Frequently Asked Questions - IAN 101260 Livarno Lux

How do I install the ceiling light?
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician. First, disconnect power at the fuse box. Mark hole positions, drill, insert dowels, and mount the bracket. Connect the mains cable (L, N, earth) to the light using the terminal block. Finally, attach the light to the bracket and secure with screws.
Can I use a dimmer switch?
The manual does not specify dimming compatibility. Only use the specified 230-240V~ LED lamps (GU10 or E14, max 5W). If dimming is desired, consult a qualified electrician and ensure the bulbs are dimmable.
How do I replace a bulb?
Disconnect the light from the mains by switching off the circuit breaker. Allow the lamp to cool completely. For E14 bulbs, turn counter-clockwise to remove. For GU10 bulbs, rotate 1/4 turn counter-clockwise. Insert the new bulb with a clean, lint-free cloth, turning clockwise to secure.
What type of bulbs are compatible?
Only use 230-240 V~ LED lamps with either an E14 socket (model 3560-042L) or GU10 socket (models 3560-042L and 3563-048L). Maximum power per lamp is 5 Watts. Using other bulb types may cause damage or fire.
Is the light suitable for bathrooms?
No, this light has an IP20 rating, meaning it is only protected against solid objects, not moisture. It is designed for indoor dry and enclosed spaces only. Do not install in damp areas like bathrooms.
How do I clean the light?
Always disconnect the power and allow the light to cool completely before cleaning. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the surfaces. Never use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the light and pose an electric shock risk.
What should I do if the light flickers?
First, check that the bulbs are properly seated and not loose. Ensure the mains voltage matches the required 230-240 V~. If the problem persists, the bulb may be defective; replace it. If flickering continues, contact the service centre or a qualified electrician.
Is it safe to install the light myself?
No, the manual states that electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or trained person to avoid risk of fatal injury from electric shock. Attempting installation yourself may lead to serious injury or damage.
How do I dispose of the product?
This product is subject to the WEEE directive (crossed-out wheelie bin symbol). Do not dispose of it in household waste. Instead, take it to a collection site for electrical and electronic appliances for recycling. Batteries should be removed and disposed of separately.
What is the warranty period and coverage?
The product comes with a 3-year guarantee from the date of purchase, applicable to the original buyer. It covers material and manufacturing defects but not wear items or damage from improper use. Keep your receipt as proof of purchase and contact the service centre for claims.
