Frequently Asked Questions - IB-DK4011-CPD Icy Box

How do I install the Icy Box IB-DK4011-CPD car mount?
Clean the mounting surface (dashboard or windshield) thoroughly. Press the suction cup firmly against the surface and flip the lever down to lock it in place. Adjust the arm width to fit your device.
What size devices does this mount support?
It supports smartphones and GPS devices with widths between 55 mm and 90 mm, typically up to 6.5 inches screen size.
Can I rotate my phone to landscape mode?
Yes, the ball joint allows 360° rotation, so you can easily switch between portrait and landscape orientations.
Is the mount suitable for heavy tablets?
No, this mount is designed for phones and small GPS devices. It may not securely hold tablets larger than 7 inches due to weight and arm size.
How do I clean the suction cup?
If the suction cup loses grip, clean it with a damp cloth and allow it to dry completely. Avoid using alcohol or harsh chemicals.
Can I attach the mount to a textured dashboard?
The suction cup works best on smooth, non-porous surfaces. For textured dashboards, use the included adhesive disk (if provided) or purchase a separate mounting disk.
Does the mount block any air vents?
No, this mount uses a suction cup, not a vent clip. It can be placed on the dashboard or windshield without blocking vents.
How do I remove the mount without damaging the surface?
Lift the lever to release suction, then gently peel the suction cup from the edge. Clean any residue with a mild cleaner.
What is the warranty period?
The Icy Box IB-DK4011-CPD comes with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Can I use this mount while charging my phone?
Yes, the mount does not cover the charging port. You can connect a cable while the device is mounted.
