Frequently Asked Questions - NI-GT150 PANASONIC

What type of water should I use in the Panasonic NI-GT150 steam iron?
Use only room-temperature pure water or distilled water. Do not add perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, or other chemicals as they may stain or discolor fabrics.
How do I switch between enhanced and eco steam levels?
Press and hold the power button for about 4 seconds. A beep will sound and the eco steam level indicator will turn green. Repeat to switch back to enhanced steam level.
What does the automatic cleaning mode do?
After 2160 minutes of cumulative use, the iron automatically enters cleaning mode. Alternatively, press and hold the power button for 8 seconds to start manual cleaning. The iron ejects scale and impurities with steam and water through the soleplate.
Can I use the steam iron on delicate fabrics like silk or acrylic?
Yes, but always test on an inconspicuous area first. For delicate fabrics, set the temperature selector to the appropriate level and keep the soleplate slightly away from the fabric (about 1 cm) to avoid damage.
What should I do if the water shortage indicator turns on?
Disconnect the power supply, remove the detachable water tank, fill it with water up to the MAX mark, and reattach it. The indicator will turn off and the iron will resume normal operation.
How long does it take for the iron to heat up?
After pressing the power button, the iron heats up in about 60 seconds. The level indicator will turn off when the soleplate has reached the selected temperature.
Is the Panasonic NI-GT150 safe to leave unattended?
No, never leave the iron unattended while connected to power. It has an automatic shut-off after 10 minutes of inactivity, but you should always unplug it after use.
How do I clean the soleplate and steam vents?
For glue or residue on the soleplate, wipe with a wet cloth. If scale appears in steam vents, remove it with a wooden or bamboo toothpick and then wipe the soleplate with a wet cloth.
What is the maximum water tank capacity?
The detachable water tank holds up to 1.5 liters. Do not exceed the MAX water level mark.
Can I use the steam iron on clothes I am wearing?

- To switch the product back to the enhanced steam level, press and hold the power button for about 8 seconds until three consecutive beeps are sounded to indicate that mode switching is completed (the eco steam level indicator turns on and a beep is sounded when you press and hold the power button for about 4 seconds).

  1. Press and hold the steam button. The scale and impurities inside the main body are ejected from the soleplate together with a large amount of steam and water.
  2. When no steam or water is ejected from the soleplate or after about 1 minute, the power indicator becomes steady on from flashing and three consecutive beep are sounded. At this time, the product switches to the enhanced steam level, indicating the end of this cleaning process. After wiping the soleplate clean, place the iron on the heat-insulation pad correctly and lock it securely, and then press and hold the power button to power off the product.
  3. Bundle and place the corded hose and power cord in the cord storage space and store the product in a safe place.
