Frequently Asked Questions - NI-GHF025 PANASONIC

What type of water should I use in the Panasonic NI-GHF025 steam iron?
Use only distilled water or pure water. Do not use tap water, mineral water, or any additives like perfume or starch.
How do I fill the water tank?
Unplug the iron. Remove the water tank, flip it over, open the cap, and fill with water up to 120 mL. Close the cap, reattach the tank until it clicks. See page 16 of the manual.
Why is no steam coming out?
Possible causes: the iron is not fully heated (wait 30 seconds), water tank is empty, the steam button is not pressed, or the air vent on the cap is blocked. Check these steps.
Why does the iron leak water?
Water leakage may occur if the iron is not fully heated before using steam, or if the inner pipe is loose/damaged. Wait for the iron to heat up completely. If problem persists, contact service center.
Can I use the iron on delicate fabrics?
Test on an inconspicuous area first. Place a cloth over fabrics like velvet, acrylic, nylon, cashmere, or dark colors to avoid marking.
How do I clean the steam iron?
After use, unplug and let cool for at least 60 minutes. Wipe the soleplate and main body with a soft damp cloth. Do not use chemicals. If steam vents are blocked, have them serviced.
How long does the steam last?
With a full water tank (120 mL), the iron can produce steam continuously for about 7 minutes.
What does the indicator light mean?
The red indicator light turns on when the iron is heating and turns off when it reaches the set temperature. During use, it may cycle on and off to maintain temperature.
How do I store the iron after use?
Unplug, drain any remaining water, and let it cool completely. Fold the handle and store in a dry, stable place. Do not wrap the cord around the iron.
What should I do if the iron makes a noise?
A noise may occur if the water tank is empty (pump runs idle) or if the iron is tilted incorrectly. Fill the water tank and use the iron in the correct orientation. If noise persists, contact service center.
