Frequently Asked Questions - ES-RC20 PANASONIC

What type of batteries does the Panasonic ES-RC20 shaver use?
The Panasonic ES-RC20 uses two AAA (LR03) alkaline dry-cell batteries. These are sold separately.
How do I replace the batteries in the ES-RC20?
First, slide the 0/1 switch to '0'. Then press the battery cover release button and remove the battery cover. Insert two new AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Reattach the cover.
Can I use rechargeable batteries?
The manual specifies using alkaline dry-cell batteries. Rechargeable batteries (Ni-MH) may have a lower voltage and might not perform optimally. For best results, use new alkaline batteries.
How do I clean the shaver?
Remove the outer foil by pressing the outer foil release buttons, then remove the inner blade. Use the included cleaning brush to clean both parts as illustrated in the manual. Reassemble after cleaning.
How often should I replace the outer foil and inner blade?
The outer foil should be replaced once a year, and the inner blade every two years for optimal performance. Replace immediately if they become damaged or worn.
What safety precautions should I take before using the shaver?
Always check that the outer foil is not damaged or deformed. Do not use if the foil is damaged, as it may cut your skin. Also, keep the shaver dry and do not apply excessive pressure.
Why is my shaver not turning on?
Ensure the 0/1 switch is slid to '1'. Check that batteries are inserted correctly with proper polarity. If the batteries are old or depleted, replace them with new AAA alkaline batteries.
Can I use the shaver in the shower?
No, the ES-RC20 is not waterproof. Keep the appliance dry at all times to avoid damage or injury. Use only for dry shaving.
How do I replace the outer foil?
Press the outer foil release buttons to remove the old foil. Align the new foil and push it downwards until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely attached.
Where can I find replacement parts for the ES-RC20?
Replacement outer foils and inner blades are available from Panasonic service centers or authorized retailers. Contact the shop where you purchased the appliance or your nearest service center.
