How to use the rice cooking mode?

Rinse the rice, pour it into the bowl with the amount of water indicated by the markings. Select the Rice program and press Start. The appliance stops automatically.

Can I open the lid during cooking?

No, especially in pressure cooking mode. Wait for the pressure to be released automatically or use the manual decompression valve. In normal mode, you can briefly open by pressing the opening button after stopping.

How to clean the multicooker?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool. Remove the inner bowl and lid, wash them with soapy water or in the dishwasher. Wipe the body with a damp cloth. Never immerse the body.

What to do if the rice is overcooked or undercooked?

Check the rice/water proportions: generally 1 volume of rice for 1.2 to 1.5 volume of water depending on the rice type. Use the provided measuring cup. The Fuzzy Logic adjusts cooking, but dosage errors affect the result.

How to use the delayed cooking function?

Set the desired end time by pressing Timer. Select the program, then adjust the delay. The appliance starts automatically to finish at the chosen time. Do not use for perishable foods.

The appliance displays 'Error', what to do?

Turn off and unplug the appliance. Check that the bowl is properly in place and the gasket is clean. Wait 10 minutes then plug back in. If the error persists, contact Moulinex customer service.

Can I cook saucy dishes without pressure?

Yes, use the Stew or Slow Cook programs. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. The lid can remain closed or slightly open depending on the recipe.

How to replace the lid gasket?

Purchase a compatible replacement gasket for Moulinex MK7058. Remove the old one by gently pulling it out of its groove. Place the new gasket by pressing evenly. Make sure it is properly seated before closing the lid.

Can I simmer legumes without soaking?

Yes, the Legume cooking program (if available) or Slow Cook allows cooking without soaking, but cooking time will be longer. Rinse the legumes before cooking.

What to do if steam escapes from the valve?

This is normal when pressure cooking generates steam. If the flow is excessive or continuous, check that the gasket is properly in place and that the valve is not blocked. Clean the valve with a toothpick.

Connecting to the power supply

- Do not use the appliance if:

Using

• Use a flat, stable, heat-resistant work surface away from any water splashes.

• Never try to operate the appliance when the bowl is empty or without the bowl.
• The cooking function/knob must be allowed to operate freely. Do not prevent or obstruct the function from automatically changing to the keep warm function.
• Do not remove the bowl while the appliance is working.
• Do not put the appliance directly onto a hot surface, or any other source of heat or flame, as it will cause a failure or danger.
• The bowl and the heating plate should be in direct contact. Any object or food inserted between these two parts would with the correct operation.
• Do not place the appliance near a heat source or in a hot oven, as serious damage could result.
• Do not put any food or water into the appliance until the bowl is in place.
• Respect the levels indicated in the recipes.
• Should any part of your appliance catch fire, do not attempt to put it out with water. To smother the flames use a damp teatowel.
• Any intervention should only be made by a service centre with original spare parts.
