Frequently Asked Questions - Grand Gourmet KM-1500VS WILFA

How do I assemble the mixer head and bowl for whisking?
Press the release button on the multifunction head (5) to lift it, then place the stainless steel bowl onto the base and turn to lock. Put the whisk or other accessory onto the shaft inside the bowl, adjust height by turning the shaft, then lower the head until it clicks. Add ingredients, close the cover, and set speed.
What is the maximum continuous operating time?
Do not operate the appliance for more than 10 minutes at one time. Allow 30 minutes rest before next use to prevent overheating.
Can I wash all parts in the dishwasher?
Most parts like the bowl, whisk, dough hook, and blender jug are dishwasher safe. However, metal mincer parts (grinding discs, worm shaft, cutter blade, screw rings) must be washed by hand and wiped with cooking oil to prevent rust.
How do I attach and use the blender?
Assemble the blade and seal into the jug with a quarter turn anticlockwise. Lift the multifunction head to horizontal, remove the cover (4). Place ingredients in the jug, fit the cover. Attach the jug to the Power outlet for blender (7) by turning clockwise. Do not run empty for more than 1 minute and avoid boiling liquids.
How do I use the mincer attachment?
Insert the worm shaft (18) into cutter housing (28) with drive pins first. Add the blade (19) with cutting edges up, then choose a grinding disc (fine, medium, or coarse). Screw on the ring (21). Attach the assembly to the multifunction head by turning anticlockwise until it clicks. Place tray on top. Use pusher to feed meat cut into strips (10 cm x 2 cm). Never use frozen meat.
How do I make sausages with this machine?
First mince the meat. Then replace the blade and disc with the separator (22) and sausage horn (23). Screw on the ring. Soak sausage skin in lukewarm water for 10 minutes, slide onto the horn. Feed the seasoned minced meat using the pusher. Wet the skin if it sticks.
How do I clean the blades and sharp edges?
Unplug the appliance. Disassemble all parts. Handle blades with care as they are sharp. Rinse immediately after use. Wash in warm soapy water or dishwasher (except metal mincer parts). For the blender, run hot water with detergent for a few pulses. Dry thoroughly. Lubricate metal discs and blades with cooking oil after each wash.
What should I do if the appliance stops working during use?
Check if the appliance has overheated due to prolonged use. Turn the speed switch to 0, unplug, and let it cool for 30 minutes before restarting. Also ensure the bowl and attachments are correctly locked. If the cord is damaged, contact an approved service centre.
Can I grind frozen meat?
No, never use frozen meat. Cut fresh meat into strips of about 10 cm long and 2 cm thick. Remove bones, gristle, and sinews. Frozen meat can damage the mincer and motor.
How do I adjust the height of the whisk or dough hook above the bowl?
The accessories have an adjustable shaft. Turn the shaft to raise or lower the whisk/hook so it sits just above the bottom of the bowl for optimal mixing. Adjust before locking the head down.
