Frequently Asked Questions - KHC 3212 Kernau

How do I light the gas burners?
Press and turn the corresponding knob to the maximum position while holding a flame or using the built-in ignition (if available). Keep the knob pressed for a few seconds after ignition to engage the flame failure device.
What should I do if the oven does not heat up?
Check that the oven is properly connected to the power supply and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Ensure the oven function and temperature are set correctly. If the problem persists, contact a qualified technician.
Can I use the grill and oven simultaneously?
Yes, you can use the grill and oven at the same time, but be aware that the total power consumption may be high. Avoid using both at maximum temperature for extended periods.
How do I clean the oven?
Allow the oven to cool, then remove racks and trays. Wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive oven cleaner. Avoid cleaning the self-cleaning liner (if present) with harsh chemicals.

Disconnect the cooker from the power supply. Remove the glass cover by turning it counterclockwise. Replace with a new 300°C heat-resistant bulb (e.g., 25W) and reassemble.
Why does the hob burner flame go out?
This may indicate a faulty flame failure device or a draft. Clean the burner cap and ensure the thermocouple is clean. If the issue continues, have the device inspected.
Is a child lock available?
Yes, the oven has a child safety lock to prevent accidental operation. Activate it by pressing and holding the lock button (if equipped) for 3 seconds. Refer to the manual for exact instructions.
What are the dimensions of the cutout for built-in installation?
This is a freestanding cooker and is not designed for built-in installation. It should be placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface with proper ventilation.
