Frequently Asked Questions - BRIO 1200 POLTI

How to select the correct voltage before using the hair dryer?
Before plugging in the appliance, check that the voltage switch (M) is set to the voltage of your country. Use a small screwdriver to move it if necessary. Incorrect voltage can damage the appliance.
What to do if the hair dryer suddenly stops?
The appliance is equipped with a safety device that automatically stops it in case of overheating, often due to a blocked air intake grille. Turn off the appliance (position 0), unplug it, clean the grille with a brush and wait about 10 minutes before restarting. If the problem persists, contact an authorized after-sales service.
Can I use the hair dryer in a bathroom?
Yes, but with caution. Never use it near a bathtub, shower, or sink filled with water. Unplug it after each use. Moisture can be dangerous even when the appliance is off.
How to clean the hair dryer?
Always unplug the appliance and let it cool before cleaning. Use a damp cloth for the exterior. For the air intake grille, remove hair and dust with a small brush. Never allow liquid to enter the interior.
What accessories are included with the BRIO 1200?
The hair dryer comes with a vanity case (N) for storage, a set of plug adapters (P) for different plug types, and an air concentrator nozzle (I) for targeted drying.
What to do if the power cord is damaged?
Do not use the appliance and do not attempt to replace the cord yourself. Contact an authorized Polti after-sales service to have it replaced. Never wrap the cord around the appliance.
How long is the warranty and how to activate it?
The warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase. To activate it, keep the receipt or detailed invoice and contact an authorized Polti after-sales service. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects, but not normal wear (filters, brushes) or damage due to incorrect use.
How far from the head should I hold the hair dryer?
Keep the appliance at least 15 cm from your head to avoid burning hair or scalp. Move it constantly to avoid concentrating heat on one area.
Can I use the hair dryer only on wet hair?
It is recommended to use the maximum temperature only on wet hair, then reduce the heat as they dry. For fragile, colored, or permed hair, use the minimum speed (warm air).
How to store the hair dryer after use?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely before storing it in the vanity case. Never wrap it by the cord and avoid bending the cord near the plug. Store it in a dry place, away from dust and out of reach of children.
