Information about these instructions for use
Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance. You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are part of this product. They contain important information about safety, usage and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all instructions regarding safety and use. Use the product only as described and for the specified range of applications. Please also pass on all documents to any future owner.
Intended use
This appliance is intended exclusively for opening and resealing film packaging in private households. Do not use the appliance in commercial or industrial areas.

The following warnings and symbols are used in these operating instructions, on the packaging and on the appliance:

Safety
Basic safety instructions
WARNING!
This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how to use the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks.
- Do not allow children to play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
- Do not operate the appliance if it is damaged or has previously been dropped.
▶ Never open the housing – except the battery compartment for battery replacement – there are no serviceable parts inside the appliance.
▶ Never leave children unattended with the packaging material. Keep children away from the packaging.
Risk of suffocation!
▶ Do not reach into the appliance, and do not touch hot or sharp parts of the appliance.
- Do not make any unauthorised modifications or alterations to the appliance.
▶ In the event of malfunctions or obvious damage, please contact our Customer Service department.
CAUTION!
The appliance is designed for a maximum operating time of 2 minutes. The appliance must then remain switched off long enough to cool to room temperature.
- Avoid hard knocks or mechanical stress on the appliance and do not drop it.
- Keep the appliance away from heat sources (radiators, ovens, etc.), and do not expose it to extreme temperature fluctuations.
▶ Do not use any aggressive cleaning liquids or solvents to clean the appliance. They could damage the surface.
Safety instructions for handling batteries
WARNING! Mishandling the batteries can cause fires, explosions, leakages or other hazards!

▶ Always use protective gloves when handling leaking batteries! Clean the battery and appliance contacts and the battery compartment with a dry cloth. Do not let the chemicals get into contact with your skin and mucous membranes, especially your eyes. In case of contact with chemicals, wash the affected area with plenty of water and immediately seek medical attention.
Package contents
1) Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the box.
2) Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
3) Before using the appliance for the first time, check the package content to ensure that it is complete and free of visible damage.

Inserting/replacing batteries
1) Take the battery compartment cover ⑨ off the battery compartment ④.
2) If necessary, remove the used batteries and insert 2 new AA (LR6) batteries into the battery compartment ④ according to the polarity shown in Fig. B.
3) Put the battery compartment cover ⑨ back on.
Operation
⚠ WARNING! Do not reach into the appliance, and do not touch hot or sharp parts of the appliance.
Sealing film packaging
ATTENTION! The appliance is designed for a maximum operating time of 2 minutes. The appliance must then remain switched off long enough to cool to room temperature.
(i) Note: To make it easier to seal the film again later, open the packaging so that the opening edges are as straight as possible. Use a scissors, if necessary, to even up frayed edges before sealing.
(i) Note: The heat sealer can be used to reseal plastic bags or film packaging with a thickness of 0.05 - 0.2 mm (e.g. crisps bag or animal food bag).
1) Disengage the safety lock ⑤ by moving the slider ① to the symbol 🔒.
2) Insert the open end of the bag to be sealed into the side of the appliance marked with the sealing symbol ⑦.
3) Press this end of the appliance together for several seconds. The sealing surfaces ⑥ in the appliance begin to heat up.
4) Hold the appliance pressed together, and slowly move it across the bag to be sealed. While doing this, hold the bag firmly with one hand, and use your other hand to pull the appliance from one edge of the bag to the other (see Fig. 1) until it is sealed.

1) Insert the bag to be opened into the side of the appliance marked with the opening symbol ② ≧8
2) Engage the safety lock ⑤ by moving the slider ① to the symbol 📁. This prevents the sealing function from being activated by accident.
3) Hold the bag firmly with one hand. Hold the appliance pressed together with the other hand, and pull it from one side of the bag to the other to cut the bag open (see Fig. 2).

Cleaning and care
! ATTENTION! Do not use abrasive, aggressive or chemical cleaning agents. These can damage the surface of the appliance! Remove the battery before cleaning the appliance.
■ Clean the appliance only on the outside with a soft and slightly damp cloth.
Storage
⚠️ DANGER! Always keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
Engage the safety lock ⑤ by moving the slider ① to the symbol 📄. This prevents the sealing function from being activated by accident.
If you will not be using the appliance for an extended period, remove the batteries from the battery compartment ④.
■ The magnetic surfacen the battery compartment cover ⑨ allows the appliance to be affixed to suitable metal surfaces, such as a refrigerator, so that it is always close to hand.
Troubleshooting
■ The appliance seals poorly or not at all.
◆ The film bag must be clean and dry on the inside.
Do not pull the heat sealer too quickly over the edges to be sealed.
◆ The film may be too thick.
◆ The batteries are low/dead.
Disposal
Disposal of the appliance

This directive states that this appliance may not be disposed of in the normal household waste at the end of its useful life, but must be taken to specially set-up collection locations, recycling depots or disposal companies.
The disposal is free of charge for the user. Protect the environment and dispose of this appliance properly.
If your old appliance has stored any personal data, you are responsible for deleting it yourself before returning it.
If it is possible to do so without destroying the old appliance, remove the old batteries or rechargeable batteries before returning the appliance for disposal and take them to a separate collection point. In the case of permanently installed rechargeable batteries, you must indicate during disposal that the appliance contains a battery.

Your local community or municipal authorities can provide information on how to dispose of the worn-out product.
Disposal of the packaging

The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease of disposal and are therefore recyclable. Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.

Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material components for disposal, if necessary. The packaging material is labelled with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings: 1–7: plastics, 20–22: paper and cardboard, 80–98: composites.

Batteries/rechargeable batteries may contain toxic heavy metals.
The heavy metals contained are identified by letters below the symbol: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
For this reason, do not dispose of batteries/rechargeable batteries in domestic waste. Take them to a specialist collection point.
Only return batteries that are fully discharged.
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt in a safe place. This will be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you or refund the purchase price (at our discretion). This warranty service requires that you present the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) within the three-year warranty period, along with a brief written description of the fault and of when it occurred.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or to fragile parts which could be considered as consumable parts such as switches, batteries or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use of force and modifications / repairs which have not been carried out by one of our authorised Service centres.
Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:
■ Please have the till receipt and the item number (IAN) 444602_2307 available as proof of purchase.
■ You will find the item number on the type plate on the product, an engraving on the product, on the front page of the operating instructions (below left) or on the sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.
If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department listed either by telephone or by e-mail.
■ You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.

Otvaranje pakiranja od folije
1) Umetnite vrećicu koju želite otvoriti na stranu uređaja označenu simbolom rezanja ② ≫8
2) Aktivirajte sigurnosnu blokadu ⑤ pomicanjem klizača ① na simbol 🔒. Time se sprječava slučajno aktiviranje funkcije zavarivanja.
3) Čvrsto držite vrećicu jednom rukom. Držeći uređaj pritisnut drugom rukom, povucite ga od jednog do drugog ruba vrećice kako biste je otvorili (vidi sliku 2).
