| Green | - | Earth |
| Blue | - | Neutral |

Thermostat

Load:
1,2&3 - Less load
4,5&6 - Average load
7&8 - Full load
The temperature in the chest freezer is automatically controlled by the adjustable thermostat.
Operation
Before using the freezer it must be cleaned thoroughly with lukewarm or clean water to remove away dust or dirt at the interior surface of the freezer. This is to avoid contamination of food. After cleaning switch on the freezer and set the thermostat control to MAX, without putting any food for at least 4-5 hours. This is to ensure that the cold air in the freezer has reached a suitable temperature for freezing food. As a result, frozen food can preserve its freshness and taste for a longer period. After stabilizing the temperature, the thermostat control is set to the appropriate setting according to the food load.
CAUTION :
During start up (i.e. 3-5 hours) DO NOT BE ALARMED by the heat on the external cabinet. This is normal as the condenser is concealed around the internal surface of the cabinet.
Defrosting
Complete defrosting will in course of time become necessary. This should be carried out if the frost built up cannot be scraped away or if it begins to interfere with frozen food storage.
Procedures:
- Take out the frozen food, turn the freezer off at the main supply and leave the lid open.
- Scrape away as much frost as possible, thawing of the reminder can be accelerated by placing a bowl of hot water inside the cabinet. As the solid frost loosens, scrape it away with a plastic scraper and then wipe over the cabinet and the lid and dry thoroughly.
- When the cabinet is completely dry and clean, close the lid, switch on main supply. Proceed as for instruction on "OPERATION OF THE FREEZER".
Storage / Usage
- Always put frozen food at the bottom section of the freezer.
- Not more than 15kg of raw food can be put into the basket provided for freezing at any one time.
- Always cover the frozen food with plastic sheet before putting into the freezer. This will prevent difficulty of taking frozen food out later from the freezer.
Note:
In case of failure in door opening in the usual manner, due to the internal vacuum effect, use a screw driver or any similar shape but NOT SHARP item to lift up a portion of the gasket to flow air into the unit then try to open the door again.
