SÄKERHETSANVISNINGAR
- Read all warnings, safety instructions and other instructions. Failure to follow all the instructions and safety instructions can result in the risk of electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
- The term power tool in the warnings below refers to your mains-powered (corded) or battery-powered (cordless) power tool.
WORK AREA
- Keep the work area clean and well 11. Dark and cluttered work areas increase the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Do not use power tools in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools produce sparks that can ignite dust and fumes.
- Keep children and unlookers at a safe distance when using power tools. You can easily lose control of the tool if you are distracted.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
- The plug on the power tool must match the power point. Never modify the plug in any way. Never use an adapter with earthed power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or moisture. There is a greater risk of electric shock if water gets into a power tool.
Damaged or tangled power cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- Only use an extension cord approved for outdoor use. Cords intended for outdoor use reduce the risk of electric shock.
PERSONAL SAFETY
- Stay alert. Pay attention to what you are doing, and use your common sense when working with power tools. Never use power tools if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of attention when using a power tool can result in serious personal injury.
- Use safety equipment. Wear safety glasses. Depending on the type of power tool and how it is used, safety equipment such as dust masks, non-slip safety shoes, safety helmets and ear protection reduce the risk of personal injury.
- Avoid accidental starting. Check that the power switch is switched off before plugging in the power cord. Carrying a power tool with your finger on the switch, or connecting a tool to the mains when the switch is in the ON position, increases the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Remove Allen keys/spanners etc. before starting the power tool. Spanners or the like that are left in a rotating part of the tool can cause personal injury.
- Do not overreach. Always maintain a firm footing and good balance. This will ensure you have better control over the tool in unexpected situations.
- Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose-fitting clothing, jewellery and long hair can get caught in moving parts.
USE AND CARE
- Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for the planned work. The tool does the job better and safer when used at the rate for which it was designed.
- Do not use the tool if it cannot be switched on and off with the power switch. Power tools that cannot be controlled with the power switch are dangerous and must be repaired.
- Unplug the power cord before making any adjustments, changing accessories or putting the power tool away. These safety precautions reduce the risk of accidentally starting the power tool.
- Store power tools out of the reach of children when not in use. Never allow children, or anyone who is unfamiliar with the power tool and these instructions, to use the tool. Power tools are dangerous if used by inexperienced persons.
- Keep the power tool properly maintained. Check that moving parts are properly adjusted and do not jam, and that no parts are incorrectly fitted or damaged. Check for other factors that could affect functionality. If the power tool is damaged, it must be repaired before being used again. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
- Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam and are easier to control.
- Use power tools, accessories, and bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, with due consideration to the actual working conditions and the work that is to be done. It can be dangerous to use power tools for purposes other than those they are intended to be used for
instructions and safety instructions could result in the risk of serious personal injury and/or death.
- Unplug from the power cord immediately if it, or an extension cord, gets damaged. Do not pull the power cord to unplug the plug. Do not use the tool if the cord or plug is damaged.
- When used outdoors the product must be connected to the mains supply via a residual current device with a tripping current of ≤ 30 mA. If the machine is used outdoors, only use an extension cord approved for outdoor use.
- Wear safety glasses.
• Safety gloves are recommended.
• Always make sure that the power cord is pointing away from the machine. - Check that the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in the power cord.
• Only use the tool for dry sanding. - Never work on materials that contain asbestos. Materials that contain asbestos should only be handled by qualified personnel.
- Hold the tool firmly with both hands. Always maintain a firm footing and good balance.
• Sparks when working on metal can cause burn injuries and/or a fire. Keep onlookers at a safe distance from the work area and check that there are no flammable materials in the work area. - Empty the dust bag at regular intervals – and always after finishing the work. Handle dust very carefully – risk of explosion. Never throw sanding dust into a fire. Dust can ignite spontaneously, or if it is exposed to oil or water.
- Allow the total to stop completely before
DUST
- Dust produced during the work can be harmful to health, carcinogenic, flammable or explosive. Use a dust filter mask and suitable equipment for dust extraction/collection.
- The dust from some alloys can catch fire, or explode. Mixtures of materials increase the risk – keep the work area clean.
WARNING!
Fire risk. Dust in dust bags, vacuum cleaners or filters can self-ignite or be ignited by sparks, hot workpieces or other sources of heat, especially if it comes into contact with polyurethane, solvent-based paint and other chemicals. Make sure that the tool and/or workpiece do not overheat. Always empty the dust container before pausing the work.
WARNING!
The tool produces an electromagnetic field when in use. This field can in some circumstances affect active or passive medical implants. If you have a medical implant you should consult your doctor and/or the manufacturer of the medical implant before using the tool to reduce the risk of serious or fatal personal injury.
SERVICE
- The power tool must only be serviced by qualified personnel using identical spare parts. This will ensure that the power tool remains safe to use.
