Frequently Asked Questions - IAN 275323 CRIVIT

How do I trim the insoles to fit my shoes?
Use the trim marks on the underside as a guide. First cut slightly larger than needed, then adjust the heel and sides. Do not cut within the warning symbol in the toe area to avoid damaging the heating element.
How long does it take to charge the battery packs?
The optimum charging time is 6 to 8 hours. The battery pack is fully charged when the function indicator glows green. Overcharging (over 8 hours) reduces battery life.
How long do the insoles provide heat on a full charge?
At the highest heat setting (Level II), the insoles operate for approximately 7 hours. The lower setting (Level I) provides longer runtime.
Can I use the insoles in rain or snow?
The insoles and battery packs are not waterproof. Protect them from rain and snow. If they get wet, allow them to air dry only. Do not use a hair dryer or place on a heater.
How should I clean the insoles and battery packs?
Clean the battery packs with a dry lint-free cloth. For the insoles, take them out of the shoes occasionally and air them. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents.
Are the insoles safe for diabetics or people with reduced heat sensitivity?
People who cannot correctly perceive heat or cold, such as diabetics or those with certain disabilities, should consult their doctor before using the insoles. Regular foot checks for redness are recommended.
How do I dispose of the product and batteries?
Do not dispose of the insoles or batteries in household waste. Follow local regulations for electronic waste (WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU) and battery disposal (Directive 2006/66/EC). Dispose of batteries only when fully discharged.
What does the warranty cover?
The product has a 3-year warranty from date of purchase covering material and production faults. It does not cover normal wear, fragile parts, or damage from improper use. Keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Can I wear the insoles in low shoes?
Yes, but tuck any excess cable into your socks to prevent it from dragging on the ground. The cable must not be a trip hazard.
Why does the function indicator glow green or red?
Green indicates heat setting I (lower heat) or a fully charged battery. Red indicates heat setting II (higher heat) or charging in progress. When the battery is discharged, the indicator turns off.

First, select the shoes in which you wish to wear the insole ^2 . Bear in mind that the insoles ② are ca. 4 mm thick and that the better the shoe is insulated against cold, the longer you can heat with a single battery charge.

The trim mark 3 for different shoe sizes are printed on the bottom of the insoles 2 and serve only as a guide for trimming.

- Initially, trim the insole ^2 slightly larger than needed. Determine the required actual size by using an existing insole.

◆ Cut along the trim mark ③ and adjust the insole ② it the heel and sides to your individual size.

◆ The battery pack⑦ are fully charged when the function indicators ⑤ glow green.

NOTE

▶ Frequent overcharging of the battery pack⑦ (over 8 hours) results in a reduction of both efficiency and service lifetime.
For longer storage periods (e.g. over the summer), the battery packs ⑦ should be charged to half their capacity (charging time approx. 3 hours) to extend their service life.

Handling and operation

In this section you receive important information for the handling and operation of the appliance.

Switching the insoles on / off / selecting the heat setting

Place the trimmed insoles ② in your shoes with the printed side down and run the cable upward along the heel.
