Frequently Asked Questions - Niche Switch ASTRALPOOL

Why is the water not reaching the desired height?
Check the pressure at the pump outlet. Ensure the pump is functioning correctly and the filter is not clogged. If the pressure is adequate, inspect the nozzle for obstructions.
Why is the water not coming out of the jet?
Verify that the unit is connected to the power supply and the control system is activating the correct valve. Check the fuse and wiring. Also inspect the nozzle for blockages.
Why is the jet not cutting when the relay is activated?
Check the wiring and connections between the relay and the electrovalve. Ensure the fuse is intact and the electrovalve is functioning properly. Verify the control system's relay activation frequency.
Why does the jet height change when other switches are activated in the same hydraulic circuit?
This is normal due to pressure variations. Install a relief regulation valve to stabilize the manifold pressure. Ensure all valves are properly adjusted.
What are the recommended water quality parameters for the unit?
Water temperature: 4–35 °C, pH: 6.9–7.8, free chlorine: 0.5–2.0 ppm, total alkalinity: 80–120 ppm, calcium hardness: 200–1000 ppm, TDS ≤2000 ppm, salt ≤2 g/l.
What is the maximum operating pressure of the Niche Switch?
The maximum working water pressure is 4 bar. Do not exceed this limit to avoid damaging the unit.
How often should I perform maintenance on the unit?
Activate the device at least once a month to check electrovalve operation. Inspect the inlet filter weekly. For stainless steel components, follow the separate maintenance manual.
What type of electrical cable is required for installation?
Use an H07RN-F type waterproof cable. The power supply must include an earth connection, an RCD (≤30 mA), and a properly sized circuit breaker.
Can the unit be installed in a windy area?
It is not recommended. Wind can displace the water jet. If installed in a windy area, consider using a wind guard or operating only in calm conditions.
What should I do if the unit freezes?
If the water temperature drops below 4 °C, empty the unit to prevent ice damage. Do not operate the unit when frozen.
