their respective times.

File Manager

In Menu mode, select File Manager

Use the file manager to manage your files and folders in the memory card.

Settings

1. In Menu mode, select "Settings"

In this menu you can adjust various settings of the phone.

Following settings are possible:

• Profiles (Tone setting)
  • Phone settings (Time, Languages, Display, etc.)
• Security settings (PIN / Phone code “)

Copy pictures to the computer

To copy the pictures you took with the C350 camera into the computer, proceed as follows:

Connect the telephone to the computer using the supplied micro USB cable.

After that, a menu appears on the telephone -select "Mass storage" and confirm with "OK"

The computer will recognize the telephone as removable media.

Using the Windows Explorer, now you can process the data as usual or copy it into the computer.

Note: The photos are located in the telephone in the folder "Photos"

FAQ

The phone cannot be turned on

When the battery is very low, the phone may not be turned on properly. Please charge the battery.

Cannot make certain calls

Check if Call Barring is set. If it is set, you may not be able to make calls or only certain calls are allowed.

My call is picked up by another phone

Check if call divert is set. If it is set, your incoming calls may be diverted to other numbers or devices.

How can I use the memory card?

If you want to use a memory card please note that the C350 supports SD micro cards up to 16GB.

To use the installed memory card, please make following steps:

1. Press the camera key on the starting screen then press the left menu key "Options"
2. Go to menu point"6.Memory" and press the left menu key "OK".
3. Select the "Memory Card" and press the left menu key "OK".
4. From now all images will be saved to the memory card into the folder "Photos".

Error Message

Please insert SIM card

Make sure you have inserted SIM card. If you have installed it but it cannot be detected, please try clean the golden contacts of the SIM card by using a dry cloth. If it still is not working, please contact your network carrier.

No service

If you are in an area not covered by your network, or if a physical obstacle is present, such as in an enclosed area, the message “No service” will be displayed on your Standby screen and you will not be able to make or receive calls. You can try move closer to a window for better reception.

For emergency only

When you are outside your network but inside other network, you can only make emergency call.

No Valid SIM card

Your SIM card is locked or it has an error. Please insert the right SIM card or contact your service provider.

Enter PUK code

After three consecutive incorrect PIN code entries, the code is blocked, and you need the PUK code to unblock it. Contact your service provider. After seven consecutive incorrect PUK code entries, the SIM card cannot be used any more. Please contact your service provider to buy a new SIM card.

SMS send failed

Please check the SMSC-address and go to menu point:

"Messages - Message settings – Text message – SIM – Profile settings – Profil1 –Profile settings – Edit - SMSC-Address"

MMS send failed

Please check the MMS data account and go to menu point:

"Settings - Connectivity - Data accounts".

Screen is dark

Check if battery if battery is low. Charge the battery or change the battery.

The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol on your product, battery, literature, or packaging reminds you that all electrical and electronic products and batteries must be taken to separate collection at the end of their working life. Do not dispose of these products as unsorted municipal waste.
