Frequently Asked Questions - MKW-10M MPM

How do I prepare an espresso?
Turn on the device and wait for standby. Place a cup under the coffee dispenser. Adjust the dispenser height if needed. Press the espresso button. The device will prepare coffee and stop automatically. Serve immediately.
How do I make a latte macchiato?
Attach the milk container with cold milk (5°C). Connect the milk tube to the coffee dispenser. Place a cup under the dispenser. Press the latte macchiato button. The device will first dispense milk foam, then coffee. Detach the milk container after use.
How do I clean the milk frothing system daily?
Fill the milk container with fresh water and connect it to the device. Press the system clean button to dispense hot water and steam through the milk tube. Then remove the milk frother and clean it under running water with the brush.
What does the blinking indicator mean?
Different blinking patterns indicate specific issues: low water level (water tank icon), no coffee beans, grounds container full, brewer missing, service door open, or descaling required. Refer to the manual for exact icons.
How do I descale the coffee maker?
When the descaling indicator lights up continuously, fill the water tank with one pack of the supplied cleaning product and water to MAX. Place a large container under the dispenser. Press and hold power button + espresso button for 5 seconds. Press espresso to start. The process runs automatically; refill with clean water when prompted.
How can I adjust the coffee strength?
You can adjust the grind thickness while the grinder is running by turning the knob inside the coffee bean container. Turning towards + makes coffee finer (stronger), towards - makes it coarser (weaker). Never adjust when the grinder is off.
How do I set the machine to ECO mode?
In standby, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. The cappuccino, latte macchiato, and espresso buttons will blink or light up. Press the cappuccino button for ECO mode. You'll hear two beeps confirming the selection.
Why is there no crema on my coffee?
Crema may be absent if the coffee beans are not fresh. Try using freshly roasted beans and ensure the grind is fine enough. Also, check that the brewer is properly installed and clean.
How do I clean the brewer?
Press the bottom of the service door to open it, then remove the door. Squeeze the brewer release handles and pull it out. Rinse the brewer under cold running water (no detergent). Insert it back and close the service door.
What should I do if the machine doesn't turn on?
Check that the power cord is properly connected to the device and the wall socket. Ensure the plug is fully inserted. If it still doesn't work, try a different outlet. If the issue persists, contact an authorized service center.
