How to use the electric blanket?

Connect the control to the blanket, plug it into a socket, then select the desired temperature level (1 to 6). For quick preheating, first set level 6, then reduce as needed. The automatic shut-off activates after approx. 180 minutes.

Is the electric blanket washable?

Yes, the blanket is machine washable at 30°C, delicate cycle. Use a mild detergent. Do not wash more than 5 times during its service life. Remove the control before washing. Do not tumble dry, do not iron, do not dry clean.

What to do if the blanket no longer heats?

First check that the blanket is plugged in and the control is properly connected. If the operation indicator is off, the auto shut-off may have triggered (wait 5 seconds after setting to 0, then set again). If the problem persists, the safety system may have cut off power. In that case, do not reuse the blanket and contact customer service.

Can this blanket be used for children?

No, it is not suitable for children under 3 years (risk of burns). For children aged 3 to 8, it can only be used if the control has been set by a responsible adult. Children over 8 can use it if they have received safety instructions. Always supervise children.

How long before automatic shut-off?

The blanket turns off automatically after approx. 180 minutes. The operation indicator then flashes. To reactivate, turn it off (level 0), wait 5 seconds, then select a temperature level again.

How to clean the control?

Use a dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the control. Never immerse the control in water or other liquids, as this could damage it and cause electric shock.

Can I use the blanket with a pacemaker?

Consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before use. The electric and magnetic fields of this blanket are well below the limits (max electric field 5000 V/m, max magnetic field 80 A/m, flux density 0.1 mT), but individual compatibility must be verified.

There is a plastic smell during first use, is that normal?

Yes, it's normal. During first use, a slight plastic smell may appear. It disappears quickly after a few uses. Ensure good ventilation.

How to store the electric blanket?

Let the blanket cool down completely first. Unplug and detach the control. Fold the blanket without creasing and store it in its original packaging in a dry place. Do not place heavy objects on it to avoid creases.

What is the warranty and how to claim it?

The blanket comes with a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering material and manufacturing defects. To claim, contact customer service (free phone in France: 080 53 400 06, in Belgium: 0800 70 611) or send an email. Keep the proof of purchase.

Please make yourself familiar with the heated blanket before preparing it for use or using it for the first time. To do so,

please carefully read the following operating instructions and the important safety information. The heated

blanket must only be used as described and for the stated types of use. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the heated blanket on to others you should also give them all of the documentation.

Intendeduse

This heated blanket is designed to warm the human body. It must only be used as a cover, not as a pad. The heated blanket is not intended for use in hospitals or for commercial use. In particular it must not be used for babies or infants, persons who are insensitive to heat, helpless persons, or animals. Any use other than that described above or modification of the heated blanket are not permissible and may lead to injury and / or damage to the heated blanket. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages caused by improper use.

field strength: max. 5000 V/m, magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m, magnetic flux density: max. 0.1 milli-Tesla. Therefore please consult your physician and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this heated blanket.

• Do not pull, twist or kink the cables. The heated blanket may otherwise be damaged.
  ■ Frequently check this heated blanket for signs of wear or damage. If signs thereof are detected, the heated blanket was used improperly or will no longer heat up, it must first be inspected by the manufacturer before being switched on again.

If the mains lead to the heated blanket is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service centre, or a similarly qualified person to prevent hazards.

■ With the heated blanket switched on, never

• place objects on it (e.g. suit-cases or clothes baskets),
• place a heating source such as a hot-water bottle, heating pad or similar items on it. The heated blanket may otherwise be damaged.

■ The electronic components inside the control unit will heat up whilst operating the heated blanket.
For this reason, never cover the control unit or place it on the heated blanket during operation. This poses a risk of injuries and / or damage to the heated blanket.

■ Always observe the information on start-up, cleaning and care, and storage.

●Safetysystem

Note: The heated blanket features a safety system. The electronic sensor technology prevents the heated blanket from overheating across the entire surface by automatically switching off in the event of a malfunction.

If the safety system switches the heated blanket off automatically as a result of a malfunction, the function display 2 on the control unit 1 will no longer light up, even when the heated blanket is switched on.

☐ Please note that, for safety reasons, the heated blanket must not be used after a fault and must be returned to the service address indicated.

Under no circumstances should you connect the defective heated blanket to another switch of the same type. This would also result in a permanent shutdown by the safety system in the switch.

Specialfeatures

This heated blanket features a super soft, hygienic fabric. The textiles used in this heated blanket

satisfy the high human ecological requirements of Oeko-Tex Standard 100, as verified by the German Hohenstein Research Institute.

- Start-up

Note: When the heated blanket is used for the first time, you may notice a smell of plastic; however, this will disappear after a short time.

To use the heated blanket, first connect the control unit 1 with the heated blanket using the plug-in connector 3 (see Fig. B).

- Switching on/off/Selecting the temperature

Switching on:

☐ Set the control unit to level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 to switch on the heated blanket.

Note: The function display 2 will light up after switching the heated blanket on.

Switching off:

☐ Set the control unit to level 0 to switch the heated blanket off.

Note: The function display 2 will go off.

Selecting the temperature:

☐ Set the control unit to the highest temperature setting (setting 6). This will cause the heating blanket to warm up quickly.

WARNING! When operating the heated blanket for several hours, we recommend setting the control unit 1 to the lowest setting to prevent the body from overheating

and to prevent potential subsequent skin burns or a heat stroke.

Set the control unit to the desired temperature (see Fig. A).

Level 0: off

Level 1: minimum heat

Level 2-5: customised heat

Level 6: maximum heat

●Automaticswitch-off

Note: The heated blanket switches itself off automatically after approx. 180 minutes. The function display 2 on the control unit 1 will then start flashing.

☐ To switch the heated blanket back on, first select level 0 and after approx. 5 sec. select the desired temperature level.

If the heated blanket is no longer used after the timer expires:

• switch off the heated blanket (level 0),
• unplug from the socket,
• disconnect the plug-in connector 3, thus the control unit 1 from the heated blanket.

- Cleaning and care

If the heated blanket is slightly soiled, use a dampened cloth and a little liquid mild detergent, if necessary.

use chemical cleaning agents or

scouring agents to clean the heated blanket and control unit 1. The heated blanket and control unit 1 may otherwise be damaged.

The heated blanket is machine

washable. Set the washing machine at an extra washing cycle for delicate items at 30 °C.

☐ Use a mild detergent at the dose recommended by the manufacturer.

Please note, frequent washing will cause wear on the heated blanket. It should therefore be washed no more than a maximum of 5 times in a washing machine during its lifetime.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY!

Please note that the heated blanket must not be dry-cleaned, wrung out, machine dried, mangled or ironed. These may all damage the heated blanket.

Do not bleach. Do not use any

cleaning agents containing bleach (such as heavy duty detergents).

Do not dry in a tumbler dryer.

Do not iron.

Do not dry-clean.

■ Reshape the still damp heated blanket to its original size immediately after washing and allow to dry flat, spread across a drying rack.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE

not fasten the heated blanket with pegs or the like to dry. These may all damage the heated blanket.

Do not reconnect the control unit 1 with the heated blanket until the connector 3 and the heated blanket are completely dry. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

Disconnect the plug-in connector 3, thus the control unit 1 from the heated blanket.

●Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning:

1-7: plastics / 20-22: paper and fibre-board / 80-98: composite materials.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

● Warranty / Service centre

We provide a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase for defects in material and manufacture of the heated blanket.

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage from improper use.
  ·Wearparts.
• Damage caused by the customer.
• If the device has been opened by an unauthoried repair shop.

This warranty does not affect the customer's legal rights. The customer must provide proof of purchase in order for any warranty claims within the warranty period to be honoured. Warranty claims must be filed with MGG Elektro GmbH-, Düsseldorf, GERMANY within 3 years from the date of purchase.
