BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

Check that all the accessories are included and that the coffee maker is undamaged.

  1. Fill up with fresh water to the MAX mark.
  2. Start the coffee maker and allow the water to run through without using any coffee.
  3. Pour out the water.
  4. Repeat several times.
  5. Wash all loose parts thoroughly with hot water.

BREWING COFFEE

  1. Open the lid and fill the reservoir with cold drinking water. Do not fill above the MAX mark on the level indicator.
  2. Put a filter in the filter holder.
  3. Fill coffee in the filter. As a rule one level tablespoon of coffee per cup, depending on personal taste.
  4. Close the lid over the filter holder.
  5. Put the pot on the hob.
  6. Press the power switch.
  7. The brewing starts.
  8. Wait a minute after the reservoir is empty before removing the pot to make sure all the coffee has run through the filter.
  9. The coffee stays hot on the hob for up to 40 minutes after the brewing. The coffee maker switches off automatically after 40 seconds. Serve freshly brewed coffee for the best taste.
  10. Switch off the coffee maker and pull out the plug after use.

NOTE:

  • The volume of brewed coffee is slightly less than the added water volume, as the coffee powder absorbs some of the water.
  • Parts of the coffee maker get very hot when in use – risk of burn injury and/or scalding.
  • The brewing can be stopped at any time with the power switch. The indicator lamp goes out. The brewing continues the next time the power switch is pressed.

MAINTENANCE

NOTE:

  • Pull out the plug and allow the coffee maker to cool before cleaning.
  • Never immerse the coffee maker, the power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.

CLEANING

  1. Wash all the loose parts in hot water and washing-up liquid after use.

  4. Carefully wipe the hob with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive detergents.
  5. Replace all the parts so that the coffee maker is ready to use again.

DESCALING

  2. Fill the reservoir to the MAX mark with the vinegar mixture.
  3. Put the pot on the hob.
  4. Check that the filter holder (without coffee) and filter) are fitted correctly.
