Alert:
1) The temperature will be affected by:
• Room temperature
• How often the door is opened
• How much food is stored
• Position of the appliance
2) Please remember each time the lid is opened, cold air escapes and the internal temperature rises. Therefore,
never leave the lid open and ensure it is closed immediately after food is put in or removed.
3) DO NOT frequently power ON / OFF the freezer.
4) If there is an electricity cut-off, please wait for 5 minutes before operating the appliance again to avoid damage to the compressor.
Operation
1) Before using the freezer it must be cleaned thoroughly with lukewarm or clean water to remove away dust or dirt at the interior surface of the freezer. This is to avoid contamination of food.
2) After cleaning switch on the freezer and set the thermostat control knob at max position, without putting any food for at least 2-3 hours. This is to ensure that the cold air in the freezer has reached a suitable temperature for freezing food. As a result, frozen food can preserve its freshness and taste for a longer period.
3) After stabilising the temperature, the thermostat control is set to the appropriate setting according to the food load.
ALERT:
1) During start up (i.e. 3-5 hours) DO NOT BE ALARMED by the heat on the external cabinet. This is normal as the condenser is concealed around the internal surface of the cabinet.
2) After installing the appliance, wait for at least 2 hours and max 12 hours BEFORE switching on the appliance. (Alert: During transportation, the oil in the compressor may have flowed into the refrigeration system)
Defrosting
Complete defrosting will in course of time become necessary. This should be carried out if the frost built up cannot be scraped away or if it begins to interfere with frozen food storage.
Procedures:
- Take out the frozen food, turn the freezer off at the main supply and leave the lid open.
- Scrape away as much frost as possible, thawing of the reminder can be accelerated by placing a bowl of hot water inside the cabinet. As the solid frost loosens, scrape it away with a plastic scraper and then wipe over the cabinet and the lid and dry thoroughly.
- When the cabinet is completely dry and clean, close the lid, switch on main supply. Proceed as for instruction on "OPERATION OF THE FREEZER".
ALERT
This appliance should not be left unused for a long period. To stop using the appliance, disconnect the main power. Clean the interior & dry it completely. Open the door for 2-3 days to ensure it is dry completely.
Storage / Usage
- Do not put large amount of food into the unit at one time.
- Warm food must be cooled down to normal temperature before put into the unit.
- Raw food can be put into the basket provided for freezing at any one time.
- Always cover the froaen food with plastic sheet before putting into the freezer. This prevent difficulty of taking frozen food out later from the freezer.
- Do not place carbonated of fizzy drinks into the freezer.
ALERT:
In case of failure in door opening in the usual manner, due to the internal vacuum effect, use a screw driver or any similar shape but NOT SHARP item to lift up a portion of the gasket to flow air into the unit then try to open the door again.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Always ensure that the electrical mains is turned off and unplug before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not open the door frequently and too long to save energy. Opening the door for prolonged period may cause the freezer unable to perform optimum cooling.
- Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the appliance.
- Never use sharp instruments to scrape off frost or ice.
Normal Phenomenon & Troubleshooting
- If hearing the sound of water flowing in the unit, this is the refrigerant flowing sound inside the pipe.
- If there is some dew on the surface of the unit, please wipe with dry cloth.
- The temperature on the compressor surface can reach about 70°C\~90°C during its working time.
- Should you find that your freezer does not work properly, please check and test as per the following table, before contacting your Service Center.
| PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE | |
| The unit does not operate - Not plugged in. - The circuit breaker tripped or blown fuse. - The thermostat control knob is set too warm. | |
| The unit is not cold enough - Ensure the temperature control setting is at proper value. - External environment may require a lower value setting. - The door is opened too often. - The door is not closed completely. - The door gasket does not be sealed properly. - The unit does not have the correct clearances. | |
| Compressor turns on and off frequently | - The room temperature is hotter than normal. - A large amount of contents has been added in the unit. - The door is opened too often. - The door is not closed completely. - The thermostat control knob is not set correctly. - The door gasket does not be sealed properly. - The unit does not have the correct clearances. |
| Vibrations - Check to assure that the unit is levelled. | |
| The unit seems to make too much noise | - The rattling noise may come from the flow of the refrigerant which is normal. - As each cycle ends, you may hear gurgling sounds caused by the flow of refrigerant in your unit. - Contraction of the inside walls may cause popping and crackling noises. - The refrigeration showcase is not levelled. |
| The door will not close properly | - The unit is not levelled. - The gasket is dirty. - The shelves are out of position. |
Work Condition

Circuit Diagram for FZF252D & FZF362D
- A green light and red light are installed on the thermostat control panel.
- The red light is power indicator which is on when power is connected to the freezer.
- The green light is used for the compressor which is on when the compressor is running, or is off when compressor is not running.
- This makes it convenient to determine if there is power or not and if the refrigerating system is working or not.
The following conditions are not considered troubles to the unit:
1) The refrigerating system runs for a long time when the freezer is used for the first time or more articles are put into it.
2) Condensation is normal when ambient humidity is high, drops of water appear on the exterior wall of cabinet.
3) Sound of running water. This is merely the sound of running refrigerants.
