Installation/Set-up

Install and use the TV set in accordance with the instructions below in order to avoid any risk of fire, electrical shock or damage and/or injuries.

Installation

The TV set should be installed near an easily accessible AC power outlet.

Place the TV set on stable, level surface to avoid it form falling down and cause personal injury or damage to the TV.

Only qualified service personnel should carry out wall installations.

For safety reasons, it is strongly recommended that you use V DIGI Accessories.

Transporting

Before transporting the TV set, disconnect all cables.

Two or more people are needed to transport a large TV set

When transport the TV set hand, hold it as shown on the right. Do not put stress on the panel.

When lifting or moving the TV set, hold it firmly from the bottom.

When transporting the TV set, do not subject it to jolts or excessive vibration.

When transporting the TV set for repairs or when moving, pack it using the original carton and packing material.

Ventilation

Never cover the ventilation holes or insert anything in the cabinet.

Leave space around the TV set

To ensure proper ventilation and prevent the collection of dirt or dust

Notes:

Do not use the supplied AC power cord on any other equipment.

Do not pinch, bend, or twist the AC power cord excessively. The core conductors may be exposed or broken.

Do not modify the AC power cord.

Do not put anything heavy on the AC power cord.

Do not pull on the AC power cord itself when disconnecting the AC power cord.

Do not connect too many appliances to the same AC power outlet.

Prohibited Usage

Do not install/use the TV set in locations, environments or situations such as those listed below, or the TV set may malfunction and cause a fire, electrical shock, damage and/or injuries.

Location

Outdoors (in direct sunlight), at the seashore, on a ship or other vessel, inside a vehicle, in medical institutions, unstable locations, near water, rain, moisture or smoke.

Environment

Places that are hot, humid, or excessively dusty; where insects may enter; where it might be exposed to mechanical vibration, near flammable objects (candles, etc). The TV shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the TV.

If the following problems occur

Turn off the TV set and unplug the AC power cord immediately if any of the following problems occur. Ask your dealer or V DIGI service centre to have it checked by qualified service personnel.

When:

AC power cord is damaged.

Poor fitting of AC power outlet.

TV set is damaged by being dropped, hit or having something thrown at it.

Any liquid or solid object falls through opening in the cabinet.

Precautions

Viewing the TV

View the TV in moderate light, as viewing the TV in poor light or during long period of time, strains your eyes.

When using headphones, adjust the volume so as to avoid excessive levels, as hearing damage may result.

Screen

Handing and cleaning the screen surface/cabinet of the TV set

Be sure to unplug the AC power cord connected to the TV set form AC power outlet before cleaning.

To avoid material degradation or screen coating degradation, observe the following precautions.

To remove dust form the screen surface/cabinet, wipe gently with a soft cloth of dust is persistent, wipe with a soft cloth slightly moistened with a diluted mild detergent solution. Never use any type of abrasive pad, alkaline/ acid cleaner, scouring powder, or volatile solvent, such as alcohol, benzene, thinner or insecticide. Using such materials or maintaining prolonged contact with rubber or vinyl materials may result in damage to the screen surface and cabinet material.

Periodic vacuuming of the ventilation openings is recommended to ensure to proper ventilation.

When adjusting the angle of the TV set, move it slowly so as to prevent the TV set form moving or slipping off from its table stand.

Optional Equipment

Keep optional components or any equipment emitting electromagnetic radiation away from the TV set. Otherwise picture distortion and/or noisy sound may occur.

Stand Installation

Your TV is packaged with the TV stand base separated from the cabinet. To setup the TV table stand, please carry out the installation according to the instructions below.

Functions of the panel

Back Panel Buttons

INPUT: Displays the Source Select List.

MENU: Displays the TV Main Menu.

CH: Scans up through the channel list. In the TV menu system, it acts like the up arrow on the remote control and can be used to select menu options.

CH▼: Scans down through the channel list. In the TV menu system, it acts like the down arrow on the remote control and can be used to select menu options.

VOL+: Increases the volume. In the TV menu system, it acts like the right arrow on the remote control and can be used to select menu options.

VOL:- Decreases the volume. In the TV menu system, it acts like the left arrow on the remote control and can be used to select menu options.

POWER (☐): Turns the TV on and off.

Rear Panel and Descriptions

Basic Operation

Power On /Off

1. Connect the TV unit to the wall outlet using power cord.
2. When the power indicator is in red, the TV is in standby mode. Now press the "POWER" button on remote control or "POWER" button on side panel to turn on the TV. The TV work normally when the power indicator is in blue.
3. Switch the TV to standby mode, just press "POWER" button on the remote control or the "POWER" button on side panel. Now the indicator will be in red.
4. If unused for a long time in standby mode, please disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

Note: The TV set will display "No signal" while there is no signal input.

Note: When an item in MENU is displayed as gray it means that the item is not available or can not be adjusted.

Sharpness : Press ◀▶ button to adjust the sharpness level of the picture

Tint : Press ◀ button to adjust the tint of the picture. (available in NTSC system)

Color Temperature

Press ENTER button to enter submenu to select: Standard, User, Warm, cool.

Aspect Ratio

Press ENTER button to enter submenu to select the ratio of the screen: Auto, 4:3, 16:9, Zoom1,

Zoom2.

Sound Menu

Press MENU and buttons to select the SOUND menu.

Press button to select the items.

Press ENTER button to enter the submenu.

Sound Mode

Press ENTER button to enter submenu to select sound mode: Standard, Music, Movie,

Sport, User. (you can adjust treble, bass in User mode.)

Balance

Press ENTER button to enter submenu to adjust the audio output between left and right speakers.

Auto Volume

Press ENTER button to turn on/off the function of auto volume.

SPDIF Output

Press ENTER button to enter submenu to select PCM, Off, Auto. (Only available in DTV)

Time Menu

On Time

Set the time to turn on the TV automatically: Off, Once, Every Day, Mon.-Fri., Mon.-Sat. Sat.-Sun., Sunday.

Sleep Timer

Press ENTER button to select the sleep timer: 10,20,30,60,90,120,180,240(min).

Auto Sleep

Press ENTER button to turn on/off the auto sleep.

Option Menu

Press MENU and buttons to select the OPTION menu.

Press button to select the item

Press ENTER button to enter the submenu.

OSD Language

Press ENTER button to enter the submenu to select OSD language: English, SChinese, TChinese.

Press the YELLOW button to display the Reminder List. Press ▲/▼ to select a reminder, press the RED button to delete a reminder.

Remind

Press the BLUE button to display a reminder menu. Press ▲/▼ to select an item and ◀/▶ to change the setting. Press ENTER to add the program to the reminder list. An updated reminder list will be shown.

PHOTO

1. Press [◀] / [▶] to select PHOTO. Press [ENTER] to enter.
2. Press [◀] / [▶] / [▲] / [▼] to select the desired folder and press [ENTER] to open the folder; or press [◀] / [▶] / [▲] / [▼] to select the desired picture file and press [▶] to start playing.

Set the Recording Timer

The TV will record the program automatically according to your settings.

TITLE: Display the name of the recording program.

Start Time: Set the start recording time.

End Time: Set the end recording time.

MODE: Select the record mode.

When timer recording is set, the TV can be placed into standby. The unit will then activate the recording when the time is reached and then return to standby when the end time is reached.

You can watching the 3D image by using the 3D glasses.

Parents should monitor and ask their children about the above symptoms. Children and teenagers may be more likely

than adults to experience these symptoms.

- Do not watch 3D pictures when you feel incoherent, sleepy, tired or sick. Avoid watching 3D pictures for ling periods of

You cannot view digital channels.	Contact a local installer to find out if digital transmissions are provided in your area.Check if the antenna/cable is broken or bentUpgrade to a higher gain antenna.

The TV turns off automatically (the TV enters standby mode).	Check if the “Sleep off” is activated.
The remote does not function. Replace the batteries.
HDMI equipment cannot be recognized.	Check that your equipment is compatible with control for HDMI.
