How do I use the thermostat on this heater?

Set the main switch to position 2 (high heat). Let the heater run until desired room temperature is reached, then slowly turn the thermostat knob anti-clockwise until you hear a 'click'. How do I clean the Emerio FH-215052?

This product is only suitable for well insulated spaces or occasional use.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, burns and other injuries.

1. Read and save these instructions. Attention: pictures in the IM are for reference only.

2. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

3. Children shall not play with the appliance.

4. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

5. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

6. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

7. CAUTION — Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

9. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications.

6. Use this heater only as described in the manual, any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or personal injury.

7. This appliance is not a toy.

10. Any servicing other than cleaning and user maintenance should be performed by an authorized service representative only.

USE

1. Rotate the switch to choose the suitable setting ("S" = fan only, no heat/ "1" = low heat output/ "2" = high heat output).
2. Under the setting "2", the thermostat is at the max level. Let the appliance operate until the desired room temperature is reached.
3. Turn the switch slowly in anti-clockwise direction until you hear a "click" sound; this is the set temperature.
4. The appliance will automatically maintain the setting temperature. It will switch on when the room temperature is below the setting, and switch off if it is above the setting.
5. The thermostat will only be working at the heat setting "2". If you choose the heat setting "1", the thermostat will not work.

Note: This appliance has a swing function switch. You can press it for oscillation.

SAFETY SYSTEM

• This appliance is protected with a thermal cut-off protection that switches off heating automatically in case of severe overheating. eg. something covering the appliance. In this case, wait until the appliance cool and remove the objects. The thermal cut-off will automatically reset, heating as normally. Check for damage to the appliance, the cord and the plug. If there is no damage, plug the unit back in and switch it on as described above.
• This heater is equipped with a tilt protection safety device. For safety reasons, the unit will automatically switch off the power if it is put on unstable or uneven surfaces or if it is tilted accidentally.

MAINTENANCE

- The fan heater only needs regular cleaning on the outside.

• Before you clean the unit, turn off the switch. Remove the plug from the socket and wait until the fan heater cools down completely.
• Use a damp cloth to wipe the heater housing and use a vacuum cleaner or a dusting brush to clean the air inlet grille and outlet grille.
• Do not use detergents, abrasive cleaning liquids or chemicals (alcohol, gasoline etc.) to clean the appliance.
