How do I clean the Ambiano 2-in-1 Reversible Grill/Griddle?

Ensure the unit is unplugged and completely cooled. Remove the temperature probe. Clean the grill/griddle plate and outer surface with a soft cloth or sponge and warm soapy water. The base may be immersed in water, but do not immerse the plate or probe. Use a plastic scouring pad for stubborn stains. Never use abrasive materials or metal scouring pads.

Can I immerse the entire unit in water?

No. Only the base may be immersed in water. The reversible grill/griddle plate and temperature probe must never be immersed in water or any other liquid. Clean the plate with a damp cloth or sponge.

How long does it take to preheat the grill/griddle?

Preheating takes approximately 7 to 10 minutes. Adjust the temperature probe to the desired setting and wait for the indicator light to indicate readiness.

Can I use metal utensils on the non-stick surface?

No. To avoid scratching the non-stick surface, use only nylon, plastic, or wooden utensils. Never cut food directly on the cooking surface.

Before rst use

Before initial use, please wipe down the Grill/Griddle with a so damp cloth and make sure there is no metal or foreign objects on the temperature probe.

NOTE: During rst use, the Grill/Griddle may give o a slight odor. This is due to the newness of the product and will dissipate with use.

Set up before use

1. Unpack the Grill/Griddle and other necessary parts from the box.
2. Remove any unwanted packaging materials such as cardboard, plascs or styrofoam.
3. Wipe clean all the parts with a so damp cloth or sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
4. Assemble all the parts to the Grill/Griddle.
5. Place base on a heat resistant stable surface in a well venlated area.
6. Select ribbed grill side or smooth griddle side and place it on the base.
7. Make sure the temperature probe is turned to "O" OFF. Insert temperature probe into the receptacle in the handle. Plug the power supply cord into a wall outlet.

How to use the reversible grill/griddle

1. Adjust the temperature probe to the desired temperature. NOTE: The power indicator light is also the temperature indicator for the grill/griddle.
2. Allow the unit to preheat 7 – 10 minutes. Place food directly on the Grill/Griddle. Cook food to desired doneness.
3. When cooking is nished, turn the temperature control knob to "O" OFF and remove the plug from the wall outlet.
4. IMPORTANT: Wait unl the Grill/Griddle has cooled down completely before removing the temperature probe, or aempng to clean the unit.
5. Hot oil and liquid may splash as grease and juices hit the drip tray. BE CAREFUL WHILE GRILLING!
6. DO NOT TOUCH any hot surfaces while cooking. The grill or griddle may become extremely hot while cooking and will remain hot while unit is cooling down.
7. DO NOT overload the grill/griddle surface.
8. DO NOT remove the temperature probe until the grill/griddle is turned OFF, unplugged and completely cooled.
9. DO NOT move the Grill/Griddle while in use.
10. DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Always use handles.
11. ALWAYS make sure that the unit is set to the "O" OFF posion when not in use and when unplugging from power outlet.

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE BASE UNIT AFTER COOKING AS IT REMAINS HOT!

• If using bamboo or wooden skewers, soak skewers in water at least 30 minutes before use to prevent burning.
• Use only nylon, plasc, or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the non-sck surface. Never cut food on the non-sck surface.

• Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.

It is important to clean your Grill/Griddle thoroughly aer each use to prevent scky build ups that are dicult to clean later. Proper cleaning of the Grill/Griddle can lead to a cleaner, beer tasng food.

1. When performing any cleaning or maintenance to this unit, turn the temperature probe to "O" OFF and be sure to unplug from the power outlet rst and allow item to cool completely before removing the temperature probe.
2. Remove the temperature probe from the unit. Gently remove the completely cooled grill/griddle and clean the surface and outer surface using a so cloth or sponge and warm soapy water. NEVER IMMERSE THE GRILL/GRIDDLE OR TEMPERATURE PROBE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
3. Allow the base to cool completely before cleaning. Once cooled, clean the base with a so cloth or sponge and warm soapy water. The base may be immersed in water. Do not place the base in the dishwasher.
4. Remove stubborn stains or cooked on food with a plasc scouring pad and mild dish washing liquid.
