Frequently Asked Questions - 802-622 Menuett

How do I descale my Menuett 802-622 coffee maker?
Use a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Fill the water tank, run a brew cycle without coffee, then run 2-3 cycles with fresh water to rinse. Repeat every 3 months.
Can I use pre-ground coffee with this machine?
Yes, add pre-ground coffee to the permanent filter. Use about one tablespoon per cup.
What is the maximum water capacity of the tank?
The water tank holds up to 1.5 liters, which makes about 12 cups of coffee.
Does the coffee maker have an automatic shut-off?
Yes, it automatically shuts off after 2 hours of inactivity for safety.
How do I clean the permanent filter?
Rinse the filter under running water after each use. For deep cleaning, soak in warm soapy water and scrub gently.
Why is my coffee not hot enough?
Ensure the carafe is properly placed on the hot plate. Pre-warm the carafe with hot water before brewing. Also, descale the machine if mineral buildup occurs.
Can I use paper filters instead of the permanent one?
Yes, you can use a size 4 paper filter. Place it in the filter basket before adding coffee.
What should I do if the coffee maker leaks?
Check that the carafe is correctly positioned and the lid is closed. Inspect the water tank for cracks. If leaking continues, consult the manual or contact support.
How do I adjust the brew strength?
Use more or less coffee grounds according to your taste. The machine does not have a strength selector.
Is the coffee maker suitable for travel?
It is designed for home use; its size and voltage (220-240 V) make it less suitable for travel to regions with different voltages.
