Frequently Asked Questions - 005077 Menuett

How do I descale my Menuett 005077 coffee maker?
Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water, fill the tank, run a brew cycle. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then run two cycles with fresh water. Repeat every 2–3 months.
What should I do if the coffee maker stops brewing mid-cycle?
Check the water tank level, ensure the carafe is properly placed on the hot plate, and that the filter basket is inserted correctly. If the problem persists, unplug and inspect for blockages in the tubing.
Can I use paper filters with this coffee maker?
Yes, the reusable permanent filter can be replaced with standard No. 4 paper filters for a cleaner taste.
How do I clean the glass carafe?
Hand wash with mild soap and a non-abrasive sponge. Avoid sudden temperature changes to prevent cracking. Do not place it in a dishwasher unless specified.
Why is my coffee weak?
You may be using too coarse a grind or not enough coffee grounds. Use a medium grind and adjust the coffee-to-water ratio (typically 1–2 tablespoons per cup). Also, ensure the permanent filter is clean.
What does the brew-pause feature do?
It allows you to remove the carafe temporarily during brewing to pour a cup. The flow stops automatically, but don’t remove the carafe for more than 30 seconds.
How do I replace the permanent filter?
Open the filter basket, remove the old filter, and insert a new one. Ensure it fits snugly. Replacement filters can be ordered from Menuett or compatible brands.
Is there an automatic shut-off feature?
Yes, the coffee maker automatically shuts off after 2 hours to save energy and prevent overheating.
What should I do if the indicator light doesn't turn on?
Check that the power cord is firmly plugged into a working outlet. If it still doesn’t light, the unit may need professional repair. Do not attempt to open the housing.
Can I make more than 12 cups with this machine?
No, the maximum capacity is 1.2 L (about 12 standard cups). Overfilling may cause overflow or malfunction.
