Frequently Asked Questions - DH-3WL1 PANASONIC

How do I adjust the water temperature on the Panasonic DH-3WL1?
Turn the Power Knob clockwise to increase temperature. The temperature increases gradually from Inlet Water Temperature (Off) to maximum at 'High' (3500 W). Use the Water Volume Knob to fine-tune: turning anticlockwise increases flow (cools), clockwise decreases flow (heats). Always test water temperature with your hand before showering.
What should I do if no hot water comes out?
Check that the Power Knob is not at 'Off'. For Vietnam models, ensure it is at least at 'Low'. Verify the ELB Reset Lever is pushed up (if it is down, press it up). Also check that the Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) and ON/OFF DP Switch are turned on. If the ELB lever cannot be reset, contact an authorized dealer.
How often should I clean the filter and shower head?
Clean the filter unit at least once a week. To clean, close the main water valve, unscrew the filter knob anticlockwise, and rinse the filter with water. Clean the shower head holes with a soft brush weekly. If hot water draw is weak, clean the filter unit immediately.
How do I test the Earth Leakage Breaker (ELB)?
Press the ELB Test Button while the unit is on (Power Knob at 'On' and MCB/DP switch on). The ELB should trip (Reset Lever falls). Push the Reset Lever back up to reset. Perform this test once a month. If the lever cannot be reset or falls again immediately, stop using the unit and call an authorized dealer.
Can I install the DH-3WL1 myself?
No. Installation, removal, and reinstallation must be done by competent personnel. Improper installation can cause leakage, electric shock, or fire. The unit must be permanently connected to the electric supply via an ON/OFF DP switch with a contact separation of at least 3 mm. Earthing is mandatory.
What is the minimum and maximum water pressure required?
Minimum water pressure: 9.8 kPa (0.1 kgf/cm², 1.42 psi, 0.098 bar). Maximum: 380 kPa (3.87 kgf/cm², 55 psi, 3.8 bar). For DH-6VS1, min pressure is higher (27.5 kPa). Ensure your water supply meets these values.
Why does water continue to drip from the shower head after turning off?
A small amount of water may drip for less than 2 minutes after stopping the water flow or switching from Wide to Spot Shower. This is normal due to residual water in the shower head. To stop completely, turn the Water Volume Knob clockwise until flow stops.
What should I do if the ELB lever cannot be reset?
If the ELB Reset Lever cannot be pushed up or slides down again during operation, do not use the unit. Do not force it with tape or other means. Contact an authorized dealer immediately to avoid risk of electric shock or fire.
What are the recommended maintenance steps?
Weekly: Clean the shower head holes with a soft brush; clean the filter unit with water. Monthly: Test the ELB using the Test Button. As needed: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth (no benzene, thinner, bleach). Never spray water directly on the unit.
Can I use the DH-3WL1 for potable water supply?
No. This appliance is not intended for potable water supply. It is for household shower use only. The water inlet and outlet pipes must not be shared with other outlets to avoid pressure drops that can cause scalding.

WATER FLOW RATE ADJUSTMENT

1. How to adjust to maximum water flow rate.

Step 1: For DH-3VS1, DH-3VP1, DH-4VS1, DH-4VP1, DH-6VS1: Select Wide Shower mode on the Shower Head using the Shower Select Button (refer Figure 1).

Step 2 : Turn OFF the Main Water Valve.

Step 3 : Turn the Shower Head upward at waist height.

Step 4 : Turn the Water Volume Knob anticlockwise to maximum volume position.

Step 5: Gradually turn On the Main Water Valve and adjust the splashing height (H) of the shower. It is recommended to adjust the water splashing height (H) at 100 cm \~ 110 cm (approximately 3 L/min). (If splashing height (H) is too high, hot water temperature will drop because of an excessive flow rate).

Note:

  1. Pay attention to shower temperature when reducing the volume of water.

The shower temperature will become very hot if the water flow rate is too low.

  1. Water Volume Knob is at maximum position at this stage (refer Step 4).

Please adjust it to suitable flow rate using the Water Volume Knob by turning it clockwise.
