How do I set up the Zempire Drift tent?

Lay out the tent body, assemble the color-coded poles, and insert them into the pole sleeves. Secure the poles with clips, then drape the flysheet over and attach it. Stake down the corners and adjust guy ropes for stability.

Is the Drift tent waterproof?

Yes, the flysheet has a 2000mm waterproof rating and taped seams to keep you dry in moderate rain. The floor is also waterproof with a polyethylene base.

What is the maximum occupancy?

The tent is designed for 4 persons with floor dimensions of 240x210 cm. For comfortable sleeping with gear, we recommend 3 adults.

How heavy is the tent?

The packed weight is approximately 7.5 kg (16.5 lbs), making it suitable for car camping but not for backpacking.

How do I clean and maintain the tent?

Clean with mild soap and water using a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before packing. Avoid machine washing or harsh chemicals. Store in a cool, dry place.

Can I replace broken poles?

Yes, spare pole segments are available. You can also use a pole repair sleeve for temporary fixes. For permanent replacement, contact Zempire or an outdoor retailer.

Does the tent have good ventilation?

The Drift includes a mesh roof vent and a rear vent to reduce condensation. The inner tent also has mesh panels for airflow.

What type of ground should I pitch on?

Pitch on flat, level ground free of sharp objects. A groundsheet is recommended for extra protection. Avoid rocky or uneven surfaces.

How do I fold the tent back into the carry bag?

Lay the tent flat, fold the poles into a bundle, then fold the tent fabric neatly around the poles. Roll tightly to remove air, and place in the carry bag. Practice makes it easier.

Is a footprint included?

No, a footprint is not included but can be purchased separately. Using one helps protect the floor from wear and moisture.

1. Clear your site making sure there are no sharp objects. Try to get a site that is as flat as possible. Stretch out the tent with the door facing the front.

1. Thread the RED poles through the pole sleeves that run diagonally across the centre of the tent. Tension the poles inserting the pins located directly underneath each pole sleeve into the ends of the poles. It may be easier to have someone to support the crossover of the poles during this step.

1. Thread the BLUE pole through the front and the GREEN pole through the rear pole sleeves that run across the centre of the tent. Tension the poles inserting the pins located directly underneath each pole sleeve into the ends of the poles.

1. Thread the YELLOW pole through the pole sleeve at the rear of the tent. Tension the poles inserting the pins located at the rear corners of the tent.
2. Peg out the four corners firmly ensuring that the floor sits at flat as possible.

1. Thread the remaining think (4mm) pole through the pole sleeve underneath the vent cover above the door and insert the pole ends into the small pockets on each side.

2. Peg out all the remaining peg points around the tent. Firmly peg out the rear guy rope attached to the large fin at the rear of the tent at a 45^ angle.

1. Pull the fly over the tent and connect the SR buckle sewn onto the fin at the rear of the tent. Attach the hooks onto the loops sewn around the pole sleeves.

1. Peg out all the guy ropes. Try to have guy ropes at a 45^ angle to the ground. Also peg out the lower draft vents on each side of the tent.

1. For extra warmth and privacy you may decide to attach the inner inside the tent. Lay out the inner inside the tent with the door facing the front and the floor facing downwards. Attach the corner male buckles to the female buckles sewn into the inside rear corners of the tent. Connect the toggles through the corresponding rings sewn on the tent working your way front the rear to the front of the inner. Peg down the front of the inner and cover.

2. Ensure guy ropes are pegged out at all times during use

3. Never pack your tent away wet. If you must take your tent down when wet, ensure that you dry you tent completely as soon as possible to prevent mildew forming.
4. If mildew does form on your tent wash off pours with warm water and a soft brush to prevent further growth. Do not use detergents.
5. Do not use an open flame inside your tent. The fabric has been treated with a fire retardant but is in no way fire proof
6. Clean all pegs and poles before storing
7. If your poles do break, use the repair sleeve to cover over the broken section. Once you have returned contact your local retailer for a replacement pole section.
