Tested by TÜV Rheinland LGA Products GmbH, Tillystrasse 2, D-90431 Nuremberg, Germany, Notified Body: 0197.
THE REGULATIONS IN DIN EN 14404: 2004 + A1: 2010 DEFINE 4 TYPES AND 3 PERFORMANCE LEVELS FOR KNEE PADS!
Types
Type 1: Knee protection that is independent from other clothing and is fixed to the leg.
Type 2: Knee protection that is fixed e.g. in pockets on trouser legs.
Type 3: Equipment that is not fixed to the body.
Type 4: Knee protection that is part of devices with additional functions, e.g. on a frame to aid standing up.
Performance levels
There are three performance levels:
Level 0 is knee protection that is suitable for use on an even floor surface and that does not offer protection against puncture.
Level 1 is knee protection that is suitable for use on an even or uneven floor surface and that offers protection against puncture at a force of (100±5) N.
Level 2 is knee protection that is suitable for use on an even or uneven floor surface in difficult conditions and offers protection against puncture at a force of (250±10) N.
Putting the knee pads on
Put on the knee pads on the knees by using the hook-and-loop strips to cover the kneeling area. The upper edge of the knee pad should be 2 cm above the bent knee. The knee pads can be worn over standard work clothes or directly on the skin.
The knee pads are suitable for all sizes. Please check that the knee pads are comfortable and are fixed sufficiently tightly for the upcoming task.

NOTE
Please ensure that the hook-and-loop strips are not too tight.
Do not allow the hook-and-loop strips to run across the back of the knee as this could impede blood supply.
Maintenance and care
Please check carefully before each use that your knee pads are free of damage. If the knee pads are damaged, for example in the form of tears, ruptures, or detached elements, then they are no longer suitable for use and must not be used in any circumstance. Please do not make any modifications to the article, as the protective function can then no longer be guaranteed. Increased soiling, modifications or incorrect use can reduce the performance of the knee protection in a hazardous way.
Cleaning
Heavy soiling can be removed from your knee pads by brushing. If the soiling is persistent then please wash the pads by hand in lukewarm water and using a neutral detergent solution.
Then rinse the pads with clear water. Avoid washing the pads with cleaning agents that contain solvents or are too strong.
Never clean the pads in a washing machine and do not use a dryer or an iron.

Storage and transport
This article should not be exposed to direct sunlight or raised temperatures whilst in storage or when being transported.
Do not place heavy loads upon the article. This could cause cracking or decomposition, something which can drastically shorten the protector's life span and limit its usability.
Only knee pads in perfect condition can offer protection concurrent with the purpose for which they are intended.
Disposal
Dispose of the article and the packaging materials in accordance with current local regulations. Packaging materials such as foil bags are not suitable to be given to children. Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children.
